Amino Acids are complex chemicals that are the building blocks of protein, which are required for the creation of new tissue, and the repair of existing cells. An Essential Amino Acid cannot be synthesised or created by the body and therefore must be supplied from the diet.
The main essential amino acids required by the body are Leucine, Isoleucine, Valine, Lysine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Histidine, Methionine, and Tryptophan. This has 5000mg of Leucine per 15g serving which is higher than the standard whey protein and has zero fat and carbohydrates.
Essential Amino Acids are recommended for anyone looking to increase their daily intake of amino acids. These can be found in small quantities in natural foods but are found in higher amounts when supplemented.
Add your preferred amount of water or fruit juice into our shaker. Then add 15g, shake and consume immediately. Use twice daily - one serving before and after your workout.
Note: We advise that all servings are measured using an accurate set of scales. While we make every attempt to provide an accurate equivalent measure using our Myprotein scoops, these are only approximate and are not a substitute for using a standardised measuring device.
Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dose. This product is a food supplement and therefore should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store in a cool dry place, out of the reach of young children.

Stop marking this (and other) products on the taste and mixability. I mix this in my protein shake and it tastes fine. The effect is excellent, which is the reason I bought it. Well done MYPROTEIN.Goes Well With:Appreciation for it's effectiveness and hard work!
The smell is horrible, which isnt a huge issue. The taste is just so bad... REALLY BAD, its quite bitter and its just repulsive (have to chug it and try not to heave, you cannot leave it in your mouth). I have mixed it with water (Bad Idea), Chocolate whey (Very bad idea) and really strong squash (Also quite bad) Hopefully overtime i will get used to the taste, but for now i will take half dosages twice as frequent as to avoid a strong taste. The mixibility is alright, you just have to use a shaker as it wont mix if stirred. The effectivness of the product however is very good, Strength and Size gains seem to have sped up and recovery has definitely got better. If you have a weak stomach and cannot bring yourself to drink something that tastes like this then i would not reccomend it, its a challenge just getting it down, however if you are prepared to endure this for the VERY good benefits of taking it then i'd say its worth it. Good Luck.Goes Well With:No taste buds
i have been using this for a month now, and have noticed less aching the next day and slight gains. i needed something new in my diet as i hit a plateau, so i turned to EAA's. i take this pre workout stacked with MyProtein caffeine powder and it prevents my energy levels dropping during training. highly recommend, but the taste is rancid. hold your nose when drinking it with a little bit of water.Goes Well With:water
Taste is horrid, really bad, and it doesn't mix very well either, BUT, once you manage to get it down you, the effect is HUGE. Great recovery during and after workout, even a long heavy one. I am amazed in times how much stamina I have in me.. can't live without it, but wow i wish it did not taste so bad. I found that if I mix it with beetroot juice its more or less drinkable, with anything else its just too overpowering. Goes Well With:Beetroot juice
I was looking for something to replace Whey after my training sessions and wanted something that would mix with a greens powder I have. I decide to give MyProtein EAA's a try and I couldn't be happier with it. It's been really effective these last 2 weeks of using it every day and I've found that I have heaps more energy after a really tough workout. It's also helped me cut down total consumed calories too. Would highly recommend and I will be re-purchasing. Goes Well With:Greens Powder
Just tried out the product so can't comment on effect at the moment. The taste is not bad at all. I put it in my protein shake (unflavored) and can't really taste the EAA at all. The mix-ability is good, obviously cant compare with whey but a quick shake will do the trick. Goes Well With:Water, protein shake
If you are over 40 this is a must have product as it will cut your recovery times and lessen the effects of DOMSGoes Well With:Beta Aaline and NAc
Ok the taste of this is disgusting. I'm known for drinking cod liver oil straight from the bottle and having no complaints. The problem is that it is slightly metallic tasting and extremely bitter, the best thing to do is to mix it with some water and orange squash, sugar free and shake it up in a bottle. Leave it for a minute or two and then shake again and consume. Presto! I can't taste the amino Acids anymore and it's great as a PW shake. Goes Well With:Orange squash -sugar free and water
Really effective - gets me through a workout. Goes Well With:Juice is probably best. Water can leave a funny taste
Well tastes like spew. Acid in the title acid in the taste. Does not mix with water that well leaves a powdery taste better with juices. Not been on it long so no gains to report. Scoop level have to be trusted unless you got a digital good scale.Goes Well With:A strong stomach and no taste buds
Just took my first dose of this. Hands down. The worst taking supplement I've ever ever had. I can only hope that the benefits from this are worth it but I'll let you guys know. Problem is, I have a whole kilo of this to get through at 15g servings. Wish me luck.Goes Well With:A strong stomach and no sense of taste. Or smell for that matter.
