I rate this protein highly for the simple fact that there is only 2 ingredients (wpc & wpi) taste is great too, what i like most is that there is no fancy formula or fancy packaging giving miss leading information like "GAIN 10LB OF LEAN MUSCLE IN 2 WEEK" Lol great product, the perfect protein in my opinion, highly recommended

I seem to compare every protein shake to BSN syntha - 6, because that's the tastiest one I've ever tried. I bought the strawberry flavour of this impact blend, and there's very little difference between this and the syntha - 6! I have to say the syntha is ever so slightly tastier, but if you take the price into account, theres really no comparison, the impact blend is £10 cheaper! - highly reccomended.

Whey has the highest biological value of any protein supplement, but it IS quickly absorbed. If you need continuous protein throughout the day for weights training, if you're not eating the right diet already then this isn't what you should buy for gains. I'm a runner, training for a half marathon - for recovery, it has been really good. Low calories too. I have been going on runs every day for the past week since I got this and combined with a good (starchy, carb rich) diet, it's great. I tried it with porridge oats, milk, honey and chopped banana... and it was disgusting. The sweeteners didn't go well with it, but mixed with water (just under 400ml for 2x25g scoops, just pour about 3/4 of your 500ml bottle of water into the dry mix and shake) it was quite nice. I got choc smooth, always a safe option. I'll probably get the 'total' (whey, egg white and milk proteins) mix next for when I start weight training, although if you're worried about recovery like I am at the moment, this is a great one to get. Good product, worth mentioning that it comes with a large scoop btw, you don't have to buy one separately like I did.

Only just started using this product. Have previously been using Hurricane XS. I have been using this for a while now and when mixed with Instant Oats gives you the extra energy needed while training. Will be buying again. Big recomendation :-D

Best protein shake on this site IMO. Reasons being; Lowest cost for the amount of servings you get and the large amount of protein per serving. Tastes great just like a milkshake (although only tried chocolate). On its not going to add mass..... but with a good diet, and a good training routine, a high protein, great tasting shake is a must!

My first order from MP , normally use a competitor but as the price of that product has rocketed tried this as a subtitute : ordered banana flavour-extremely weak flavour tastes very cheese like lol maybe bad luck picking that 1 !! Not sure on effectiveness yet as havnt used it long enough but first impressions are avoid banana!

I first order Total Milk and Whey Protein, which I strongly recommend because of its great taste and effectiveness. However, I changed to Impact Blend due to a recommendation and I do not regret at all. It mixes both whey isolate and concentrate, which gives the benefits of both. Chocolate taste is really good, either with water or milk and it's very easy to mix. My friend had unflavoured Hurricane XS (horrible), so we mix them both in 60/40-66/33 having a surprising mixture. I would especially recommend to those which struggle with protein and don't like them too much, since it's easy to drink and small quantities are enough.

im a female who works outdoors 4-5 times a week mostly cycling, and running with a bit of HIIT thrown in on the treadmill, i had been taking maxitone sculptress and definity shakes but because of the cost switched to maximuscle promax diet which worked out slightly cheaper but still costs alot as i would like to take it twice a day, everyday. so i done a bit of research and come across this site and was impressed with the reviews and the fact you get 4 times the quantity compare to maximuscle, but have to say i was a bit dubious about whether the taste would be as good as the reviews and as i really wouldn't have the best stomach this was definitely the most important factor even over the cost. well i have to say the product does live up to the reviews and i would rate this in taste alot more superior to any of the maximuscle/tone products that i have bought and with the Ingredients being quite similar give or take a gram or two i feel you just can't lose buying this product. The flavour i chose was strawberry cream and it mixes with water really well in a shaker bottle and what impressed me the most is the thick creamyness of it not unlike a strawberry milk shake. I haven't tried mixing it with milk as i don't want the extra calories but water works just fine with me, i will defo be ordering product of this site again in the near future

Arrived today, along with the fancy shaker with the mesh ball. Maxes perfectly, tastes really smooth. I had previously been using Hurricane XS, which tasted just fine but was a bit heavy/stodgy. This, on the other hand, is really light and easy to drink whilst still being filling, high protein and BCAA count, great meal replacement or post-workout shake. I mix 200ml skimmed milk, 200ml water, 2 scoops of this product, and it tastes great. Can't comment on results, but it's basically fancy whey protein, so I assume it will do the job nicely. Mixing creatine monohydrate will give you better results and a better taste than Hurricane XS and for only a little more money!

