    Overview

    Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (AAKG) is a popular ingredient in many cell volumisers. The Alpha-Ketoglutarate compound helps improve the delivery of l-arginine and is one of the most important nitrogen oxide (NO) transporters in metabolic pathways.

    AAKG contains both Arginine and Alpha-Ketoglutarate. Arginine is a conditionally essential amino acid that has a number of vital roles in human biochemistry and has an important role in protein synthesis.

    Alpha-Ketoglutarate is another important biological compound, used by the body to help with the creation of usable energy from carbohydrates, fats and protein. It combines with ammonia to create glutamic acid, a precursor of glutamine.

    NO is a very powerful vasodilator that increases the intensity and duration of the "pump" which is gained when working out (usually after heavy weights). Most AAKG users experience a visible increase in vascularity and pump. Our AAKG is produced at a ratio of 2:1 (Arginine: Alpha-Ketoglutarate).

    Suggested Use

    As a dietary supplement we recommend consuming 1-2g, twice daily daily. For optimal results take in the morning and 45 minutes before your workout.

    Add 2 and a half MP mini scoops (1g) to your preferred amount of water or fruit juice and consume immediately.

      Hi everyone. Ive been using impact whey + L-leucine for couple of months now and recently got Arginine and creatine Mono. With all the info out there many people say different doses. im confused can someone help. i train mornings around 9am so have breakfast at 7am. arginine states take 1st serving in the morning and then 45mins before training. and creatine mono just states twice daily. so should these be taken with no food or ok with breakfast. when would i need the 2nd dose of arginine if i take pre training. it may be me over thinking it but i know supplements to get optimal results is all about timing. dont want to waste all my hard work and money. Hope to hear asap

      I dont know if its the AAKG or a placebo effect, but taking this 30-45 mins before my workout enables me do carry out 2 more reps with ease, and lift 2-3kg more... will write another review when I have finished the bag!

      use with listed products plus oj and sugar for pre-workout shake becaus ei got fed up with s**t products on the market. i found the taste really bitter, but drinkable. u just gotta neck it. good pumps, nothing outrageous but i think its worth it since it gives u a btr workout. culd do with caps tho!

      I'd been using this for quite a while and then stopped for a bit - I hadnt realised quite what affect it has!\nWhen it says 'increases blood flow/vascularity/pumps' - it actually does - to EVERYWHERE, if you get my drift !! \n\nSo in short guys - you should see a difference in the gym and the boudoir!!\n

      this product works day 2 from when you start using it. Its a perfect product that does give you a gd pump after a nice workout. But id advise you not to take it before a Cardiovascular exercise, especially running you wont be able to move your legs afterwards. Take it after. \nOther than that, it great :) ordered my second pouch yesterday just waiting for it to arrive :)

      I find that it gives me a good pump not only in the gym but through the day too. I do take an extra dosage at night, 30 mins before my shake before bed. I find it gives me that lil more of an edge.. Thanks MP i find this a great supplement to get a all round greater pump. \n\nJames.

      this stuff seems OK! I didn't get mental pumps like I was expecting, I managed to work out as hard as I usually do But the pump I got was better & lasted longer! SO to sum up: it wont make you get a pump just from doing a 5kg bicep curl but the pump you get from your normal workout will be better!! (THIS IS FROM A SCEPTIC TOO) I'm pretty sure it is not just placebo effect.

      It works for pumps and enery but you could possibly benefit ffom cycling it - dont over-do the dosage - i couldnt bi-curl as it was too painful and had to separate tri and bi workouts

      Ive been taking this for couple of days now, tried upto 5 grams in the morning, which is 45 mins before my workout. first day i didnt notice any difference, 2nd day i noticed that i got pumped slightly quicker than normal. Is this just how my body reacts to it, or im i doing something wrong?

      Hi, I've been using AAKG for three weeks now in addition to usual products (which among other goodies, includes B-Alanine and creatine) and have found that it does have energy boosting properties, so I'm going to buy more. Forget the "pump" effect - that's secondary. The primary benefit is the slight increase in energy that it seems to give me. Best of all, it's cheap and doesn't appear to have any nasty side effects (doesn't taste great though!). I haven't tried MP's pump product yet but I'm happy with AAKG for the time being.

      Have been using this supplement, 4g pre workout, for the past three months and am convinced it makes a positive contribution to training performance. It gives definite increase in the level of pump, although not so much so as to make things uncomfortable.\n\nHad kind of gotten used to it's effects and then had two consecutive workouts without it and really noticed a decrease in performance. An excellent product.

      Took this for the first time today, trained chest, bi's, tri's . Noticed a good pump in chest, arms looked insane, would recomend this product. I've given it 4 stars cos i don't know if its neccassarily going to give me more size as the pump go's away after 45-55 mins although i understand its good taken with cee as it opens up blood vessels and allows the cee to travel easier, or something like that.

      If you seriously push yourselves in your workout with the addition of arginine you experience vein bursting pumps,the only downside with this supplement i think is the price,in comparison with every other supplement it seems to be pretty expensive but hey who can complain with such a wide range of supplements and an excellent team running the site

      Hey Dylan, I do the same with alot of my supps (creatine ester, green tea extract, taurine etc) by adding a little bit of boiling water, but only to heat it up slightly. Dont add to much, just enough for it to dissolve...if its too hot you cant drink it either\r\n\r\nJust got my AAKG, I will report back in a week. I plan to take 3g pre-workout\r\n\r\nMark

      jeepers, pump was untrue on biceps and tris. mixed with L-Leucine. 3g of each pre training in cold water. particle suspension, so a bit gritty. adding to boiling water totally dizzolves the powder, but does boiling water damage the powder?

      I use this on training days and take 1 heaped teaspoon an hour before training on an empty stomach.\r\n\r\nI get a really good pump, but sometimes on arms day I can only do a couple of sets as my Biceps & Triceps fill up with too much blood, so in future I'm cutting down the dosage to a flat teaspoon
