Having undergone a highly intense and meticulous purifying process, ensuring no protein denaturing and maximum protein integrity, each serving contains over 90% of protein and just 1% of fat. Been using this stuff for a couple of years now, just received my latest order of 10kilos of strawberry cream and I can't wait to indulge in the limitless gains contained therein. I used a 70% blend before this and I used to suffer from some nasty farts but I always thought this was to be expected when consuming whey protein. I was wrong. I now realise the previous blend wasn't especially clean and contained large amounts of lactose which was a likely factor in my horrific gainsgas. Since using this I don't suffer nearly as badly and the wife is much happier! Tastes great with milk, more than fine with water. Mixes absolutely brilliantly as long as you shake that beach hard and then leave it for a few minutes to dissolve. Regarding effectiveness, as soon as I pressed "confirm order" I instantly put on 10kg of pure unadulterated muscle and can now bench my house (it has 3 floors).Goes Well With:Water Milk Creatine Someone who don't even lift
Finally my search for a protein blend that doesn't just go down the toilet has ended. Having spent many years in the Gym, and many attempts at bulking/building on protein shakes I have finally put two and two togeather and realised that the shakes I have been taking were leading to some interesting toilet habbits. Habbits I would have rather gone without. If you are like me and would love to build solid muscle but suffer from IBS / Dairy Tollerance. This blend maybe just what you need to grow. I have taken this every day for over a week now with no ill side effects, no bloating, no primevil sludge errupting from my bowels. Just glorious anacondas. I shake the isolate with water, and the salted caramel blends fine with a shaker, the taste isnt bad either, infact its quite pleasent. I guess I will need to give it a couple more weeks to tell if its producing any awe inspiring gains, but for now I am thankful that I have found something that I can stomach. A protein source I wish I had discovered years ago. Goes Well With:IBS and Dairy tollerance individuals. Creatine Monohydrate
I've tried few flavors already and decided to go with some new ones. The Orange/passion fruit-well, it doesn't taste like orange or passion fruit for that matter. It taste strangely, didn't like it with milk either. However it's drinkable but not enjoyable. The chocolate peanut butter flavor is nice but the peanut butter flavor is non existing, so I'm really just drinking roasted chocolate (that's how it tastes to me). I'm disappointed with the flavor since choc peanut butter flavor is my favorite. There are many flavors I want to try BUT now feel like participating in Russian roulette. I don't understand why mp won't make a pack of all isolate flavors put it in a box and sell it to us, so we can try all the flavors. (Let's be honest one bad shake won't ruin the day and I'd rather pay little more than buy a 1/2,5 o 5kg of a flavor that's simply not drinkable) it would benefit both sides and eliminate the bad ones.Goes Well With:Oats, water, milk, cooking ingredient.
Myprotein.com is a great site for getting high quality protein at a discounted price. Usually when you buy from shops you are paying extra in packaging designs etc etc but this just does what it says on the tin which is what you want. Only criticism I have is they used Yodel to make the delivery and they are useless. Didn't bother turning up when they should and then claimed I was out (even though I was in the whole day). Called them up and they pretty much hung up on me. I don't know if MyProtein.com has a choice in what courier company they use but they should definitely switch. I had the chocolate flavour and it is ok. Not exactly a treat. But the protein quality and price is great so will use again.
This review is simple. Whey Isolate works. A sufferer of IBS that is triggered by lactose I gave up on protein supplementation for a long time. Recently, after a lot of research I decided to try Whey Isolate. With a low lactose percentage this product works. No bloating and no toilet shuttles! I shake with water and use strawberry FlavDrops. At first I was sceptical of another whey product but the difference is immense! I wish I had found it years ago, don’t hesitate… Shake! Goes Well With:Water & FlavDrops.
