Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) come from a specific class of fatty acids that are dealt with by your body much like carbohydrates.
Most fats are broken down in the intestine and reformed so that they can be transported in the blood. But MCTs are absorbed intact and taken to the liver, where they are used directly for energy.
MCTs contain around 8 calories per gram, twice that of carbohydrates. We recommend 10g per day taken with water or other supplements.
Add 150-250ml of water or milk into our shaker (the less liquid the thicker the shake will be). Then add 10g, shake and consume. Use 2-3 times daily.

This is indeed very nice stuff. But check the nutrition information and ingredients - it says 100% MCT and nothing else, but 10g of the product only contains 7g of MCT. So what is the missing 30% by weight? I've been waiting for an answer to this question from My Protein, and I'm still waiting. I suspect there is more to it because how can a pure fat be transformed into a powder without the use of additives/emulsifiers etc? I suspect the information is not complete. Elswehere I have seen the ingredients of MCT powder stated as Medium Chain Triglycerides, Sodium Caseinate, Glucose Syrup. It certainly would be nice to know if that is what this actually is!
I just realised that I'm almost running out of this stuff, as I have been using it so much. Need to get a bigger pouch next time. I mix it in coffee and it makes it taste just like coffee with cream (except you don't feel bloated afterwards from the cream). You do have to use a fair amount though (then again my coffee mugs are quite big). At first I had problems with the mixing, but then realised that I need to mix it like any other powder in cooking: first add the powder in the cup, then pour the water (or coffee) in fairly slowly whilst constantly stirring. By the time I've poured the whole cup, there are only couple of small bits floating on top, which dissolve soon after. If you just dump it into a liquid, it'll take forever to dissolve. I'm not sure about the effectiveness, as I've been on a particular diet, so a lot has changed anyway. I've had a cup of coffee with MCT after a meal if I've felt it was lacking too much in fats. Still, I'll be buying this again for the taste!Goes Well With:Coffee
The effect of this MCT Powder is more than noticeable. I noticed improved focus and most surprisingly and increase on cognitive ability. It's also great for getting the going on those days working about doesn't have it's appeal. I have heard MCT and intermittent fasting go hand in hand however I'm still bulking so I cant add comment to that yet. All in all a great product! Will be buying again!
Bought this as part of a low-carb diet and weight-training programme I have been following and developing. I add the recommended dose to my coffee (three times a day) and not only find this aids energy levels, cognitive function and work-out stamina but tastes wonderful. Can be added to coffee before or after and it mixes fine - occasionally the last few bits float but its never been a problem. Some people have had problems with it is cold drinks (shakes etc.,) so perhaps sticking to hot drinks is the key. For non-low-carbers I hear it makes your porridge creamy, also. MCT is a manufactured oil which contains the same capra fatty acids (C6-C12) as in Coconut Oil. Coconut Oil is the richest natural source of C12, lauric acid. Unless they actually state the quantities, there is no proof that MCT is better than Coconut Oil and C6, C8 & C10 can be found in other food sources such as goat's milk. If you really want to improve focus then go and buy a Nootropic. MCT is mostly a marketing money maker to fool people stupid enough to not research what they are taking. Just Google 'MCT Oil vs Coconut Oil' and read! I would save your money and just buy the Cocopure which you will be assured is natural and very likely to contain what you expect it to.Goes Well With:Protein Powder.
First time to try and think it is effective for my recovery
I bought this as MCT oil is quite expensive and this seemed like a cheaper alternative. I wanted to add it to my morning coffee for extra fat (I don't eat carbs all day until after my evening workout) and presumed being "unflavoured" it wouldn't make a difference to my favourite coffee. Unfortunately, it does. It tates like a coffee creamer, which is fine if that's what you want. I wanted to taste my nice espresso, but it now tastes a bit milky. I'd give this 5 stars if it was actually "unflavoured".
It's great, taste is good as well even if it's unflavoured just neck it down
MCT Powder definitely gives an increase in energy and really does work well in coffee to make it creamier. It doesn't always mix that well with bits floating on top. I probably will buy againGoes Well With:coffee, protein shake
MCT Powder is fanstastic to mix with powdered milk and use on cereal and in coffee. I'm starting my morning with this and am feeling amazing.
MCT's are excellent mixed with carbs & protein to make a complete shake.. Provides extra energy, mixes well and overall a excellent product, well recommended
Good MCT powder for a good price! The only down side is that the regular MCT oil has about 14 grams of MCT per 15ml while this powder has only 7 grams of MCT per 10ml. But all MCT powders like that. Goes Well With:Protein shake or coffee
Didn't mix properly at all and made my shakes taste horrific. Definitely not going to buy this again unfortunately.
Good value for money but I haven't had enough of a chance to really rate it properly due to being ill recently.
I bought this MCT Powder after all the discussions on the internet about MCT oil and its benefits, particularly with its link to helping to reverse Alzheimer's disease and other memory problems. Coconut oil contains MCT (medium chain triglycerides) so I usually get it that way, but it's also nice to have it in powdered form to add to drinks. It gives coffee a lovely creamy taste. It takes quite a bit of stirring to get it to dissolve completely, but isn't unpleasant if it doesn't. I would definitely buy this again.
I just recently bought some MCT Oil powder as I wanted to make myself some bulletproof coffee and the coffee tastes very good with the added creaminess from the MCT Powder. It can take a bit of time for the last few bits to dissolve in the coffee but if you use a hand-blender it takes no time at all and it tastes so good.
This MCT Powder adds a creamy taste to any beverage - it tastes just like powdered cream. It tastes very creamy and slightly sweet if eaten on its own. It takes half a minute of stirring to dissolve completely in tea, but the taste is definitely worth it. Goes Well With:Protein powder, Tea
I've started using MCT Powder instead of carbohydrate fuels because I wanted to turn myself into a fat burner more so for longer distance running and cycling and also because other carbohydrates fuel sources can GI distress for me. It tastes great, it has a creamy texture to it. I have used it once so far for 15 mile run with some Chia seeds which seems to suppress my hunger. I will continue to test it out on more runs to see how far I can go with it. Goes Well With:Anything

I bought this MCT Powder to add more healthy fats to my diet. It is very palatable and makes things taste creamier. I have used it in blended coffee and added it to my whey. However it would be good to know the source in the description and breakdown of which fatty acids proportions are contained i.e. caprillic acid etc. It would be nice to have that in the description.
