What are Protein Meals?

This protein meal is a delicious and wholesome chicken and vegetable pasta dish containing diced lean chicken and white pasta shells in a creamy tomato sauce with onions, bell pepper and cheddar cheese, all seasoned with herbs, garlic and black pepper.

Who are Protein Meals Suitable for?
These nutritionally balanced meals have been designed specifically for those who lead an energetic lifestyle and enjoy great tasting food, high in nutrients which require little fuss or preparation. Ready to eat in just 8 minutes, they are ideal for use straight after exercise or as an easy to prepare meal.
Open the pack at the tear notch. Remove and discard the oxygen absorber sachet from the pouch. Carefully add 320ml of boiling water to the pouch. Stir thoroughly and close the re-sealable zipper. Allow to stand for 8-9 minutes. Stir and add seasoning as required and serve from the pouch. Warning: pouch will be hot when boiling water is added.

As it says on the label, 304 ml boiling water, seal & wait 8 minutes. I leave it for 7 so the pasta has a bit of a bite.
A sprinkle of salt, pepper & a dash of Nandos Garlic sauce did it for me. This has a slight kick & it tastes good without the Nando sauce too. Salt & Pepper is a must.

I have tried most of the flavours of this range and I find this the best. It is a little on the spicy side though (there are chili bits in it) so for those who cannot take spicy foods, beware.

I had never tried a protein meal before and I decided to try this, I saved it for a might when I didn't have time to cook something . I have to say that it was much tastier than I imagined it would be! It was very simple to prepare and also filling! I also purchased some toffee fudge protein muffins and they are mmmm mmmmmm! I was really excited to try this after my gym session as I told my parents not to cook me dinner. But it was horrible, it was like mush in a bag, the bits of pasta in the meal were mushy and some bits were still hard, my brother (whos in the army) actualy said its like the food he got given in afghanistan, not impressed at all.. Well what can I say? I thought I would try the Protein Meals as I work shifts and sometimes it's a nightmare trying to eat well on the go. It does what it says on the package, just add water and leave for 9-10 mins and enjoy the flavour. It was well balanced with herbs and was filling enough. I have had a few meals of this type before and some are not great tasting at all but this is hands down the best tasting I have had.

Great tasting meal, first one I tried after buying the 4 different meals available.. Convent when you have no time
To prepare a high protein high carb meal. Ready in under 10mins and all you have to do is boil a kettle and wait! Definitely recommend them for anyone who struggles on the odd day to prepare there daily nutrition targets! Will be buying again for sure. It was so easy to prepare, and when you know how much protein you're getting you don't have to concentrate so much. It's always a hassle making sure you're getting the right amount of protein in daily, but this is a really solution. I have a pretty busy lifestyle so it was great not having to prepare my food in advance, 10 minutes and I'm laughing!
The food tastes great and doesn't taste at all like one of those terrible microwave meals from a supermarket.
In terms of effectiveness you can't really tell any difference, it's not magic food, but once you've eaten it you know you've had a good meal and that's what counts. The taste was good. As good as any supermarket "pot meal" if not better. There was a decent amount of meat in here and it was pleasantly tasty....much better tasting than looking for sure (but this will be down to too much water). "Really good meal with a perfect amount of protein and carbs, the portion is spot on aswell. So easy to prepare, i found it needs a little bit more boiling water than it says and make sure it gets to the bottom by giving it a shake. Definately recommend!"
