Caffeine is ideal for anyone looking for a high intake of caffeine prior to exercise. We recommend consuming 200mg 45 – 1 hour before your work-out. Due to its stimulant nature, in order to avoid any issues with sleep, it is best not to take caffeine too late in the day.
Warning: Please be careful when dosing Caffeine as it is a potent stimulant and can cause bad side-effects when taken well above the recommended amount. It is recommended not to consume more than 200mg (approx. 1/16th of a teaspoon but we recommend using digital scales) in one serving.

I use this as a pre workout, I have tried specific pre workouts before and find them expensive and ineffective. I think I probably have a reasonably high tolerance to caffeine though. It does taste absolutely rancid, like some sort of chemical cleaner but I usually mix it with just enough water to dissolve it (less than a mouthful) and chase it with water. I can feel it work within minutes and is at full effectiveness after around 15 minutes. The number of doses you can effectively get from a small pouch is incredible - over 350 I think I worked it out as. NO BRAINER !Goes Well With:Nothing
This stuff does exactly what it's meant to do! Tastes absolutely vile but Works within minutes and keeps you focused and pumped. However, be very careful with the dosage, I had too much and it put me in hospital! Think I'll stick to caffeine free pre-workouts. Overall though, brilliant product (when measured right!) Ok so I'm gonna start with the bad points and then move on to the good points.. The only few bad points with this product is that it tastes horrible. I take it with a small glass of water and keep filling it up until all the product has been swallowed as it doesn't dissolve in water. It's a strong taste so try to have lots of water with it. OR put some in your protein shake and you can barely taste it. The packaging is annoying. You have to dig your hand in to find the tiny scoop and end up getting the powder all over your hands which I always feel I'm wasting. I've started to just get a teaspoon and use the tip to measure out the right amount of powder. Also, if you take too much of this stuff then you end up shaking all day, feeling ill, needing to lie down etc etc please be careful with the dosage especially if you are sensitive to caffeine. HOWEVER with all of that said, I love this product and rely on this. It works almost straight away and is so fantastic for a boost at the gym. If I don't take it then I usually feel sluggish and lethargic during my workouts. Coffee etc does nothing for me and that's why this is brilliant as it actually makes me feel alert. For those who are having difficulty with dosage: try 'cutting' your caffeine powder with maltodextrin. The more 'cutting agent' you use, the easier it is to measure out a non-lethal dose of caffeine. For example, if you mix 1 gram of caffeine with 39 grams of maltodextrin, then every teaspoon (approx. 5g) of the mixture will contain about 125mg caffeine. I add 3 parts maltodextrin to 1 part caffeine which gives a dose of around 75mg in the smallest of the myprotein scoops. Goes Well With:Not dying from acute caffeine overdose
I've always had a double espresso before gym. This makes it more affordable to get the wake up and go feeling
I have tried many pre-workout supplements with no noticeable effect. This is by far the cheapest and most effective supplement I have used. I use 1 spoon instead of a half. My mind feels clear, I get tons of energy and a really good pump! I got no problem drinking it with water. It tastes a bit like bitter coffee, but the bitterness is mild. Great value for your money, go and buy now!
Keeps you focused and stimulated in the gym, I use a heaped small scoop (so about 300mg), wouldn't recommend this for everyone as its a huge dose but works for me!
Value for money probably the most effective supplement ever. this is the dogs! it gives you the biggest preworkout buzz and really helps getting those last few reps in for a real intense workout. However two points to take into account: 1-be careful with dosage, more than one scoop and i physically cant concentrate and cant stop shaking due to so much energy, so start off with half a scoop add an extra half scoop if you dont feel the tingling sensation. 2- this tastes rough take it with high concentrate cordial to help remove the taste, i take BCAAs with it as well which also taste horrible, so it definetly needs cordial and to hold your nose.Goes Well With:High concentrate squash Beta Alanine BCAAs
I decided to buy Caffeine cause coffee is the drink I always use first thing in the morning to wake me up though it could have some upsetting effect to the stomach when taken on an empty stomach. Not with this.The Caffeine powder which I ordered from myproteine.I usually mix it with milk and yes the taste is not pleasant, very bitter and practically does`t go with anything else but it` has a magic effect. It`s like you`re flying on a horse. Your work/ workout flows nicely, you have a clear focus of what you`re doing and you just need a one small mp (the very little)measure scoop. So, be careful! Do not overdose cause you may have palpitations or cannot sleep late in the night. Doze it right and you will have excellent results!Goes Well With:milk
This stuff is really good. A tiny amount of it (one serving) will make you very alert and help get you through your workout. However, too much of this (especially if you don't have much caffeine in your usual diet) will make you shaky. It does taste insanely bitter though, but just put it with a small amount of water and knock it back then have a cup of strong tasting drink to get rid of the vile taste. I am not complaining though, caffeine is a bitter substance (look at it on Wikipedia) and this stuff is "unflavoured"... Goes Well With:Nothing... Caffeine really clears up your mind and helps you focus on your workout.
