Spirulina is a form of algae that grows naturally in tropical and subtropical lakes and is recognised as a whole food source with powerful nutritional properties. It is believed Spirulina was widely used by North Africans and Mexicans many years ago; however it is only in the last 40 years that its popularity has grown as a food supplement.
Spirulina is a rich source of proteins, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. This variety of nutrients makes Spirulina a powerful immune boosting food that can help the body fight viruses and infections. Within this super food you will find high volumes of B vitamins, iron, essential trace minerals, beta carotene and gamma-linolenic acid. Spirulina also contains chlorophyll which has been shown to increase the oxygen carrying capabilities of the blood.
As a concentrated source of protein, the abundance of essential amino acids may help your growth and recovery after exercise. It is also recognised that the protein content is extremely bio-available compared to the poor uptake of protein from other food sources.
As a food supplement Spirulina can help improve energy, nutrient balance and weight control whilst providing powerful detoxifying properties. It has also been suggested that Spirulina can help treat allergies by increasing the body's anti-inflammatory response and reducing the release of histamine.
Add 150-250ml of water, juice or any other beverage into our shaker. Then add 1 and a half MP small scoops (5g), shake and consume. Consume one to three servings per day.
Spirulina Powder should be gradually introduced to the diet so the body can get used to any detoxification reaction.

I can't understand the comments on mixability, if you pop a couple of scoops of Spirulina into a shaker it mixes very well. The taste isn't great so I bought the vanilla flavdrops and they cover it brilliantly.Goes Well With:Vanilla Flavdrops

"Its possibly the hardest thing to mix and drink Ive tried, I wouldnt say it tastes bad just odd. I tried making a 'pate' of it by mixing 1ts with 1sp mayonnaise and a few drops of lemon, then spreading it on a cracker, that seemed ok."

"Very difficult to get to mix well as it sticks to the side of shaker and a pain to clean. I’ve been putting a few scoops in a wine glass, add small amount of water and mixed with a spoon then down it! It’s very lumpy doing it like this but leaves less waste. I don't mind the taste to be honest, it’s just a bit different and takes getting used to, quite like it now. Have mixed it into smoothies and mixed with various pasta dishes which seems to work. Great product!"

"Great stuff, sorted out my digestion issues and gives me a great protein boost in the morning. I mix with it orange or apple juice and it tastes great, although it still look very unappetising..."

Looks (and tastes like) green powder paint. Tried it with water and juice TNA yuck! But however if you put in your shake with milk it takes of the tang and transforms it into the cone of an ice cream. No joke mixed together its like an ice cream with the wafer cone. Yummy ;-)
