Banana and Strawberry Protein Bites
When I used to have a sweet tooth I’d keep a secret stash of fruitella hidden in the glove box of my car and every now and then I’d have one as a post gym treat. But when you’re clean eating and trying to cut out refined sugar secret stashes of car sweets is not an option!
With these Banana and Strawberry protein bites you can satisfy your sweet tooth whilst getting in some protein and some healthy carbohydrates to replenish your depletes glycogen stores post workout!
Ingredients
These banana and strawberry protein bites are easy to make, don’t require baking and are suitable for vegan and vegetarians! Here’s what you’ll need:
3 scoops of Strawberries and cream soy protein isolate
½ a scoop of instant oats
10g of oatbran (optional for added fibre)
2 tablespoons of Myprotein Almond butter (can be substituted for peanut butter)
10 Strawberry Myprotein flav drops
1 very ripe banana
50ml of soy milk
3 squares of dark chocolate (85%)
Preparation
Step One
In a bowl mash your ripe banana using a fork.
Add and combine your protein powder, instant oats and oatbran.
Step Two
Add two heaped tablespoons of Myprotein natural almond butter.
Using the back of a fork mash the dry ingredients into the banana and nut butter until fully mixed.
Step Three
Add you Soy milk and Flavdrops and mash further.
Using your hands press and roll the mix into little squares/ balls.
Step 4
Melt 3 large squares of dark chocolate and cover your mini bites
Put in the freezer for ten minutes and enjoy!