I have just ordered the unflavored Impact Whey Isolate for the first time, received the package within a few days and I like it. After reading some reviews here I was a bit worried, but it turns out it tastes perfectly fine; just as any other unflavored protein powder I've had. In fact, I even think it's got less of a distinct taste than other products I have used before. To be fair, I didn't compare it directly with any other product. (On a side note, I don't understand why people here complain about how the articifially flavored versions of the isolate taste, well, artificial. Seriously, just add some cocoa powder or fruits yourself; problem solved.) I always mix it with fat-reduced or fat-free milk, which works fantastic. I haven't tried it with water. Bottom-line is, I'm very satisfied with the product and considering the price it might become my new favorite protein powder. The one thing that bothers me though is that the nutritional information on the product differs from the information that is provided on this website. My bag says 373kcal, 0.3g fat (0.3 of which saturates), 2.5g of carbs (2.5g of which sugars), 90g protein, 0.50g salt. Now, I acknowledge this is very similar to the information above, but when I order a product I would like to receive what was advertized. If I order a car in Ferrari red, I want it in Ferrari red and not in Alfa red - no matter how similar that might look. Hence, one star off.
Started out with the chocolate smooth, as the standard product - mixes excellently, taste is pretty good with water (I've not tried it with milk), but most importantly to me it was a highly effective way of increasing my protein intake without the potential bloating that may come with additional food. As it's an isolate, it also means it's not coming with loads of extra unnecessary sugar, which is worth the modest additional price. Also bought strachiatella flavour, which I really love, fantastic taste. I let my wife try it too, and it has helped convince her to increase her weight lifting time to justify drinking it, such was her enjoyment of this flavour! After having tested these two out as post-workout drinks, and seen the benefits it has brought to the increase in lean muscle mass I've made since then, I've now also bought the unflavoured version for mixing with other foods. I add it to my scrambled eggs each morning to boost the protein levels I get first thing in the morning and also for it's fast-absorbing benefits to halt any catabloism from overnight. Again, this is making noticeable - and measurable - differences to my lean muscle mass. I'd thoroughly recommed this to anyone who is seriously interested in transforming their physique and those who want to take their training to the next level.Goes Well With:Water Scrambled egg (unflavoured)
White choc flavour tastes good with milk, mixes horrible and tastes horrible with water however! But good value and would buy again.Goes Well With:Milk
Horrifically over processed. Tastes nothing like peanuts or chocolate. Hopefully My protien will refund/provide me with a taste bud scrap at least!! Goes Well With:The bin
As a student i tend to lean towards concentrate for financial reasons however, isolate is equally brilliant in terms of taste and nutrition. I have gone through 4 flavours: Choc smooth = average (no preference to milk/water) Banana = brilliant (milk) Vanilla = brilliant (milk) Strawberry cream = brilliant (milk)
This protein taste of sweetener only. There is no strawberry flavour at all. It is the lumpiest Protein I have tried to mix and comes back up on you. Horrible stuff.
I usually go for the Chocolate Smooth and recently switched to the Whey Protein Isolate from Whey Protein. It mixes well with water (which means milk would be fine). I prefer adding a small amount of water (100-150ml) so that it's more of a smooth chocolatey drink. I don't tend to have it pre-workout, mostly post-workout straight away (or at most 30-mins after finishing). Compared to Whey Protein, it's slightly more bitty (I assume because of the composition of ingredients) but it doesn't go lumpy and you don't notice it at all after the first few shakes.Goes Well With:Morning Smoothie - 1 scoop + 80g raspberries (fresh or frozen) and 200ml water Water (and probably milk).
I have purchased many flavours of this product and similar products from the MyProtein range. Bar raspberry, all of them tasted nice and sweet, the only downside is that I got a bit sick of them if I continually mixed them with milk, so if you are having multiple shakes a day, use water. Mix-ability varies by flavour, however all leave no lumps etc. if mixed well. I have had no problems with this aspect. With regards to effectiveness, they do provide a good supplement for those who do not have enough protein in their diet, yet I believe they are not essential.
DO NOT BUY THE WHITE CHOCOLATE FLAVOUR!!! Normally the protein i get from my protein tastes fine, but I decided to try a new flavour and chose white chocolate, I can barely drink it, it make me feel sick and I bought 2.5kg!!! Don't make the same mistake I did!!!Goes Well With:Nothing
I bought the banana flavour whey protein isolate and can honestly say it takes like poison. I am actually very lenient when it comes to flavour, I have many supplements from different venders and even if it doesn't taste nice I still grin and bear it. Before trying this shake I thought the most unpleasant taste was BCAA, this has topped it by far, makes BCAA takes like sugar in comparison and that's saying a lot. The only positive I can think of is that it mixes well but that doesn't counter the flavour. How is it banana flavour and the mixture orange coloured. Goes Well With:Poison
I can't cover all flavours but I got the blueberry and it is vile. It tastes like extra strong sherbert.