I add two scoops of banana impact whey into a shaker with 2 scoops of instant oats. it mixes very well with no lumps and a great flavour (not sickly sweet like alot of products from other well known brands I have tried). This product has a good amount of protein per serving and by adding instant oats (which taste great and mix well, only adding a slightly sandy texture) can be used to make a shake high in both protein and carbs for decent gains!

an excellent tasting protein, does result in a little gas sometimes, but this is no major issue, a note for anyone experiencing digestive problems with this product, try increasing your fibre intake, the gains i have made since using this product are far more than i have made without. Can't praise it enough as an extremely cheap and effective protein.

What a bargain, have a 10lb tub that I have been filling up with Impact Whey but thought I would give the blend a go and wow, pouring the protein into the tub the smell was fantastic (chocolate smooth). This protein is pretty good, only been using it for a few weeks tho so unsure of how effective it really is. I went for Vanilla based on a review (which I usually avoid due to a previous product I used - not MP.) and the taste is good (well done MP you've restored my faith in Vanilla). Mixes well with milk you barely need to shake it although I use the MP Max Shaker which, BTW is a superb product. The only draw back about this protein is that I feel bloated (hence the 3 Overall score) which I've never experienced with the standard Impact Concentrate. Will try the Total Protein next time.

Best value for money, and the grms of protien you get for such (each) small serving is amazing!!! Chocolate and strawberry is always the best for taste! they are the safe bets of buying first time and throughout your training routine. however, i wouldnt recommend always getting the same flavour each month, i buy chocolate, then strawberry next month. Because by end of the first month, ive had so much chocolate it makes me feel sick to go on for another month on 4 shakes a day of chocolate!. But, that it also standard practice for everything. In short, This is the BEST protien buy for the price!! nothing even comes close!... Trust me, ive checked, buyed, used and evaluated most of the protien powders on the market for the best value!... and its here!! Impact Blend!

Milk, like most protien powders, milk will make it taste far better, however, you will end up having to add 150ml of milk and 150 of water (or extra milk) to thin it out, as it wont mix and go lumpy in your hand shaker - But this is standard practice and happens with EVERY protien powder.

Gud Quality Product. Price is spot on. No protein is a miracle but is essential to growth. 5lbs of any protein for 22quid is amazing but with this you also get the benefit of protein isolate which is generally quite expensive. I have been ordering this for me and a group of lads in the gym for about 6 months now all different flavours. They all agree it mixes perfect tastes lovely no throthy bits goes down a treat no bloat or gas. Some lads use this in conjuction with a weight gain diet some use it for a cutting diet. This will help you add mass if your training and diet is thorough.

superb protein powder at superb price, i have used all of the top makes at 3 times the price and none taste better then the protein from MP, i have tried strawberry, bannana & have the choc smooth now and love all of them, BCAA does its best to spoil the flavour but it still is well tasty in my book why pay silly money for 1kg when you can get the same results, taste & service from MP??????

Cheap as chips, quality protein and the strawberry flavour is nice but do NOT buy the choc smooth flavour, absolutely vile so bland it's unreal, tastes like drinking liquid cardboard. I have to put a scoop of dextrose in to sweeten it up but it's still vomit inducing.

Really impressed with this product. Great tasting and mixes well with anything (water, milk, juice) and I dont need to use a blender which is good for work. Great product for the price and good results. Train about 4-5 times per week with mixture of weights and cardio. Started taking the impact blend about 2 months ago along with multi vits and CLA. Was 15 stone 12 and now im down to 14 stone 12. Eating my carbs in the morning and keeping high protein intake throughout day. Seen very good results- with loss of fat and gained size and definition. I'm regular at the gym, 4 sessions a week, i don't use this stuff as recommended, but the product, unbeatable, great source of protein, tastes no different than any of the higher market products and a brilliant price. second to none, ive tried plenty of protien products, from this site all the way to the really expensive stuff, they all get too technical, to build lean mass, you need protien, and here it is, as good as it gets. Im ordering my second bag now.

i'm assuming that i consumed too much rather than my pouch was not given the correct amount of protein because it only lasted just over 2 weeks. Overall, i would say i'm impressed with it, the flavour is actually very nice in my opinion, though taste is subjective. i don't have the best of diets, hence why i bought extra protein, and my training isn't exactly as good as it could be so i would say results are great. i have seen some increase in size, i feel stronger and i can lift more. it's too late to say "i'll definitely order some more right away" because i already ordered some. this time i'll be sure to not use too much!

