Tastes like you'd expect, mixes ok. But the most difficult thing about this product is that no information is given about how much of each 'green' is in the product, so it's hard to know how the nutrients are distributed. There's also no information about how this compares to eating raw vegetables or 'five a day'. So it's hard to judge 1) what's in the product and 2) why it should be taken alongside eating veggies.Goes Well With:vegetables
I, like gym rats everywhere don't have time to chomp through a truck load of greens every day to benefit from the measly 1g of actual nutrients it provides. Enter "Total Nutri Greens". From the moment that (hmmm) muddy looking pond water touched my lips I knew I’d found my salvation! No more chomping on grass for me ever! I immediately felt its superhero nutritional effects, from being able to bench an extra 200lbs in 1 week to having superb night vision, now i catch mice for my cat in the dark, she is so jealous. So in summary mixes well, looks like raw sewage, tastes like dried sprouts and you feel better after about a week’s use. Top Tip: Mix with flavoured protein (trust me on this one).
Good product but no way of knowing how much is in it and how many portions of vegetables it is equivalent to. This is really annoying. No detailed nutritional information means I can't tell what vitamins and minerals are in it and how much more vegetables I need to have in the day. So could be entirely pointless.Goes Well With:Trust
I purchased this product a couple of months ago as I am someone who doesn't get anywhere near enough fruit and veg daily. Looked this up and thought "Perfect! A convenient way to consume fruit and veg in a drinkable form and it'll be relatively easy." That being said, I have yet to fully appreciate the benefits of this. Primary reason being the taste is not of this Earth. It is incredibly difficult to get past even if you try your best to chug it down as quickly as possible. That is probably down to my naivety of the blend of the various fruits and veg and expected some sort of heavenly taste so I applaud those who can down this with ease. Again, I have only truly tried this less than a handful of times so ratings giving are based off of early experiences. Expect to see updated review.
I have previously tried the unflavoured version of total nutri-greens and I absolutely hated it. It was a struggle to drink because of it's vegetable-like taste and powdery texture. But I was determined to continue because there are just too many benefits I'd be missing out on. I decided to try the tropical flavour and I wasn't expecting much - it smelt slightly better than the unflavoured version which was a good start. Three scoops with water in my shaker and it mixed extremely well. Reluctantly took my first sip - wow! I don't know how they've done it, but this tastes absolutely great. I mean, there's absolutely NO lingering vegetable taste and the powdery texture seems to have vanished. I'd go as far as to say it's really refreshing and something I'd actually just drink normally. I now look forward to my morning green drink!
Total Nutri-Greens powder is perfect to add to protein shakes when you want more nutrients and fibre in your low calorie diet. I use this twice a day. Keeps things "moving" and I feel confident I am getting what I need compared to protein powder alone. Turns everythjng dark green but combines well with latte and strawberry flavours of shake so the taste doesn't bug me. If you are sensitive to flavours you might be better with tablets...
Before buying this, I'd been taking wheatgrass shots. so I was expecting a potent flavour. I was not disappointed. I try to take this at least once a day to supplement the vegetables I eat. For ease, I mix it with a fizzy vitamin C tablet, the Superfood XS and the powdered BCAA, put it in a small shaker, shake the living daylights out of it then chug it down as quick as possible. Since I've started taking this wondrous concoction, I've noticed an increase in energy levels. I've just put in an order for my second pouch.Goes Well With:Superfood XS, vitamin C fizzy tabs, water
Why would the manufacturer put sweeteners (which are quite widely known to be toxic to the brain and liver) in a product which is supposed to improve health and help with detoxification. I bought this product not realising it had sweeteners. It's now in the bin. I won't be buying it again for this reason..... this is supposed to be a health food. Why does it need to be sweet?Goes Well With:Something healthy without sweeteners
Smelling like a neglected fish tank, I wasn't really sure that I wanted to drink this, after mixing it in- but I was really pleasantly suprised, it has a kind of a "sea" flavor, that's similar to the taste of sea vegetables, nori, kombu, wakame and the like. However, it's too plain to drink by itself. Tried it with a bit of salt, not the best, but better. I won't really be drinking it like that, anyways- It'll be an addition to my morning shake. It seems pretty good for that.
Tastes good, smells bad. Great fox extra greens when they are lacking in your diet.
I bought this recently to give it a whirl. I got the fruit punch flavour and I've got to say that it tastes really nice, much better than I expected. I got the 100g packet and it is a bit of a faff getting the powder out but I only got that size to try it out and I will get a bigger one next time. Mixability is fine, works better in a shaker to really absorb it but I've been also putting it in a glass of water at breakfast with a really good stir. I can't really say that I feel any more energetic but I feel more reassured that I'm getting more greens into my diet. Good product, will buy again.Goes Well With:Water
Taste is nice - I got tropical and it's more than nice enough just to drink instead of squash. Slightly frothy texture but settles down to a nice drink. As most reviews, it's hard to see or feel a difference but good to know it tops up my nutrient intake.
