Apple and Oat Protein Bar Recipe
These apple and oat protein bars are great for those who enjoy running, cycling and spinning! The combination of hearty oats with sweet apple sauce, seeds, nuts and dried fruit mean these protein bars can help kick you straight out of drowsiness and into gear. What are you waiting for? There’s not much preparation to this recipe but here’s what you’ll need:
100g of apple sauce
75g of oats
2 scoops of Myprotein impact whey protein powder (vanilla)
30g of Myprotein protein crispies
2 teaspoons of honey
2 egg whites
15g of chopped dried dates
20g of sultanas
15g of sunflower seeds
15g of pumpkin seeds
Chocolate chips (optional)
25g of brazil nuts
2 tablespoons of Myprotein all natural peanut butter
7 drops of apple Myprotein Flavdrops
Preheat your oven to 150 degrees.
For this recipe you can make your own apple sauce or use unsweetened apple sauce. To make your own apple sauce peel and chop a cooking apple and boil in a pan with 3 tablespoons of sweetener and 75ml of water for 5-10 minutes. Allow to cool and you’re ready to go!
Combine all your dry ingredients, seeds, nuts and fruit in a bowl and mix.
Beat two egg whites and combine with the your wet ingredients, peanut butter, honey, apple sauce.
Mix all your ingredients together and add 7 drops of Myprotein apple flavdrops.
Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper, pour and press down you mixture into the tin.
Cooking in the oven for 10 minutes, remove and cut into squares!
