A super convenient product for a quick healthy breakfast! I brought a batch of 20 sachets approximately 3 weeks ago, and I would highly recommend this product simply for the lack of prep. I keep the sachets in my draw at work along with a bag of raisins (and obviously a bowl and spoon), most mornings when I'm running a bit late I get to work on an empty stomach. I empty the contents of the sachet into my bowl and fill to about half way with skimmed milk, admittadley getting the consistancey (thickness) of the porridge right did take numerous attempts, but that is down to personal preference. I microwave for roughly 150 seconds and its piping hot and ready to eat. Pro's No special storage requirements (fridges etc.) could be kept in a bag, cupboard or desk. Easily prepared in less than 5 minutes. Only a microwave or kettle is required for prep which 90% of work places have. Keeps me feeling full from 8 until 12 most days along with an apple and banana fruit snack in between. Mixes with boiled water if milk/kettle is not available. Source of protein. Con's The banana flavoured porridge - yet delicious, is florescent yellow, which will turn a few heads in the office. The whey powder does cause the oats to "clump" together quite alot, so I'd recommend stirring well before and inbetween microwaving. Although the product is produced for impact and not taste, having the same breakfast everyday can get boring and sickly, throwing in a handful of berries or raisins makes a world of difference. Goes Well With:Cows milk, Coconut milk, Tap water, and Raisins
I accidentally ordered 80 servings of chocolate (meant to get golden syrup). It's OK, it's the same weird flavour you get with chocolate whey. It doesn't mix well so you end up with chocolatey milk with powdery lumps. To be honest you'd be better off using supermarket porridge and necking a serving of whey while you wait for it to warm up
Strawberry was too sweet for me but Banana was PERFECT. Thanks for making my mornings exciting!
The porridge is absolutely horrid, the overwhelming sweetner taste gives a ridiculously sweet syrup and then it just tastes artificial (as with most sweetners), it leaves you feeling sick. Goes Well With:The bin.
I purchased 20 sachets of the vanilla flavour as it was in the sale, was not expecting it to be as nice as it was after reading a few reveiws. i replaced the milk with water as people complained it was too thick and thought it would help, it does, the consistency is perfect and throw in some blueberries and almonds and it really is a tasty, filling breakfast, i dont find myself being hungry mid morning anymore whatsoever. highly recommended, will definitely be purchasing againGoes Well With:blueberries, almonds, cashew nuts
Thankfully I ordered this in Banana Flavor as if any of the other reviews are anything to go by, the other flavors even are more intense. This is a good idea no doubt, but it's basically just a bit of protein powder mixed with a portion of oats and... added sweetener. It's in that final ingredient where the problem lies. It's so sweet it's almost overpowering. Having said that it is bearable and saves me time. Plus if you mix enough milk with it and experiment with some fruit it kind of works, if a bit lumpy. Maybe if My Protein take out the sweetener i'll give it another roll of the dice. Goes Well With:Milk (any kind), Fruit
First purchase from my protein after trying different brands and found this to be the best. Firstly despite a very strong taste (which isn't too sweet to my tasting) there is still a low sugar percentage which makes a perfect breakfast alternative. I can't wait to try the other flavors however strawberry is lovely. Goes Well With:Soya Milk (mild, low fat)
Chocolate protein porridge- what a waste of money. Not nice at all, hardly edible! Mixes bad, tastes even worse, smells like dog food...Will never ever again buy protein porridge! Not recommended at all.Goes Well With:Nothing
I recently bought 40 sachets of the maple syrup flavour when it was on offer. Although it is sweet, it's by no means as bad as some people make out. The main downside to this item is its mixability - often just left with flavoured milk and a few lumps of oats. I'm still trying to get the this process right. Overall, for a quick meal with little prep, its great. I'd only recommend buying when it's on sale. Don't expect Quacker oats sachets.Goes Well With:Milk when done right.
Very good product. Easy to mix and eat when in need of quick healthy breakfast or snack. Chocolate taste is just great. I will definitely buy it again. Goes Well With:Extra oats, etc.
The porridge is easy to mix and tastes great, it keeps me full right through to lunch time, so it's good for me being on a calorie controlled diet. couldn't recommend it more highly.
I bought this thinking it would be a nice tasting maple syrup porridge but how wrong I was! It tastes so unnaturally sweet it made my teeth feel like they were going to rot and fall out before the bowl was over! I'm not sure what the other flavours taste like but I highly advise against the maple syrup one. I've now got 20 sachets (or how ever many are in a large pack) shuvved to the back of my cupboard. Complete waste of money.Goes Well With:A dentist appointment!
Bought this despite negative reviews about sweetness and artificial taste. 'I love sweet, artificial tasting stuff!' I thought. Bad move. Maple syrup flavour tastes like petrol mixed with a gallon of aspartame and some melted plastic mixed in there for good measure. I followed the instructions to the letter and was left with a hot soupy mixture of cloudy sweetener-juice with a few raw oats floating around in it. Even leaving it to stand didn't help - in fact, it just infused my entire kitchen with the sickly sweet plastic smell which seemed to linger for days. I still can't get rid of it. Shudder. In short, don't bother. If you're considering buying this, pop round to my place and you can have my sack of 19 unopened sachets for free.Goes Well With:Being chucked in the bin immediately on receipt.