Good quality products on really affordable prices. The Impact Whey protein from Myprotein was checked in several independent laboratories, and all the tests have shown good results (it's a proper whey protein without adding any cheap stuff). As particularly about essential amino acids from Myprotein didn't check them in labs, but sure that they should also be of a good quality and the price is also really smart. Good stuff!
What can be betеer than BCA? Only the full essential amino acids pack. I recomend you to try it.Goes Well With:unlflaivorid
Using BCAAs for a while now but this edition beats it all. Could feel the effect right down at the beginning and it's an absolute must for any hard gainer. Smells like cat food (no kidding) bringing back the childhood memories with my lil buddy, tastes actually pretty OK. Mixing it with 50ml of water, goes down in a second right before I move onto the main shake - this way the taste isn't even noticeable. I wouldn't refuse a cherry blast flavouring though. Just another excellent product from myprotein. Well done guys.Goes Well With:water
The effects are great along with the fact that all of the amino acids are included in one powder, but as soon as I opened the bag the smell was disgusting. I can definitely taste it when mixed with my flavoured protein powder and it's not pleasant....think i'll have to go back to the BCAA's. Goes Well With:Flavoured protein powder in a shake
I switched from am sports aminos as(though very good) it's very expensive to this one hoping I would get the same product. Well i'm 'bitterly' disappointed. This stuff is like drinking screen wash. I'm not normally one to complain as I can chug it down if I think it's gona be effective but this one crosses the line.Goes Well With:If anyone finds out, Please tell me!
Definitely will be getting more i've noticed i'm alot more healthy these days , great supplement it keeps you in working order , i noticed i had a bit more energy after awhile and less soreness after work outs, also less fatigueGoes Well With:Milk, Water, or anything with some flavour
I haven't used it an awful lot yet, but I,was pleasantly surprised by the neutral taste and you do get plenty for a fair price. My PT recommended it and I do feel like it's helping, even now after just a week or so.
This is exactly what I've been looking for. Been using for a few weeks now and could see the effects already. Able to work out more and my recovery time has improved dramatically. Highly recommend it. Tast is awful but mixing it with Cranberry juice does the trick for me. Also put the powder after pouring the juice. Do NOT mix with water. trust me.
Just mix this with veggie juices/fruit juices... it clumps a bit so I add water after. I find my energy levels are much higher. Been using it for the last 6 months. I highly recommend it.
One of the worst tasting Amino Acids I've ever had, although most of the unflavoured ones are unpleasant. Mixed it with MY PROTEIN WHEY and totally wrecked the normally amazing taste. Not sure what to mix it with, maybe a very powerful juice? Mixes very easily and well unlike many others I've tried that keep floating to the top like flour. Need some more time to really determine the results but from the ingredients I expect great results! Goes Well With:A very flavourful drink to cover the horrible taste.
First tried powder in my protein shake... bad move don't try. So next to avoid the horrible upset in my stomach I did this, took a big swig of my drink keeping liquid in mouth then topping up scoop and emptying it in mouth then a quick mix in mouth and gulp it. No horrid taste no queezy stomach and all the benefits. Seems to be working my system a bit better though shoulders mostly when working out seem to get a build up of lactic acid a bit faster than normal now
5 Starts just mix 7.5g (1 1/2 5ml scoops) with pre and post workout flavoured protein shakes YOU CAN'T TASTE IT so its a plus plus situation. Your sfae in the knowledge your EAAs are all covered. WELL DONE MYPROTEIN.COM
This product is the most effective supplement I've EVER taken! This was also my very first purchase and I've been blown away with the results and how fast it works, without a doubt this is a supplement that every strength trainer or bodybuilder should have.Goes Well With:Water
Higher doses (above 5g pre + 5g post workout) give me slight headache, sam as glutamine. So I'm taking it in smaller doses til my body adjusts to it. So far it works. I'm getting a lot less muscle soreness after working out. Mixes perfectly with everything. Tastes like cacao but not so bitter. Really great when mixed with hemp protein. To my friend it tasates horrible so I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. Goes Well With:Hemp protein
Essential Amino Acids is a great supplement! ingredient profile is unbeatable really for what you pay, for me me it's a staple wouldn't train without it Goes Well With:intra workout, eaa, pepto pro, post maltrodrexrin eaa.
