This stuff definitely works when used to clear up my blocked sinuses (made worse by living with a smoker!!). I tried it because I read about its use in hospitals to clear uo blocked lungs and mucus generally, and it might protect against the effects of smoke. So I thought it might work on my nasal passages too. I get an unblocked nose and my sense of smell and taste back again. So basically it works for me for that particular problem. Takes a couple of days. I don't like taking anything all the time so I have breaks - and then take it when needed. It can deplete zinc and copper so taking a multivitamin makes sense.Goes Well With:B2, Vitamin C
I use this product for it's liver detox benefits. Great product, bad taste, but who cares?
Good quality product at a good price, quickly delivered and I recommend this company as I have always had good products from them and received orders asap. It tastes horrible as it should - I put it in capsules and enjoy the benefits of this excellent supplement without having to taste it - smells like bad eggs. I find that NAC is very good for my lung problems, clears up too much thick mucus and seems to protect me from colds, flu and lung infections. Also good to take if you have to take paracetamol as it protects the liver from damage.
They give you this in hospital, before heart surgery to protect you from the damaging effects of the heart-lung machine. If it can do that it must be good! (I write from experience with that too!)Goes Well With:Open heart surgery! ;)
Excellent service as I received in two days, Excellent communication as I received two e-mail up-dates and a tracking number Excellent product as it only has NAC and nothing else Measuring spoon is very handy It does not taste good but it is not suppose too. As I didn't want anything other than NAC it does not matter to me others can mix it with orange juice Goes Well With:Whey isolet
over all good but doesnt taste good tastes like acid doesnt mix well and need to wait about 5-10min for it to soak in to the water. But it does the job i feel abit better and faster recovery
This is something that will do you good, best to read up on the benefits as there are many. I'll use it with effervescent vitamin c to help with the taste as it is very sharp on the tongue.Goes Well With:Vit c
There is some disagreement over the liver damage/protection properties of NAC in the reviews here. NAC is the preferred treatment for paracetamol overdose and will protect your liver, except from when you have consumed alcohol and is still intoxicated. The research I have come across concludes that NAC will contribute to liver damage when you are in the state mentioned. But a great product by any means.
I used to wake up sore and tired every morning. Now I take a teaspoon of N Acetyl L Cysteine stuff at night and I wake up feeling fresh (not sore or tired anymore). This stuff is amazing.Goes Well With:Water
I like this N Acetyl L Cysteine very much, but the taste is so poor I can hardly drink it. Goes Well With:Orange juice
This N Acetyl L Cysteine is very good for the recovery. It works!
N Acetyl L Cysteine is very good quality, with excellent mixability. I already ordered 7 bags of 100g and I will order more soon.
Product arrive quickly the taste I am not sure of as I mix it in with my protein shake, but I mixes well and blends in well with what product you mix it with.
It's hard to say if N Acetyl L Cysteine has been effective as it is purely used as an antioxidant. Be prepared for a very acidic taste, I use it with dispersible Vitamin C tablets for extra effect and improved taste.
Sorry Terence Hughes! I meant Stephen Stannard RE: strange reference to liver damage as opposed to treating damaged livers.
I'm only writing this to call out Terence Hughes who wrote something in his review about NAC "being known to" cause liver dysfunction according to medical papers he has read. From what I have seen, one of NACs key medical uses is TREATING liver failure. Always check these things for yourself with your doc.
"i use this cause I have bipoer disorder, i find that its amazing, the price is amazing, i have found my condition has improved, and will always continue to buy from you i have 1 teapoon a day ,and have found that the effects were the same as in the research papers i have been reading on this supplement and bipolar, thank you for stocking this as cheep as you do, "
"I agree with all the reviews here, and find it excellent value for money and effectiveness. However, again after having read many medical papers, I supplement this with Silymarin (Milk Thistle) at a rate of 1ml liquid form in a little water 3 times a day, since NAC is known to cause Liver dysfunction in some people and Silymarin guards against that."
"Forget about vitamin c, NAC is THE most important antioxidant you can supplement with. It is used routinely in hospitals to treat liver poisoning because it is so good at detoxifying the liver, which is great if you have had a heavy night on the booze, or you are using oral AAS / PH's. It also is a potent brain antioxidant, and been shown to neutralise the neurotoxin salsolinol found in stuff like chocolate which has been linked to Alzheimers. It tastes fine and mixes easily."
"An excellent product, NAC supplementation increases glutathione, an important antioxidant and has benefits for the immune system.\n\nComes as a pungent smelling heavy crystalline powder, you won't notice much physically when supplementing with NAC, but can rest assured that it is working to keep you healthy in the background."