I dont like milk, so this flavoured porridge is great with water and the low sugar means its a better alternative to other flavoured porridge. I love the strawberry one.Goes Well With:water!
Protein porridge is so quick and simple to make when I have no time on a morning, or great as fuel for pre-workout and helps power me through my workout with a good balance of macros. Always buy the chocolate flavour and love itGoes Well With:Hot water, banana, goji berries,
Banana flavour ok but curdles if overheated (more than 2 mins) and texture is then horrible so be careful! Convenient but at the end of the day just instant porridge sachet with whey powder. Glad bought on offer! Goes Well With:Milk
Amazing kick start to my day Goes Well With:Espresso
I have tried the chocolate flavour of this protein porridge and it is simply delicious. I usually top mine with cacao nibs for some crunch and a sliced banana. I've recently just ordered 2 x40 bags, so I've stocked up as I do have it daily now as it is so filling and sets me up for the day, it tastes really good and has a good protein/carb balance. As well as this, it is quick and easy to make which makes it ideal if you don't have much time for breakfast etc. Goes Well With:Cacao nibs and banana
Delicious for breakfast! Sometimes have 2 sachets if very hungry or add a scoop of protein to it. Great taste.
Ace start tot he day and keeps you going through those early morning runsGoes Well With:any types of fruit and good on it's own
I've bought the vanilla flavoured porridge in the past, but thought I'd try the maple syrup. It's really tasty. It can be a bit hit and miss as to whether I get the ratio of milk to oats right for a good blend. But on the whole I'm happy with the product and would buy againGoes Well With:Soya milk and mixed nuts and fruit
Fits its purpose well as a low effort high protein nutritious food. Taste is acceptable for its nutrition.
Super quick and easy breakfast with an added hit of protein. This is perfect for work as I can take the sachets with me. I've tried the chocolate, maple and vanilla so far and all have tasted excellent (especially the chocolate!) Quite sweet so be careful what you add in.Goes Well With:Nuts, sultanas, blueberries, milk or water
Maple Syrup protein porridge is a daily part of my diet. I use it with water not milk and it still tastes great. It does not quite have the consistency of traditional rolled oats but the flavour is great and it is a more than convenient way of getting quick protein in for breakfast. My only criticism is the packaging could contain a 'fill to this line' style label inside so i don't have to guesstimate 150-200ml of water every morning. Goes Well With:Water or Milk
After trying the vanilla and chocolate and loving them I decided to try the golden syrup, they don't sell a sample of the syrup flavours so I had to order a larger size, they were on offer so I bought 40 as I love the other two flavours, the golden syrup is just as nice as the others, it is sweeter but not overly sweet, they all mix really well and taste great, I use 150ml milk and microwave for 60 seconds, stir then microwave for a further 30 seconds. I leave it for a few minutes and it thickens up nicely. So easy to make first thing in the morning.Goes Well With:Milk
I bought a sample of the porridge in chocolate and vanilla just to make my order up for an offer, I don't usually like porridge much but thought I would give it a go. I tried the vanilla and was amazed at how nice it is, I tried the chocolate the following morning and it was even tastier, I have now ordered 40 sachets of each and this has replaced the protein pancakes that I usually have, it is a great winter breakfast and gives me a bit of protein before my morning workout.Goes Well With:Milk
Hello, I recently purchased a number of items along with this protein porridge. I found all the items tasty, good quality and to a high standard. The protein porridge I am not happy with. I find it is quite dusty when it's made, too thick in texture and has a strange after taste. I have followed the instructions on the packaging and tried it with water and different types of milk. I was still un-inspired on each occasion. I would be grateful of some kind of compensation as I want to continue using myprotein.com
Very happy with product as it takes exactly like normal porridge but with added benefit of more protein! Perfect for anyone wanting to "clean bulk". Although sometimes if not mixed well enough there can be some big lumps. Would buy again! Goes Well With:Breakfast
Ordered the chocolate sachets and after reading so many good reviews decided to buy 40 to save on the re-ordering. Havent been able to finish one sachet yet due to feeling so sick, definately wouldnt use the chocolate with milk warmed up. Will now blend in a shake but overall very dissapointed with product - especially in comparicon to other things from the site.
Not the best stuff, lumpy, chewy and difficult to swallow. the protein mixed with the oats, just doesn't work on this. It's almost to the point where it's a bit 'gag' ish. Not one for me, wouldn't buy it again, would stick to the other stuff they have. If you want protein porridge go for a bowl of porridge washed down with a seperate protein shake!Goes Well With:Bin
I was a bit weary to buy in bulk in case I never like it. So I purchased a sample of the vanilla. I was very surprised. It tastes fantastic and gives me a great protein start to the day. I'm just about to make a order a pack of 40 sachets and a sample in a different flavour.