Vanilla has a great taste but when I shake it with water there's a great deal of foam left over which isnt so nice to drink.
I would really not recommend the pineapple flavor, it simply tastes nothing like the fruit and has a chemical sweet after taste that is lingers in your mouth which is horrible.Goes Well With:I have yet to try it myself but i can only see it going well with a smoothie.
I have always struggled to get motivated after a work out that left me feeling sore, would take me nearly a week to recover. It took a few days to kick in but i recover so much faster especially if i take a shake 1 hour before bed, i wake feeling ready for more. I have banana and tastes great, i have had friends try it and never noticed it was a protein shake, so worries on the whey taste.Goes Well With:Bcaa 1500 Red top milk (mixes better than whole milk)
Been working out for 20 years, tried just about every protein powder on the marked. I have found that 95% of the stuff out there tastes way way too sweet, and almost fast like candy. Its also very hard to find something that actually taste like what it says on the container, and worst of all many of them, makes you feel bloated and unhealthy. Myprotein isolate banana flavor, actually taset exactly like banana, not too sweet just that mild and creamy banana flavor. Not only that, because its a pure isolate, the body handles it great, and much better then concentrates, and gives no sense of bloating to anything. Its the best protein product I have tried, periodGoes Well With:Creapure, fresh fruits, milk,
Used Whey Isolate for years now, great product but the Salted Caramel is a total disappointment! Hardly has any flavour, not very nice on its own.Goes Well With:Banana, Cacoa
Tried the peanut cookie flavour Mixes ok, but taste is very sickly with just water, much better if you mix with half milk/half water and a spoon of cocoa powder
I normal choose chocolate but being summer i thought id try a fruity flavour. I choose raspberry. I drink it eith water and also have mixed it with porridge/ yogurt The taste was very unnatural and sickley sweet. When mixed with porridge/yogurt it turned it bright hen party pink. That combined with the taste made me feel sick. NEVER AGAINGoes Well With:The Bin
Mixes well and tastes great. Used it in food recipes with no mixing problems either. Been using it for 3 months now and i have seen results as expected. Goes Well With:Water and ice. Use a blender and add honey post workout to make it taste even better.
I drink one of these with semi skimmed milk everyday either mid morning a few hours after breakfast or instead of breakfast and another about a half hour before going to the gym. Fills me up, tastes good and give me energy for training. Would recommend!Goes Well With:Semi skimmed milk followed by a gym session
I've always purchased this isolate powder and been happy in the past with the chocolate peanut butter flavour. However, I recently purchased the salted caramel one and it's so disappointing! It tastes nothing like salted caramel - just simply like plain protein! Do not get this flavour.
I do not write reviews, I have a overbearing sweet tooth ever known to mankind, this flavour SOUNDED great, I purchased this along side the choc brownie (which is pretty tasty!) and had been introduced to something that couldn't taste any worse if you threw in some paint stripper and cheese feet. I'm sure the actual content is working and aiding my fitness goals, but how this tastes of peanut cookie is beyond me, only someone with taste buds which have been ripped violently out could even stamp this as something close. It's almost medicine-like, over bearing-sweet taste just leaves you sick in the soul, and I reiterate I have a major sweet tooth, this product should be taken off the shelves and re-evaluated. Hope this warning will help someone out there to not get duped like I did. Not a happy customer. Goes Well With:Backside of hoarse and feet and pig.
Great product it's has really helped my training
Having used Whey concentrate 80 from TPW in the past, I bought this because of the hefty discount. The TPW protein disperses very easily and the powder pours out of the packet or through a funnel if needed. MP Impact Whey tends to block a funnel and does not disperse in liquid that well, you end up with chunks which isn't that pleasant. Shake the heck out of it and it's just about smooth. The Blueberry Cheesecake flavour is ok, a bit too much cheesecake and not enough blueberry. That all said, the negatives are fairly minor given that a) it was a great price and MP are always offering discount, and b) it's 90% whey isolate that doesn't taste completely awful, so there are worse things in life. I give this product 4 out of 5, it could be better but, but the issues are cosmetic. Goes Well With:Morning oats
I have found that the impact Whey Isolate product has been a very good purchase, due to the great taste and the way they help my muscles recover. I will be buying this product again but in a larger bulk. When purchasing this product you need to make sure you have a healthy diet as otherwise the product will not work as well. Also remember this is not a meal substitute so make sure you still eat at least three meals a day. Goes Well With:I have started mixing banana into the product, which fills me up more and gives me more energy and most importantly taste great.