Caffeine tastes horrible, get some strong squash. But once you deal with the taste, it's an amazing product. Real increases in strength, endurance and mental focus are immediately noticeable, but you should be very careful when dosing because with caffeine you dose in the mg, not the g. It pairs well with Beta Alanine for when you want an intense weight session, or with Taurine for when you want a good cardio one.Goes Well With:Creatine Beta Alanine Taurine
I don't really have anything bad to say about it, I always keep some with me in a little capsule so when im low on energy I can get a quick pick me up it doesn't taste too good but mix it with juice and can barley tell its there, I personally take it after the gym to get me through my ride home but I can see the benefits of taking it before, I don't drink coffee so its also a great thing to have in the morning to get you awake, it works quickly and well worth the buy just make sure you have the mini spoon not the small or you'll be bouncing of walls and probably vomiting. The Caffeine certainly works.
This Caffeine powder is pure and when taken in the correct quantity, which I find is one small scoop, works very effectively. The scoop is provided in the container so it makes for easy measurements. If you need that little boost before your work out, or just a morning wake up before work then this is a cost effective way of doing so because it lasts a very long time. It also saves you buying a caffeine drink from the shop, like a coffee or an energy drink. Just thinking back, I used to spend a lot a day on coffee and juice for energy whilst at work and this worked out at around £100 a month. For one bag of 500g caffeine, it is much cheaper and lasts for ages. This powder is mixes well. I can take it with water because the taste is not strong and the taste is unnoticeable when mixed with diluting juice or the like. So for all these reasons I highly recommend this product.Goes Well With:water, diluting juice
If you have used pure caffeine powder before, you pretty much know what to expect. It may not taste very good when mixed with water alone, and the mixability isn't something to boast about, either. However, it works fantastically and you can feel the effects almost immediately. Be careful with the measurements, because even a small amount goes well above the daily dosage. It is, as a conclusion, laboratory grade caffeine at an incredible bargain.

This Caffeine is not effective at all if you are on any other form of caffeine-based pre-workouts, but if you cycle them on and off it works well as a pre-workout. It can also be used as a good wake up tool in the morning.
This Caffeine is not as effective as I thought it would be. The taste is really bad. I would rather drink a coffee to be honest.
This Caffeine will have you bouncing off the walls in about 15 minutes. You have to be real careful with the dosage though because having more than 2 of the included scoops a day will make you vomit heavily. Goes Well With:any flavored liquid
This stuff is awesome, Have tried loads of pre workout drinks & powders that have little or no effect. But this gives complete focus & energy without added tingles or head rushes. Take note of the directions though as this has the potential to be seriously harming. I suggest buying the 0.5cl spoon and serving two 3rds of it. Taken as directed will keep you safe & give extraordinary results ;-)
I take this Caffeine pre-workout and when I first wake up. It really does add a nice kick to the day! I down a pint to a litre of water when I wake up, so the taste doesn't bother me too much.Goes Well With:Water.
Make sure to check the dosage! I accidently took 2grams instead of 200mg as I got mixed up with the small and mini scooper.
To echo the tales of other reviewers above. Check the dose carefully, start off low. I read mini scoop and assumed this referred to the MP Small scoop. Ended up taking 2/3's of a Small Scoop thinking this was correct but actually worked out at around 2000-3000mg. (10 to 15x recommended.) Despite starting feeling jittery and light headed the workout went really well setting two PR's but had to stop due to extreme nausea, light-headedness, vomiting, severe anxiety and rapid pulse/heart rate. This is coming from someone who drinks between 3 and 8 espresso's daily without feeling a thing. This is incredibly potent stuff and I'm sure if used correctly could be a powerful workout stimulant but it is NOT worth the feeling of impending doom that comes with an overdose (VERY EASY MISTAKE TO MAKE) Use with extreme caution. Extremely effective. Gets you up and running in the morning. I recommend going lower than 200mg, because of the side effects, and it's still effective.
This Caffeine is an extremely strong stimulant. Don't simply compare it to a cup of coffee, as this stuff is pure caffeine and the effects are much much stronger. I would recommend starting with just 50mg, then move onto 100mg if you really have to. Just make sure you start on a really small dose and work out what works best for your body.