Don't have to use a scoop of protein to get the protein content up, makes it handy for the morning rush. Plus the added bonus of the serving sachets, makes life a lot easier on the go and no need to waste time weighing. Only tried chocolate and it's pretty nice, no need for sugar or honey.Goes Well With:Protein Granola
Good product however you have to get used to eating it but all in all good product
I like even the simple oats, but as we know that contain much less protein compare to this! The taste of the choco version is quiet nice, but I like even the unflavoured protein too, sooo compare to this, but seriously its good! :P Open it, mix with water or milk, I used mostly water but I also tried with milk, almost the same, with milk is a little more smoothie :P After mixing wait a few minutes, gonna be better!
Just had the banana flavour porridge, very easy to mix was also a nice yellow colour never expected that thought it would just be plain coloured. I had it with coco coconut milk and it tasted good.Goes Well With:Coconut milk
Definitley my favourite product, have ordered in both golden and maple syrup flavours and loved both. No doubt that it is extremely sweet but I love this! Makes a delicious breakfast with chopped fruit perfect with a banana and a shake.. Maple is less sweet than golden syrup so have to say that is my preferred flavour. Goes Well With:A morning cuppa
For a quick & easy breakfast which is high in protein then you really can't go wrong with the protein porridge. I had the Golden Syrup flavour and It taste delicious! i tend to have the porridge or pancakes for breakfast but with how quick and easy the porridge is to make it usually wins every time. Would definitely recommend and I shall be ordering some more soon!
After following the instructions given on the packet each time I made it up, it wasn't nice. Looks like soggy ginola. Doesn't cook very well. I tired 3 times to prepare it the way stated on the packet and each time it came out and I had to throw it again. Doesn't look or taste like porridge. Only once out of a total of 6 attempts did it remotely look and taste like it should. Very disappointed.
I purchased the chocolate flavour. It is so sweet it's inedible. I have a sweet tooth and I spat the first mouthful out it's that bad. Do not waste your money on this very poor product.
Ordered the golden syrup flavoured oats - excited about he prospects of some protein in my morning porridge, this is where the excitement ends. To say it was sweet is an under statement, sickly and inedible in my opinion. Stick to normal porridge oats and a shake.
Okay let me start by saying I love other products that I've had from my protein.. So please don't let this review put you off all together!! I ordered the chocolate flavour and it was far too sweet.. And I've got a massive sweet tooth.. I was literally gagging trying to eat it and couldn't finish it, I'd say it's completely inedible. I'm going to try putting it in the blender with some milk and fruit to see if it works better as a breakfast smoothie.. But as a porridge it really is vile!
I purchased the maple syrup flavour. It was so sweet it was inedible. Also the consistency was off even when the correct ratios were followed.
I don't have much time in the mornings to make a proper breakfast, so this is just amazing. I add 200ml milk to the mixture and in the microwave for 1.45seconds (mix half way) I add bananas and mixed berries flax/chai seeds on top and it's amazing and quick. Tastes great, I think a lot of people may find it quite sweet in the maple syrup flavour, first time I tried it I wasn't too sure, then I learnt to love it by the second! You defiantly need a sweet tooth to enjoy this product though. Goes Well With:Fruit, yogurts, chai/flax seeds
Getting your protein and carbs into you after a morning work out is so easy now. A packet of this porridge with a Impact Whey shake and jobs done! It tastes divine, some may say too sweet, but personally I love it as I have a sweet tooth! Get greedy and have two packets at once! Goes Well With:Impacy Whey
Great tasting porridge and easy to make for a quick snack
This is a great product all individually bagged up in 50g packets so no need for weighing out the maple syrup is fab
Have tried the Golden Syrup and Vanilla flavours and both are lovely. Yes they are sweet but not overly sweet for me personally. I soak my porridge overnight in a combination of unsweetened almond and soya milk, and then microwave for a couple of mins (stirring at least once in between) in the morning before I set off to work. I don't eat my breakfast until a couple of hours after I've been at work but I prefer the taste that way as I find that the porridge thickens a little and tastes a bit more creamy. Mixability isn't great and it is trial and error at the beginning until you find the right consistency. However, it is a healthy and convenient breakfast that is low in calories, fat and sugar. Will definitely be purchasing again!Goes Well With:Almond milk, Soya milk
I purchased the golden syrup taste and looked forward to having an easy daily protein packed breakfast/snack. Although very easy and quick, filling too, the taste is too sweet even with water instead of milk. I'll give mixing raisins or fruits with it see if it helps. Wouldn't purchase again though. Save the money for something else Goes Well With:Water
Very unhappy with this purchase. I was looking forward to trying however the porridge is very very sweet and not very good consistency. Wont be buying this again any time soon.
Even with my MAJOR sweet tooth, I find this a bit too sweet and consequently don't feel like I'm having the healthiest breakfast to kickstart the day. I got it in banana flavor and it really tastes great. I don't have a microwave, so the preparation is a tad demanding - you have to stir the product ALL the time, otherwise it will get burned pretty quickly. Despite the fact that I consider this too sweet, I will buy again as I find it to be a satisfying treat.Goes Well With:Rice milk, Vanilla soy milk