Most people complain about this due to it's taste. The problem is everyone seems to try and mix it with something sweet. What I do is make a kind of soup with it. I'm vegan and use pea protein and EAA, both of which don't taste great or mix well. I mix the protein and EAA with herbs, spices, vegetable gravy granules and yeast extract and pour in some boiling water. This makes a lovely spicy pea soup that tastes great and is jam packed with not only protein but lots of other healthy benefits from the herbs and spices. Goes Well With:Herbs, spices, pea protein, vegetable gravy and yeast extract
Essential Amino Acids are a very good post workout with whey. I've noticed a decrease in recovery time.Goes Well With:whey, creatine
The Essential Amino Acids tastes awful. It mixes well with boiling water when you leave it. I personally use boiling water with squash and mix and stir it profusely then leave it for 5 minutes, mix again and hey presto you can drink it. After my workout, I just throw it in my water bottle, run the hot water, shake it and drink it straight down. It will never taste good as it is really bitter, but I have got very used to it now. I have recommended this and Impact Diet Whey to all my mates as the results have been awesome!Goes Well With:Hot water and dilute squash
Essential Amino Acids are excellent value for money, I bought this product and within a week I noticed the benefits. I bought unflavored and mixed it with Myprotein's BCAA, LGlutamine, creatine and their whey protein. Taste wise it's better with juice or applied to a protein. I would recommend using a mixer as it sticks to a spoon and clumps. Myprotein gave me the shaker free with my order.Goes Well With:Creatine, BCAA'S, L-glutamine, juice and whey protein
Essential Amino Acids are very hard to take with just milk or water. The best way I found so far is mixing it in to a zero fat shape delight yogurt. It's still not nice but you can eat it.
Yes, Essential Amino Acids taste foul when just mixed with water. Yes, it takes a long time to dissolve (about 10 minutes). But taste can be offset with something else (I take a mouthful of orange juice after downing the aminos) and in the two weeks I've been taking this product, already I can feel that I've gained muscle and strength. I initially bought 250g to try, and just ordered another 500g.Goes Well With:Whey protein and creatine gluconate - all together it makes a turbo-boosted post-workout shake!
I mix this with my morning shake and also with my intra work out one. It mixes very well and whilst it does need the additon of flavouring once again is well worth the effort. I notice a fairly immediate increase in fullness whilst training and enjoy being safe in the knowlwedge that I'm well covered for all my aminos. I'll never prove it but my current contest prep would not be the same without this product and I've no doubt I am preserving prescious muscle whilst carbs are low. I'd recommend 8g twice a day with food. ThanksGoes Well With:Flav drops
Essential Amino Acids tastes awful no matter how hard you try and disguise it. Saying that, it's still an essential part of the diet.
Love the product, wish is a little bit cheaper to be able to buy a lot more. Goes Well With:Anything
I bought this Essential Amino Acids to go with my Pulse V4 pre workout and then with my hurricane XS recovery shake. It's a great product and I can feel the difference, the only down side is it doesn't taste very good and can be hard to mix if using with pre or post workout shakes. Goes Well With:Pulse v4 Hurricane xs
Love the Essential Amino Acids. I have noticed lean definition and increased strength. It doesn't taste very well on its own, but you don't really taste it if mixed with a whey protein shake or juice. I would highly recommend this product.
