Lovely
5A mate of mine is on Huel which I thought was a little expensive. After a search on Google I found that Whole Fuelbwas very similar. The ingredients were almost exact. I bought some and was blown away. It tastes great and mixes great. It actually tastes better than my mates Huel. Money saved as well. Kerching. Goes Well With:Water.

Too Sweet
4Previously, I had used Huel for my dinners during work hours, however, due to the difference in cost, I decided to give Whole Fuel a chance. I have to say that overall I am happy with Whole Fuel. It mixes much better than Huel, which I always found to be extremely clumpy, and the cost is fair. My biggest gripe with whole fuel is that it's just so sweet! The vanilla raspberry flavour tastes somewhat reminiscent of melted ice cream with syrup mixed in. It's almost too sweet to stomach, and while Huel also suffers the same issue, it's nowhere near as severe. MyProtin - Please bring in an unsweetened whole fuel flavour. The current formula is just too sweet, to the point that it is almost sickening. Goes Well With:Water. Milk would be super thick.

Great product
5I bought this because I was sick of eating boring food for lunch. I absolutely love food and cooking and always cook a fresh meal from scratch every day, so by comparison lunch is more of a necessity than something I enjoy. This review is for the chocolate flavour. I was a little worried about how it would taste based on some of the other reviews but I was pleasantly surprised and I can't understand how some people are saying it's too harsh to drink. It just tastes like chocolate and oats, nothing too nice but certainly nothing horrible. And let's be honest, most people won't be drinking this for the flavour. The most important thing for me was that this filled me up and kept me full until my evening meal. It definitely ticks that box and certainly better than the usual sandwiches or salads. Mixing with a protein shaker isn't great but I've just been using a blender in the morning and putting it in the fridge at work. I'm sure it probably tastes better cold as well. I mix with 400ml water and after being in the fridge it's a bit like the consistency of a McDonald's milkshake.Goes Well With:A balanced diet

Shame about the taste
2I started using protein from another company a few months ago, and though I expected to hate it I was surprised to quite enjoy it. Eventually decided to try myprotein since all my friends use it, and decided to pick some of this up as a more rounded meal replacement. Really, really wish I'd just bought from the previous company - this whole fuel in particular is absolutely foul tasting (vanilla), the only way I'm managing to use it is cutting it 50/50 with the nice old protein I've got left. I'd stear clear if I was you!

Use Ice
5I've read a number of reviews of this and other similar powders that complain about the taste and poor mixability, but I've found all those issues go away when you mix with ice. I use a bog-standard mixer, no ball or any other gimmicks, load it up with the recommended amount of water and powder, then fill the rest of the way with ice cubes. It mixes effectively and cools the drink down, completely altering the flavour profile and making it much more palatable. I can't think anyone would like to drink a warm vanilla milkshake, which is what I'd equate this to _without_ ice. I find it filling and satisfying. Not too sweet (helps that vanilla is my favourite flavour).Goes Well With:A hot day.

Edible and easy
4I've been using Huel for a few months now and purely because of the timing of me running out of both Huel and other things I'd usually order from MyProtein I thought I'd try some of Whole Fuel. Many reviewers complain about the taste but honestly, I don't drink this nor the Huel for taste. It's a supplement to a busy lifestyle and so long as it doesn't trigger a gag reflex, it's fine by me. However I will say that Huel tastes nicer than Whole Fuel. Some people bring up the sugary taste in contrast to Huel. I had a shake just prior to trying Whole Fuel and the sugary flavour is apparent in both. Both need a stark reduction in my opinion. In any case, it's cheaper than Huel, almost as enjoyable, packed with great macros and it is completely edible. It's likely I'll stick with this going forward.Goes Well With:Being busy AF.

Artificially sweet
1Thought I’d give this stuff a go as with offers it’s far cheaper than Huel however the smell and taste is really off putting... As soon as you open the bag there’s an overwhelming almost industrial type smell, that lingers. Mixing is ok, I used a hand blender with Huel and this mixes just about as well. However the worst thing is the taste, really artificially sweet and the after taste is foul. Mix that with the smell, it’s really difficult thing to drink each day. I endured 3 shakers full and had to give up. It’s a shame I was hoping vanilla whole fuel would be like vanilla Huel, would not recommend this product! Goes Well With:The bin

5Excellent alternative to its most famous competition (begins with an H). Mixes OK, but tastes good and has all the right ingredients and a good amount of protein.Goes Well With:Water.

Too Sweet
3It'd be great if there was a variant without sugar or even flavour. Huel gets away with this, and it's great, you can mix coffee with it, or whatever you want and it doesn't contribute any taste.

finally!
5just writing to say thank you to myprotein for making this! finally an affordable alternative to the other hip overpriced 'fuel' products. i always loved the no hassle idea of meal replacements (especially when cutting) but all the products on the market are so overpriced it's rediculous. if you plan to go on full meal replacement diet its gonna hit your wallet harder than eating out at fancy restaurants everyday. for that reason i've been making my own for a while and it roughly cost me 3-4 quid a day. with this you're roughly looking at 4-5 quid a day for full meal replacement which is still half the price you'd pay for the most popular item on the market.