I would be a late starter to the gym world so it was I few guys at the gym that told me to look at my protein for all your supplements and to be quite honest I wouldn't go anywhere else as the world of information and ranges of products is second to none and the service is first class.... Signing out sham !!!!Goes Well With:A drop of honey this will help the protein get into the body quicker 😜💪💪💪
I just don't like the taste and texture. I would like to have a chance to try cream and cookies which is not available, unfortunately.
Always buy my protein from myprotein and usually the flavours are really nice but this one is not. The flavour isn't very strong so use less water than required, that seems to help a bit. Purchased 2.5kg aswel :(
Just a fantastic product, pure, clean and simple. The best you can get in terms of quality and price. Why I go for the unfavoured just unadulterated goodness, not the best taste hence its unflavoured but add your own. Brilliant!
Tried various flavours of this particular protein and I do like the taste of this one! I was initially looking for a plain peanut flavour but as its chocolate peanut it still tastes great! I use this to increase my protein intake in the morning by adding it to porridge, only thing is it doesn't mix very well and can be a bit lumpy and almost chewy. It's bearable and eventually not noticeable because the taste is good! Goes Well With:Water, milk, porridge oats
Taste is good, def nicer than some others i have tried.Goes Well With:Goes well with unsweetened almond milk.
This has to be my favourite protein shake ever, I love the flavour chocolate peanut butter is yummy ,I mix with just half a pint of water in my nutri bullet be warned that this will then turn into a delicious pint of frothy foamy shake which has to be my favourite I think so far ,I will defo order again ,ALTHO its more expensive than there ordinary whey protein you only need one scoop at at only a 100 cals a go with lots of good quality protein and very few carbs its ideal if you are like be watching yr weight and cutting carbs. one happy customer Goes Well With:green tea mega extrac and, cla. no need to blend with milk I never use milk anyway just water.
Great product, the only protein out there that doesn't make me bloated. I have celiac disease (gluten intolerance/allergy) so this is amazing for me to be finally able to boost my daily protein intake with this great product. I love the feature of using falvdrops, I have about 6 different flavours so it's never exactly the same taste between shakes.Goes Well With:milk, legday
Started using this for around 2 months now, the chocolate smooth flavour is rather pleasant (for all you flavour chasers out there) and mixes very well. I tend to use only around 200 ml of water to keep a rich chocolatey taste. I also mix powdered creatine (unflavoured) and is still wonderful. Will however by a new flavour next time as am getting a bit bored lol. Goes Well With:Water, Milk, Unflavoured Creatine
So this is by far the best protein I've found. Not only does it check out with independent studies that check how much protein is actually in it, but it also tastes good. A few notes, though. The flavours imitating fruit typically don't quite taste like the fruit. I once got a pack of strawberry that tasted vaguely berry-fruity. It wasn't undrinkable or anything, but it wasn't strawberry. Pineapple tastes like pineapple when you know what it's supposed to be. Again, not bad - quite good in fact -, but it misses the mark a bit. Now, the stars are the flavours of chocolate, vanilla, stracciatella, rocky road and the flavouris imitating sweets. These are spot-on! They're sensationally delicious and One of the best ideas that MyProtein has had with the protein is the sample packs. I'm far less likely to buy 500g or even 1000g of a powder I might not like the taste of. So the sample packs are sensational. With every delivery, I get a few samples, just to try them out. All in all, Impact Whey Isolate is exactly what it promises, tastes somewhere between good and delicious and keeps me going during tough workouts!