This is such an amazing product... such an energy rush for my cardio workouts as well as my weight training. However the unflavoured variety tastes disgusting. Gram of caffeine in a thin paper towel washed back with water to avoid the horrible taste. This product is top quality. Highly recommend this to anyone who is passionate about their training.
Pretty impressed with this product. I'm not going to lie it tastes absolutely repulsive but it gets working really quickly. Very strong, I have lowered to dose to 100mg instead of the recommended 200 mg due to how effective it is.
Caffeine is great. It works really well. I use it with coffee to add a proper kick before my workouts. I've never trained so hard until I teamed this with beta alanine.
Wow this stuff is so strong just make sure you don't take more than the recommended dose. taste is vile but it makes you train twice as hard. If you can stomach the taste it's well worth it.

If it works well why worry about the taste. I love this stuff and it has helped me train in my martial arts and helped me tarin for tournemnts when training becomes realley intense. "I bought this product as I have a regular high intake of caffeine due to my physically demanding job and I was worried about the effects constant energy drinks were having on my teeth. This product doesn't really mix well with many things so I decided to buy pill capsules and fill them with the caffeine, I found this works really well and you feel the effects of the caffeine really quickly. Since starting to take this product I feel my general health has improved and I am more motivated to exercise. I haven't really had any bad side effects at all. "This product it pretty strong so measure it properly! its great though! i usually keep my caffeine intake to a minimum, however i got this to give me a kick up the ar$e!! and boy does it! i take it with Impact Whey protien, i have both toffee and strawberry flavour. i used to only be abel to have one scoop protein per shake as the flavours were far too sickly sweet for me, however with this caffeine in it i have to but 2 or three scoops in just to cover the taste! the taste is pretty bad!! but i dont mind as i get three times the protein and adequetly mask the caffeines taste!! would deffinatly buy again !! "As people have said, with water this is far from a desirable taste. However, mix it with a small glass of Orange Juice and you won't even notice it's there. As to its effectiveness I think this is down the amount of caffeine you reguarly consume in other drinks. I was a big Coffee drinker (sometimes 8 cups a day!) but now I'm down to just having Green Tea morning and night. As my body adjusts to not having so much caffeine on the regular, I've begun to notice the effects of this on strength and energy with both weight training and more specifically boxing training. Well worth the low price/high servings you get. Nice work MP."
"After reading the reviews on the near death experiences I was very curious in the potency of this product. Well it's not all that. It does give you more energy but its quite mild not a surging rush and I use about 3 times the recommended amount in order to feel any effect. Can probably go higher but is concerned on the effects such a high dose might have on my overall health, then again I am quite tolerant to these things so try a small amount first. To put it in prospective I get the a similar effect having a bubble espresso. Good stuff though would probably use it for a while to see what effect it will have over time. Taste - well it is what it is have it with a small mount of water neck it and have a orange or apple straight after, not that bad grow a pare!!"
"This product is highly effective. However as previous posts have mentioned it is very easy to OD so buy scales along with the product. I usually measure my caffine dose, but recently it wasnt having an effect, then I read that 2/3 of a mini scoop is equal to 200mg, so i consumed 2/3 of a mini scoop to find that it was really 2/3 of a small scoop (as i didnt realise mp had released a mini scoop), equalling to 1500mg of caffine. Heart rate has finally stabilised but i will not be sleeping tonight."
"It works. 200mg is more than what you would get in a cup of coffee or red bull. I have made the mistake of taking 2g of caffeine thinking it was some other supplement so can relate with another reviewer, nothing i can't laugh at now though. From personal experience i can't fault it and taken with what i recommended will make you want to tear the weights up or collapse in a coma. What i have noticed although the caffeine seems to make me nice and limber without needing a warm up it eventually makes you feel more stiff the more you use it. Ruins your digestion, as it takes several hours to want to eat anything and more anxious and impatient. There is an upper limit to how much caffeine you can take before you don't get any effects off this product so even if you slowly built up to 800mg of caffeine (which would probably ruin you if you have never tried this before) you wont feel as good as if you just took a couple weeks break and started from 200-400mg again. Maybe if MP put what 200mg of caffeine is equivalent in cups of coffee to help newbies and put the milligram measure in a capital MG would help. Even a diagram of what 200mg looks like on a spoon..."
"This is very strong! I accidently had 2 teaspoons of the stuff before realising I should of had 1/16th. I was shaking like hell, came out in blotches and pretty much lay away feeling anxious and on edge for the next 10 hours. My own fault!
