Protein Porridge is a great tasting, high protein snack ideal to consume in the morning as part of a healthy breakfast or at any time throughout the day when looking to increase daily protein intake. Each sachet of porridge will provide over 13g of protein sourced from high quality whey protein concentrate. The carbohydrates are sourced from low GI, rolled oats to provide a steady release of energy into the blood as well as providing a low sugar content. Our protein porridge is specifically designed to contribute to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass. Simply empty 1 sachet (50g) into a bowl/mug and then add 150-250ml of boiling water. A super convenient product for a quick healthy breakfast! I brought a batch of 20 sachets approximately 3 weeks ago, and I would highly recommend this product simply for the lack of prep. I keep the sachets in my draw at work along with a bag of raisins (and obviously a bowl and spoon), most mornings when I'm running a bit late I get to work on an empty stomach. I empty the contents of the sachet into my bowl and fill to about half way with skimmed milk, admittadley getting the consistancey (thickness) of the porridge right did take numerous attempts, but that is down to personal preference. I microwave for roughly 150 seconds and its piping hot and ready to eat. Pro's No special storage requirements (fridges etc.) could be kept in a bag, cupboard or desk. Easily prepared in less than 5 minutes. Only a microwave or kettle is required for prep which 90% of work places have. Keeps me feeling full from 8 until 12 most days along with an apple and banana fruit snack in between. Mixes with boiled water if milk/kettle is not available. Source of protein. Con's The banana flavoured porridge - yet delicious, is florescent yellow, which will turn a few heads in the office. The whey powder does cause the oats to "clump" together quite alot, so I'd recommend stirring well before and inbetween microwaving. Although the product is produced for impact and not taste, having the same breakfast everyday can get boring and sickly, throwing in a handful of berries or raisins makes a world of difference. I purchased the maple syrup flavour. It was so sweet it was inedible. Also the consistency was off even when the correct ratios were followed.
I accidentally ordered 80 servings of chocolate (meant to get golden syrup). It's OK, it's the same weird flavour you get with chocolate whey. It doesn't mix well so you end up with chocolatey milk with powdery lumps. To be honest you'd be better off using supermarket porridge and necking a serving of whey while you wait for it to warm up

Syrup flavour porridge-ugh!! So sweet. Not too keen really but I have 20 sachets and I hate waste so I'll persevere. I make it with soya milk as it tastes vile with water. Once cooked it still tastes uncooked if that makes sense. The oats are quite hard and don't seem to soften in the cooking process. Having said that it is very filling and keeps the hunger locked away till lunch!!Goes Well With:Soya milk and a banana
Golden syrup flavour is so sickly sweet its barely edible. Even mixing it into plain unflavoured oats still leaves a sweet artificial after-taste. I do not understand how this got past any taste test, and very disappointing as product range is usually very high quality. Going to have to bin the rest of these packets.