Ordered this on Thursday and came on Monday, so quite quick delivery for £2.50, couldn't resist tearing it open and trying some, the smell hit me, like hot chocolate and it mixed great, the taste was OK, better than I thought it would be. Used to have that crappy Holland and Barrett sh**, that was terrible compared to this stuff. Whey is whey, so if you are thinking about getting some, don't resist, GET SOME!!!

received mine yesterday with excellent delivery as many people say (DPD) and i immediately tore open the pouch to try some. smells like Cadbury Dairy Milk! Honestly the chocolate flavour does, though the taste is not quite as good. it does taste decent however, certainly is drinkable. by far better than the Holland & Barratt cheap stuff. but hey, we're after results not taste. after my workout yesterday i could feel it getting to work but it's too early to comment on results as of now. will write back in a month or so.

As the title says chaps I have never reviewed a product before and I'm that impressed with impact blend I feel I owe it to MyProtein to write a quick one, I've had many many many different types of protein shake and this is far by the best mixing/tasting of the lot especially with milk, like most, however I don't like to take mine with milk I prefer water and it tastes very very nice! no bloated feeling afterwards which can be with alot of other brands, remember!! mix with 250ml water per 25g and your onto a winner!! STRAWBERRY!!

I'm now on my second pouch of Impact Blend Ive used various other brands and have not seen any real progress (that is what it is all about) or gains. Since Feb 09 I have trimmed down the fat and gained size - and this product has been at the forefront of that progress. Great for those wishing to stay trim, add lean mass and aid recovery. Add a bit of HMB and your laughing. Excellent product, taste is good, top price and delivery. You CANNOT go wrong.

The impact on my running performance was almost immediate I saw a sustained increase in stamina the first jog.\n\nSimilarly, my endurance in the gym (cross training, bench pressing, body weights etc) has improved no end.\n\nI'm now gaining weight as a result of increased lean mass.\n\nIf I have one complaint, it's the zip seal on the bag the blend comes in! Which is a little hit and miss.

Hello orderd myprotein impact blend choc smooth yesterday morning. Then today it arrived next day that was quick.\n\nAnyway taste wise Im very happy with it choc smooth is very nice and easy to drink. I use milk so its a great choc smooth milkshake. It tastes very simular to phd synergy but synergy is abit stronger choc being double choc cookie and full of everything else it was good to but myprotein one better.\n\nBut now I like myprotein impact blend choc smooth its alot nicer and abit lighter on the choc then the phd synergy one.\n\nI was using impact whey unflavoured by myprotein but now I dont have to get the flavours and mess about separate now with using impact blend flavours.

Anther thing to mension here to saves buying the flavoures all the time now and having to store more of those everywere in tubs etc. Anther thing there less calories, fat, sugars etc in the impact blend flavoured whey then adding nesquik or tesco etc flavoured milkshake powders to a whey. So this is anther good reason for the change now to for me personally.

Absolutely brilliant. I have been buying whey from MyPro for a year now and had instant milk and impact whey. Impact mixes better than Instant Milk but both mix very well. Both taste good, there's no weird concerning after taste, they're perfectly sweetened and make huge differences to my recovery time. \n\nStrongly Recomend these products and its all at incredibly good value. :)

This is my first bag of MP Impact Blend, having used other products and I have to say this is the worst tasting one of the lot. I don't know if I've got a dodgy batch or something cos everyone else is raving about how good it tastes. I've got the Vanilla, I have to really force myself to drink it! Having said that, it's mixes without fuss much better than any MM protein and at just over 20 quid for a 5lb bag, it can't get any cheaper. I might have to look at the MP Max stuff next time as I won't buying anymore of this... oh postage was nice and quick though!

this really is only the chcolate flavour that ive had a problem with. im kicking myself because its not the first time ive had problems with chocolate flavours and numerous brands i have found repulsive. naturally chocolate is very bitter and the only reason why when we eat is it is sweet, is because of the sugar added. now what i believe is that due to no sugar being added to this it leaves a very bitter taste. You would expect the sweetener added, sucralose, to cancel this out. However sweeteners are known to be as bitter as they are sweet. I really should of gone for the strawberry or raspberry