I used the flavoured Nutri-Greens before and i liked it, so wanted to get the same one. Ended up getting the unflavoured version because that was the only one that was in stock. This works well with any juice, mixes well and helps me get my daily portion of green vitamins, especially on some days when I am out and about. It doesn't taste bad even when mixed in pure water, but goes better with juice.
I seen people complain about the tropical flavor taste saying 'its sickly' & 'Its too sweet'... Seriously these people are pathetic... This product is fantastic! tropical flavor is perfect, not sickly in anyway. Will buy again! Have seen some impact on digestion in a positive way, eating stupid amounts of food trying to gain weight always has an impact on your digestion rate and this product really helps to sort things out (doesn't make your digestion perfect, but it does help!) would recommend to anyone struggling with digestion and needing more greens! Once again Myprotein doesn't disappoint! Goes Well With:Breakfast.
This powder is a really good choice, both in terms of effectiveness and price/value-wise. Already feeling the benefits after 3 weeks of usage (more mental clarity, less fatigue, improved sleep).Goes Well With:Omega-3, Maltodextrin, ZMA
I have tried different green powders and I could say this is the only one I can stomach. I have the tropical flavor and it's not too sweet, I am a fan of tropical everything. Definitely recommended. Only negative note, there is no scoop in the bag, the serving size is spoon.
Found this to be very refreshing, easy to mix, taste is really nice and this has cleared up my complexion. Great product!Goes Well With:Anything.
This product is light, easy to mix and actually enjoyable for a greens drink. Really tasty! All round awesome product and will definitely continue to use.
I was advised to get this as part of my new plan. Its not normally something id look for or buy. Dont be put off by the colour.. Get the flavoured packet! It just taste like tropical juice. I have learnt to close my eyes and go! It may look like pond water but it doesnt taste like it! I have even tempted a few work colleagues to try it after much apprehension! if you struggle getting your greens or just want an extra boost. Go for it. Goes Well With:water
Mix this in my protein smoothies using a blender so no issues with mix-ability and in this day and age we can all do with some extra green goodness. MyProtein is only supplement company/products for me!
Love the tropical flavour have it every morning before having breakfast. Noticed a massive difference since taking it highly recommended
Great start to day. Mix easily with water and it goes down well. Tropical flavour is good if you're having it on its own. Unflavoured is best mixed in with a smoothieGoes Well With:Any meal
i have unflavoured to avoid the added sugar.. it took a few drinks to get used to but now i dont even notice ive made a change to my shake ( i drink it with unsweetened almond milk, spinach and a teaspoon of peanut butter)Goes Well With:peanut butter
I brought this product so I could mix it when making smoothies. It's all ok. The flavour is weird but I really like it. Goes Well With:Juice or soya milk
I've been using the tropical flavour for 2 weeks now and the first time i tried this I swear I nearly vommed. But after using it daily I have adapted to the taste, I don't mind it anymore. Just water it down a lot and drink it down quick, and it's easier to drink. Mixes great, I feel great, defo worth the 1 week struggle of having to avoid vomiting and my desk in the mornings.Goes Well With:Breakfast
I had the liberty of trying out this product after my wife purchased it for me as a Christmas gift. After trying a similar product by PHD, I was keen to try this out. Not only is the product considerably cheaper than PHD's version (I can't recall the exact name of their product), but the taste is actually surprisingly moreish. I have certainly noticed a difference with this product. My immune system has always been poor; and I was frequently susceptible to colds. After stacking this with the My Protein multivitamin since January, I feel less fatigued, and have had less bouts of illness. A worthwhile purchase, and considerably cheaper than similar products on the market; such as PHD, or Warrior Greens. Goes Well With:My Protein's multivitamin tablet and green tea
Tropical flavour is nice (not too strong). I mix 1 tbs of NutriGreens with juice or hot water every morning. Mixability is nice (I`ve seen better). I would recommend this to everyone.Goes Well With:Orange juice, Apple Juice, Water.
I bought this supplement just to help balance my diet out. It's a simple shake that mixes amazingly and tastes ok, it has a bit of an after taste but what doesn't?
This is a very good supplement which I can't go without anymore, however the taste isn't the best. Found the tropical flavour sickeningly sweet should have just stuck to the original But all things considered the nutrition provided is amazing so it's not all bad news Goes Well With:No taste buds.
I got the tropical flavour and have been mixing it with apple juice, it goes a very strange colour, very dark, which isnt really a problem just a surprise. It tastes tropically, its drinkable, im not personally too keen on the taste (hence trying to hide it under apple juice) but i dont particularly like tropical flavours so im sure that people that liked tropical stuff would like it. It mixes really well, no powdery texture, some flakes around the bottom but nothing major, the stuff just disappears I generally drink it when i know ive not been eating well recently to get some sort of healthy foods in me.Goes Well With:Apple juice
First time user of the Tropical flavour and have to say, LOVED the taste! I mixed it with myprotein Total Breakfast supplement and later in the afternoon, chocolate orange whey, and will admit the taste did overpower them both ... so wondering if it might be an idea to save money and buy flavourless protein and use this as a flavouring (killing 2 birds with one stone!) Cant vote for the nutritional aspects as others have said; but as my daily fruit and veg input is virtually non existent, every little helps. Note: the Total Breakfast whey is GORGEOUS ... so I'm going to have to take this seperately from now. So far would recommend and will be buying again. Goes Well With:Unflavoured protein or on its own in water ... havent tried it with milk yet.
