What is DigeZyme®?

What Is DigeZyme®?

DigeZyme®, known more commonly as Digestive Enzymes, are special enzymes that help with the breaking down of macromolecules into smaller building blocks, such as amino acids. By breaking down molecules such as proteins, lipids, and other enzymes into simple amino acid chains, it helps with the facilitation and absorption of these amino acids within the body.

The ‘Digezymes’ work by targeting specific substrates or the special chemicals that are involved in a chemical reaction within a product. In simple terms, it targets the product that is being altered or modified, and in this case, it will be the enzyme substrate or the substance in the body in which the enzyme is using to act or function upon.

What Are Digestive Enzymes?

Digestive enzymes can be split up into a few categories based off of the substrate in which they are specifically targeting or focused on. Proteins are broken down by Proteases and Peptidases. Fats and fatty acid chains are breaking down by Lipases. Carbohydrates, starches and sugars are broken down by Amylases. And the simplest nucleic acids or nucleotides are broken down by nucleases. Although each of these enzymes is being broken down within the body, the location in which each is broken down varies between each enzyme, and mostly found within the mouth, stomach, intestines and pancreas.

The Benefits of DigeZyme®

What makes DigeZyme® so helpful is the fact that it contains an abundance of amylase, lactase, cellulose, lipase and protease. Each of these has its own special characteristics and benefits for the body.

DigeZyme® will help reduce toxicity levels within the body generated by food consumption of products that are difficult to digest or when the body has difficulty digesting certain macro and micro molecules. DigeZyme® will also help aid in digestive health as it speeds up the digestive process. Digestion provides the body with nutrients in the simplest forms of amino acids, which helps increase protein synthesis, cognitive performance and immunity.

So, why should you take DigeZyme®?

Well, it’s actually quite simple. Although most food does contain a high level of digestive enzymes, it doesn’t mean we are actually consuming them. Studies have shown that when we cook food at a temperature of 120 Fahrenheit the heat intensity denatures the enzymes. This means that when we cook and eat meat it actually contains little to no enzymes at all after the cooking process takes place.

This is where supplementing with DigeZyme® is helpful, as the body will obtain higher levels of digestive enzymes. This improves the body’s ability to fight disease, as well as improving nutrient absorption from food during digestion, which will lead to an increase in muscle tissue regeneration after exercise and cell regeneration.

DigeZyme® is a key ingredient Thewhey, an ultra-premium tri-blend of whey protein.

Take Home Message

Although DigeZyme® is still a relatively new product, it has been proven to increase the effectiveness of digestion. This means you can make better use of the nutrients you consume and this has benefits for your body’s ability to recover after intense exercise. DigeZyme® will break proteins into their amino acids before being digested, which will help aid muscle growth and development. So look out for supplements containing DigeZyme® and reap the benefits of this innovative ingredient.