Buying this isolate was my first venture into the world of protein shakes, so admittedly I have nothing else to compare it to and I am only reviewing this based on the first taste of such shake EVER. I ordered Chocolate Smooth and I found it quite enjoyable, actually. Tastes like very sweet chocolate milk, in my opinion it doesn't taste artificially. I mixed it with half milk half water in the pink Myprotein shaker (the one that holds 400ml) and experienced absolutely no lumps, just a really nice smooth texture. So far my only complaint would be that it's too sweet for my taste. But I have a feeling that the sweetness will be more than welcome after an especially tough workout in the gym. I will be back with an update once I test the isolate for a longer period of time. I'm especially interested in how quickly will it influence the muscle growth.Goes Well With:Half milk, half water.
Whey isolate is perfect for gaining that lean muscle everyone requires easily mixed and good taste all round top product Goes Well With:Product can be used with both milk or water I prefer milk for that thick milkshake taste.
Getting back into the gym after an off period due to injury has been difficult but having this protein makes thing abit easier, salted caramel is perfect to take the edge off my cravings, tricking myself into believing that after every session im having a naughty treat with this sweet tasting whey. Perfect for those who get chocolate cravings and who could kill off a whole box of biscuits like myself. Goes Well With:Meal replacement that I've got aswell. Putting an extra half scoop in while I'm at work, out on site all day. Keeps me going and stops the hunger dead in its tracks.
relly annoyed. I know that flavours vary but my rocky road flavour came with crazy 14g carbs and 11g sugar per 25g serving! im fuming
Recently purchased my 3rd bag of whey isolate, I went with 'Peanut Cookie' first time around which was pretty disgusting but just about drinkable.. I then went for 'Chocolate Brownie' which was unbelievably nice, probably one of the nicest proteins I've ever had in 7/8 years of training and supplementing with protein shakes.. a few days ago I opened my 2.5kg bag of ''Tiramisu' isolate (a risky flavour choice I know) but I'd say it tastes worse than drinking somebody's dirty used bath water straight out of the tub (I imagine) absolutely vile, tastes nothing like any tiramisu I've ever encountered in my life... after a few days of trying to overlook how bad it is and drink it anyway I've decided to give up, I have a bag of high quality low carb low fat protein and literally can not give it away as everyone else who tries it agrees that it really does taste that bad.... Very disappointed as myprotein are normally consistently good with flavouring... I will say the isolate is a great choice for anyone looking to build lean muscle or cut up for a holiday or show though, the protein itself is really good quality, just don't make the mistake I did and play it abit more safe with the choice of flavour Goes Well With:Water.. or mixed in with Greek yogurt/Oats
Best tasting (chocolate smooth), easiest mixing protein power I have ever used. It even smells nice! This protein power isn't as painfully sweet as Impact Whey Protein but tastes great. The effectiveness is difficult (impossible??) to score but the nutritional make up is fantastic.Goes Well With:Water and a little shake
The vanilla whey isolate is the best protein supplement I've tried yet. After years of trying multiple different brands and flavours, this has the best flavour and high amount of protein per serving compared to 'complex' whey products. As its an isolate, its easier on the stomach too.Goes Well With:Power smoothie: creatine powder, chopped banana, almond milk, flax seed, and a scoop of vanilla whey protein.
Decided to go for these 'play it safe' flavours for a month, and I'm certainly not disappointed with the flavour. The both the Natural Chocolate and Natural Banana taste amazing, exactly as you would imagine. The however comes with mixability. Bearing in mind I only use water, the chocolate one mixes perfect, goes flat after around 10 seconds with no froth, the perfect shake. The banana one though ends up with a bigger head than a pint of Guiness! Even after leaving for a while to settle, it just sits there, and I end up taking the lid off my shaker and talking the last couple of mouthfuls directly from the cup. It's definitely the way the powder is made, as I use exactly the same amount as the chocolate one with the same amount of water, but both shakes are of such a different consistency. I hope MyProtein read this and look into perhaps improving the Natural Banana powder, as it does taste great, just doesn't mix well.Goes Well With:Just water.
I have ordered and used a few flavours, keep away from the banana, it has a chemical aftertaste which puts you off mixing it again. blurghhhh strawberry & cream was ok though. Goes Well With:Loads of water
Quite foamy after shaking, also leaves a fair few lumps in the shaker. Taste gets a bit sickly after the first few but apart from that decent product for the price! Also recieve way to many emails after buying.