Had this recommend to me because I wasn't getting enough veg in my daily intake. Ordered the tropical and not looked back. Make sure you don't order the unflavoured one by mistake. The taste is not goodGoes Well With:Impact diet whey
Great Product, easy mixing tastes fine with my protein shake!
Ultra greens are easy to mix and not as nasty tasting as the other products on the market!! We have only been using it for two days as it took two weeks for my stuff to be delivered! I would however buy it again
Excellent way to get some extra greens in!Goes Well With:Would definitely recommend that you mix it with a protein drink, doesn't taste the best on its own
I just feel more alert and ready to start the day when I take these first thing.. Don't know if it's just me or other people feel the same but I tend to not pick throughout the day
My 2nd day taking this supplement. I take one in the morning after breakfast and one in the evening before my last meal. Found that it mixes semi ok. If you leave for too long the particles do settle at the bottom. Tried drinking with water and it was unbareable. I now mix with 300ml Apple Juice which makes it so much more bareable but you still have to down it! Feel that it's too early to make a judgement on the effectiveness of this product as I have only been taking it for 2 days! Goes Well With:Apple Juice not squash!
..I have to agree that the lack of information about the precise composition of this blend makes me a little uneasy. I wanted to know how much fiber and vitamins I am getting out of it so I can balance my diet accordingly. The reason why I bought it is because I go to the gym early in the morning and wanted to added something green to my post workout shake. Now I add a couple of Spoons of NutriGreen to my shake which consists of Diet Whey Protein, Flaxseed (1 tablespoon) and Chia seeds (1 tablespoon). The bottom line is that I like the product despite the controversies and feel that I am rewarding my body after workout. Get some more Nutritional information available, please! :)Goes Well With:Diet Whey Protein (Cookies & Cream), Flaxseed (1 tablespoon) and Chia seeds (1 tablespoon) - Good for an early morning post workout shake to help you recover!
put into a protein shake to get all your daily essentials in one go, brill if you are in a hurry or just don't like veg,
Best tasting greens drink I've ever tried ! Settles at the bottom of my flask but a quick shake and it's fine and in my opinion totally worth it for the taste 😊
The powder itself does not have the most appetising smell or appearance but it is a great product. The taste is uncommon but adds something to shake, smoothies and readybrek (ground oats). The unflavoured mix is surprisingly good and in my opinion is much more versatile. One small problem is that the powder seems to stick to your fingers if you leave the scoop in the bag, so I would recommend against this. Also a little bit goes a long way so 3 small scoops might not be necessary if you are eating your micro-nutrients anyway. On side note it makes shakes green which is always funGoes Well With:Protein shake, readybrek (ground oats), fruit smoothies.
Firstly and most importantly it's not tasteless. There's a definite lingering taste to it that will change the flavour of your protein or whatever you mix it with. The taste is what you imagine a greens nutrient drink would be like, sort of spinach-y. Secondly it turns everything a funky green colour. On the plus side I didn't buy it for taste or what it looks like. Seems to be a top product rammed full of nutrients.
Great product which mixes well and has significantly improved my IBS symptoms. Highly recommend.
I ordered the unflavoured one (by mistake, wanted flavoured), this is the first time trying a greens type product and I've got mixed reactions. It's tastes pretty bad but certainly not as disgusting as some people are suggesting, it's bearable and mixed in with some fruit juice it tastes ok. This is of course to be expected with any greens product. I'm not sure what to really expect other than safeguarding my fruit/veg intake. Since my diet is already high in fruit and veg I don't have any real huge expectations. It would be great for people on a diet or people lacking fruit/veg. To sum up, great product from a great company. Negatives: Soy Lecithin first ingredient listed I've been having about 5 scoops a day for a week now. Not sure if I would buy again, I normally use the superfood product which for me is a superior product so will probably go back to that. I may buy again to mix it up but will purchase flavoured next time.
As long as you dont look at it or smell it, the tropical flavoured version is quite palatable.
Best tasting greens drink! Make sure get flavoured though!
looks and smells worse than manky pond water, i can never down anything so very difficult to see myself taking this everyday... taste is just about acceptable. It seems they have chucked loads of sweetener in it to disguise the bad taste/smell. Overall, im glad i just bought a sample...
Just started the product and taste is fine. However I havnt really found any improvement in terms of my health. Will give a more up to date review when iv finished it.
I've bought this a couple of times now and it's usually been great. Unfortunately this time, I ordered tropical by mistake and it's tastes nasty. It's too sickly sweet and I'm certain the sweeteners added reduces the overall effectiveness of the greens. Next time I'll check my order with a little more thoroughness. Goes Well With:Whey protein
Got the tropical flavour as part of a bundle and will be ordering again. Tastes good and after drinking for a week can notice the benefit. Great product but some ingredients don't seem to mix well which leaves it gritty at the end. Would have been 5-stars if it mixed better. Goes Well With:Water