I have had the chocolate flavour and the smell is just like chocolate, only had one serving so far and when mixed with water it tastes OK, meaning you can taste the water side to it, I imagine it will be nicer with milk. I bought this product back in oct 2008 and i have gained 3-4kg of lean tissue as measure by sport science labs as i study a degree in this subject area and have access to this to facilities to accurately measure this body fat - lean tissue ratio. it worked for me. why not try it nd see if work wonders for you to. 1 scoop before work out nd 1 scoop after on training days. non training days, 1 scoop upon waking, 1 scoop before bed. no nonsense, does exactly wot it says on the tin. thanks myprotein

I've just finished my first bag.\n\nWhat can I say......\n\nI'm used to buying branded products so was a bit sceptical at first with this one. It seemed too cheap.\n\nFirstly the portion seemed too small, 70cc scoop with 150ml of water so I doulbled the dose I took 2 scoops with 300ml.\nSo my drink had just under 75 grams of protein.\n\nI did this every 3 hours just before meals, starting at 9/12/3/6 and then finally 9 at night.\n\nI never got the sh**s, I only get that with milk as I'm lactose intolerant so watch out for that any stomach upsets etc then stay away from milk.\n\nThe taste isn't all that bad even though I mix it with water (strawberry).\n\nI've got great results from this and people have noticed.\n\nFeed your body for half the price.......\n\nHighly Recommended

On to my 4th lot now - trying all the different flavours I think I will like, Started with Strawberry which tasted awesome, then Banana, which was ok, then choc mint, again awesome, now just onto my raspberry which is also excellent. Got myself a decent shaker too (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED), banana was hard to dissolve, choc mint was fairly viscous, strawberry and raspberry are thin and dissolve very easily. All in water, not too good with milk IMO. Still think Strawberry is my fav up to now thouugh but they are all very good.

What can I say, this was my first purchase from MP and Im very impressed. Ive been taking one shake in few hours BWO and one PWO, I havnt had a huge gain, Ive put on about 3-4lbs of lean mass and managed to drop a few pounds worth of fat as well which Ive been struggling to loose whilst taking a different brand. I ordered the choc and it was delicious I coud drink it all day, although with water it made me gag needs to be with milk. Also you dont need to use a blender you just need to use one of the shakers for about 15 seconds and it mixes perfectly. Ive been having two shakes a day more or less everyday and Ive still got about two weeks left so its lasts quite a while, and for 21.99 you cant do much better than that!!

Banana flavour arrived the other day and I love it! I was hesitant to order as I'm not overly keen on banana / vanilla flavouring but the reviews here swayed me. Was sent some samplings of the other flavours (thanks myprotein!) except vanilla which I'm not fussed about anyway. My rating is for the banana flavour and here's what I thought of the rest...\r\n\r\nstrawberry - 3.5 stars - not too bad but just didn't hit the mark for me.. could've been the aftertaste left by the CEE I had just before though\r\n\r\nraspberry - 4 stars - tastes nice and sweet.. I think it could be sickly after a while but will order some sometime for a bit of a change\r\n\r\nchocolate (mint) - 6 stars (even though there's only 5!) - now this is damn nice.. the nicest choc mint shake I've had yet.. reminds me of mint aero MMMmmm Will definitely be ordering this one next\r\n\r\nvanilla - haven't tried yet as stated above\r\n\r\nThese are just my opinions but I'm glad to say there aren't any that I wouldn't have. This is very nice stuff. It mixes extremely well in water, no problem at all.\r\n\r\nDelicious. Not like protein, more like a treat. Warning, though, it's very sweet already, so you don't need to add anything to it. If you are using a couple of scoops to 3/400ml water, it's pretty much identical to any chocolate milkshake. More water or less powder, and it's a bit less milky, but still top notch.\r\n\r\nDo this:\r\n\r\nAdd a teaspoon of coffee granules to it before mixing. Drink cold. Really shouldn't work, really does! Lovely, like the Kenco Cappio thin iced coffee cans you see in petrol stations.

this protein has all the things you need. tastes great and is very friendly on the pocket. mix with milk to make a great tasting shake. add some fine oats and you got a great post work out shake.

This whey tastes great, mixes easily, has a good protein content and comes in a convenient sealed plastic sack that's different from the usual ones used by myprotein.co.uk (just snip off the corner and pour into any old empty 5 pound tub - it's that easy!). . . . . Oh, and you'll save youself a minimum of a fiver on buying your normal 5 pounder - how can you argue with that?!