Currently cutting (dieting) and had one of these for breakfast. Warm and tasty but more importantly it really filled me up for hours.
The porridge is absolutely horrid, the overwhelming sweetner taste gives a ridiculously sweet syrup and then it just tastes artificial (as with most sweetners), it leaves you feeling sick. Goes Well With:The bin.
I was a bit weary to buy in bulk in case I never like it. So I purchased a sample of the vanilla. I was very surprised. It tastes fantastic and gives me a great protein start to the day. I'm just about to make a order a pack of 40 sachets and a sample in a different flavour.
I purchased 20 sachets of the vanilla flavour as it was in the sale, was not expecting it to be as nice as it was after reading a few reveiws. i replaced the milk with water as people complained it was too thick and thought it would help, it does, the consistency is perfect and throw in some blueberries and almonds and it really is a tasty, filling breakfast, i dont find myself being hungry mid morning anymore whatsoever. highly recommended, will definitely be purchasing againGoes Well With:blueberries, almonds, cashew nuts
Thankfully I ordered this in Banana Flavor as if any of the other reviews are anything to go by, the other flavors even are more intense. This is a good idea no doubt, but it's basically just a bit of protein powder mixed with a portion of oats and... added sweetener. It's in that final ingredient where the problem lies. It's so sweet it's almost overpowering. Having said that it is bearable and saves me time. Plus if you mix enough milk with it and experiment with some fruit it kind of works, if a bit lumpy. Maybe if My Protein take out the sweetener i'll give it another roll of the dice. Goes Well With:Milk (any kind), Fruit
First purchase from my protein after trying different brands and found this to be the best. Firstly despite a very strong taste (which isn't too sweet to my tasting) there is still a low sugar percentage which makes a perfect breakfast alternative. I can't wait to try the other flavors however strawberry is lovely. Goes Well With:Soya Milk (mild, low fat)
I tend to not like taken the protein shakes with me to work, so I find this as a great alternative. It also means I can just get full up on it for breakfast and get almost the same benefits out of a protein shake as well as the benefits of porridge being a decent fuel. I've recommended it to several people and I've definitely noticed results when at the gym
Firstly. I read a lot of reviews regarding the sweetness. I found that pitting the oats into a bowl and pouring in hot/ boiling water the porridge was sweet and bitty and fairly unpleasant. However I think the over sweetness problem goes away if the oats are cooked for long enougth. I Found the hot water cooled too quickly in a bowl and the oats only had a minute actually cooking. By putting the oats in a mug/cup the oats were able to cook for the 5 min I felt was a suitable as the water cooled a lot slower. Microwaving had strange results if the water was heated to boiling point but again the over powering sweetness was definitely less. Without the porridge being too sweet I eat it after the gym and feel full until lunch. Hope this helps other people that find the oats too sweet.
Ordered a big bag of 40 satchets to take on hiking/wildcamping trips. All you really need is hot water and maybe some dried fruit to go with it. It's lightweight and waterproof as well. Ordered the chocolate flavour and tried with 200ml of boiling water. The instructions say 150-250ml and I think it's more like 150ml, since even 200ml were way to much. It mixes okay when you constantly stir for a minute or so. The taste is quite good as such, but it's waaaay to sweet. I mean this is a product for people who are concious of their diet. We can put our own sweetener in if we like. I've banned sugar pretty much from my life so this was a bit of an "ewww"-moment. I got used to it after a few spoons and had a banana with it, which was nice. For the sake of ease of use, this is perfect. But if you're not relying on separate satchets, you're better off creating your own mix of oats and whey protein powder.Goes Well With:bananas, berries
Mixed views on this banana is so sweet almost makes you sick, vanilla is ok, but I have found if you let it go cold it is fab not so sweet and tasted like rice pudding . Can even eat the banana one now so no need to bin it like some have said in other reviews.Goes Well With:Blueberry raspberry eny fruit.
I initially tried this with water and couldn't eat it. it was slightly better with milk, but mixed with normal oats around half and half made up with milk in the micro it is quite nice. I chose the golden syrup flavour, however it is waaaay too sweet, and an artificial sweet. I am eating it mixed with basic porridge oats to that its not wasted, but I don't think I would buy it again!Goes Well With:milk and oats

Before I purchased MyProtein porridge I'd just been putting a scoop of protein and mixing it into regular oats and topping the whole thing with Maple Syrup so I assumed I would be getting the same thing and making my life easier by buying this product. I got the MAPLE SYRUP flavour but god was I wrong, it has potential as a product but first off the oats didn't mixed well and fluff up but instead they were very bitty (I tried with both water and milk). I have a sweet tooth so I didn't think I'd be too bothered about the taste being overely sweet but it was too much even for me. I bought a big bag of 20 but I hardly touch it unless it's an energy. Won't buy again. Macros are good at least so thats a pro.

Tried the protein porridge and really disliked it. I eat porridge most mornings with a protein shake so thought is try the protein porridge in strawberry to cut time. Porridge had a very synthetic taste wasn't pleasent at all and it gave me the heartburn for hours after.
I ordered the golden syrup flavour which was delicious! Quite sweet so maybe people without a sweet tooth should try another flavour. I'm going to try most of them! I like that it still has the oats to chew making the texture more like porridge rather than other supplements I've had which are smooth.Goes Well With:Soya milk