I mix my Essential Amino Acids my whey protein. It stays gritty and doesn't mix well, but it's better than just mixing with water as it just sits on the top. It tastes foul on its own also but with my protein shake I can't taste it! However the benefits outweigh the downsides, it's only a small amount and if you really can't stand it you could always put it in a capsule.Goes Well With:Whey protein (just)
Essential Amino Acids tastes disgusting and the mixability is also very poor. This product will only mix with hot water or in a blender! Besides the bad taste and poor mixability the EAA's are very effective, having used them for a week I can feel the benefit; my muscles ache much less and recovery time is shortened.Goes Well With:Nothing! I mix with total gainer in a blender and I find this works for me.
Essential Amino Acids are a quality product. They're ideal for post workout and upon waking.Goes Well With:bcaa, lglutamine
Essential Amino Acids are a quality product especially when combined with BCAA. I've been using it for years both off season and for contest prep.Goes Well With:BCAA L-Glutamine
These Essential Amino Acids help with energy and recovery, before/during/after training 5g scoop straight in the mouth and wash it down with water or juice, no problem!
I bought these Essential Amino Acids on recommendation of a friend. It has a bit of everything that I need in it so I don't have to pay out for several other amino acid products. I consume it in my shakes before and after a training session, I also mix it with an early cup of coffee. I have been using it for just over a month and I have noticed a difference in myself and my training, this is a fantastic product if you are on a budget. I will be buying more of this in the future, many thanks My Protein Team.Goes Well With:CLA and Impact Whet
This is my first time trying the powdered form of Essential Amino Acids, it didn't taste too bad and mixed well. The results are showing well, what a great price as well. I'm ordering more soon.
Overall, I would say Essential Amino Acids is a very good product, the taste isn't great but when mixed with other blends of protein it's not too bad. I made big gains and have increased my personal best, I believe that this contributed to it. Good product!
I took the Essential Amino Acids because they are vegan, and I believed it would be a better taste than pea protein, but I was wrong. To mix them you need to warm the water like you make a tea, there is not another way, with cold water just forget it, you will shake until the end of times with no result. As about the taste it is really horrible, it is just like waste with puke... The only way that i can drink them is putting the juice of half lemon and 3 tea spoons of sugar, and I hate sugar but there is no other way, that way it is drinkable... The results in the work out are very good, its worth the trouble. I can lift easier, with more aggression specially now that i am on a diet... Overall, they do the job but there is something to be done about the taste Goes Well With:Lemon juice and sugar
The Essential Amino Acids was very had to mix at first. The flavour is absolutely disgusting. Compared to the others I've had, this is by far the worst!Goes Well With:Nothing
I've tried a few amino acids now and these do the job fine. Try mixing it 30 minutes before with dextrose powder and it does dissolve better. The earlier you mix it the better it is I find! As for taste, it's not the best!Goes Well With:dextrose and impact whey
Yes, Essential Amino Acids taste horrible. When I first mixed it (well, tried and failed) into a glass of water, I was horrified. However, I now get a mug of hot water straight out of the kettle, leave it to cool for a minute or two, dissolve and stir in one scoop at a time, then add a fair bit of orange squash and a dash of sweetener. It dissolves well in the hot water and the squash masks the taste/smell pretty well. It still sends a shiver down my spine when downing it but it's perfectly drinkable. It goes well with: hot water and orange squash.
I bought this Essential Amino Acids anyway even after reading about the bad taste and mixability. I can honestly say that it is the worst tasting thing (well not the taste but the bitterness) I have had in a long time and it doesn't mix at all. First time use was in a protein shake and it destroyed the shake completely, it came back up and quick as it went down. I decided to try it with some orange juice (not squash) as that is quite bitter anyway and thought that might mask the horrible bitterness of this, and I have to say it did wonders. I didn't get any nasty taste whatsoever (was just like drinking the orange juice all on its own) however the mixability was still rubbish. I only use a tiny amount of orange juice and then a little bit more to swill the glass out and it all goes down like a treat. So for those who have problems with the taste just put it in orange juice and there will be no problems trust me! Plus now that I can drink it, it works pretty well, and I've noticed better gains and a slightly faster recovery time. I would give this 5 stars if only it didn't ruin the taste of a shake and the hassle of it not mixing so well. I can't complain, it's not supposed to taste like something you find in a fine restaurant, just get it down and it does the job!
