Sticky and indulgent, toffee apples are a classic autumnal treat that go hand in hand with bonfires and chilly evenings. Pity about all the sugar, though. Fortunately, @kirstyfletcher_ has come up with this incredible low-sugar, low-fat version that won’t knock your macros off track.

With the inclusion of limited-edition Toffee Apple Clear Whey, these lighter apples are perfect for satisfying your sweet-tooth cravings, keeping all of the rich flavour while coming in at just 95 calories per serving. No trick, all treat.

Ingredients

Instructions

1.

First, add the apples to a large bowl or pan and carefully cover with boiling hot water to remove the wax from the outer layer (this will help to make sure the toffee mixture sticks). Dry them completely and remove the stalks.

2.

Now, stick a skewer or lolly stick into each apple and place on a tray.

3.

Next, add the water and Toffee Apple Clear Whey to a shaker and shake until mixed and lump-free.

4.

Pour your Clear Whey into a pan and gently heat. Add the Sugar-Free Golden Syrup and continue to stir until you get a thick mixture, then remove from heat.

5.

Dip your apples into the toffee apple mixture so that each one is fully coated, and then cover with sprinkles.

6.

Put them in the freezer for 30 minutes to allow the toffee layer to harden, then enjoy!