Thought I bought 2 packs of Protein Porridge when on offer, one banana flavor the other maple syrup. What I got was just maple syrup. OK I thought as I usually put some maple syrup in another brand of Protein Porridge, nice. What do I find... they've overloaded on maple syrup in the taste so stuck with 40 packets that I can barely eat. Have mixed with blue berries which make it a little better but still struggle. Going to try with dried apricots next or with cranberries sauce. personally stay clear of the maple syrup flavor. Don't let this put you off though as others have recommended different flavors and eventually when got through theses will try a different flavor. Goes Well With:Nothing so far!
I went for golden syrup flavour as this is what I used to eat. Sucralose makes it very very sweet, a lot sweeter than I would expect. When mixed with instant oats (either chocolate or normal) it is perfect! I eat porridge blended with oats and usually fresh strawberries and bananas and can easily survive until lunch :)Goes Well With:Instant oats, tri carbs
Decent enough porridge with ok amount of protein. A few more oats would help consistency, considering the amount of powder I'd think 25g protein would be achievable. Overall pretty good though and worth a try, pretty much a staple for me now! I just add a handful extra of some cheap oats when bulking to make up the cals. Goes Well With:Banana
Don't get me wrong the other reviews re / sweetness of the maple syrup and golden syrup varieties of this aren't wrong, but hey - if you're ordering a maple variety then chances are you have a sweet tooth! Really delicious and great on the nutritional front: portions are slightly on the small side but not bad value overall. Goes Well With:Myprotein syrup.

I tried a sample of the vanilla porridge oats, which I mixed as per to instructions with milk. At first it look great at mixed well, but then it went really strange and bitty (I'm assuming the protein power in it). Anyway thia aside I couldn't eat as it was so sweet it took my breathe away, if sweet is your thing u will probably love this but for me It was inedible it wasn't just sweet it Tastes like it is full of sweeteners which are horrid! I recently bought 40 sachets of the maple syrup flavour when it was on offer. Although it is sweet, it's by no means as bad as some people make out. The main downside to this item is its mixability - often just left with flavoured milk and a few lumps of oats. I'm still trying to get the this process right. Overall, for a quick meal with little prep, its great. I'd only recommend buying when it's on sale. Don't expect Quacker oats sachets.Goes Well With:Milk when done right.

I bought this thinking it would be a nice tasting maple syrup porridge but how wrong I was! It tastes so unnaturally sweet it made my teeth feel like they were going to rot and fall out before the bowl was over! I'm not sure what the other flavours taste like but I highly advise against the maple syrup one. I've now got 20 sachets (or how ever many are in a large pack) shuvved to the back of my cupboard. Bought this despite negative reviews about sweetness and artificial taste. 'I love sweet, artificial tasting stuff!' I thought. Bad move. Maple syrup flavour tastes like petrol mixed with a gallon of aspartame and some melted plastic mixed in there for good measure. I followed the instructions to the letter and was left with a hot soupy mixture of cloudy sweetener-juice with a few raw oats floating around in it. Even leaving it to stand didn't help - in fact, it just infused my entire kitchen with the sickly sweet plastic smell which seemed to linger for days. I still can't get rid of it. Shudder. In short, don't bother. If you're considering buying this, pop round to my place and you can have my sack of 19 unopened sachets for free.Goes Well With:Being chucked in the bin immediately on receipt.

I have tried the chocolate flavour of this protein porridge and it is simply delicious. I usually top mine with cacao nibs for some crunch and a sliced banana. I've recently just ordered 2 x40 bags, so I've stocked up as I do have it daily now as it is so filling and sets me up for the day, it tastes really good and has a good protein/carb balance. As well as this, it is quick and easy to make which makes it ideal if you don't have much time for breakfast etc. Goes Well With:Cacao nibs and banana

Maple Syrup protein porridge is a daily part of my diet. I use it with water not milk and it still tastes great. It does not quite have the consistency of traditional rolled oats but the flavour is great and it is a more than convenient way of getting quick protein in for breakfast. My only criticism is the packaging could contain a 'fill to this line' style label inside so i don't have to guesstimate 150-200ml of water every morning. Goes Well With:Water or Milk
After trying the vanilla and chocolate and loving them I decided to try the golden syrup, they don't sell a sample of the syrup flavours so I had to order a larger size, they were on offer so I bought 40 as I love the other two flavours, the golden syrup is just as nice as the others, it is sweeter but not overly sweet, they all mix really well and taste great, I use 150ml milk and microwave for 60 seconds, stir then microwave for a further 30 seconds. I leave it for a few minutes and it thickens up nicely. So easy to make first thing in the morning.Goes Well With:Milk
