Tastes disgusting
3So, being a very thin but active person I decided I wanted to chunk up a bit (5ft 10 and 52kg). I've been trying to gain weight with varying success for years but thought this might be an easier way to gain weight than eating 6 meals a day. I had one of these shakes twice a day for about 2 weeks and didn't gain any weight, but then I stopped taking it thinking it wasn't doing anything and lost 2kg in 2 days. I didn't change anything else! I think this is me having a metabolism that adjusted quickly to the increased calories rather than the product but bear in mind if coming off this that it is probably better to do it gradually so your metabolism can adjust. Also, the unflavoured tastes absolutely awful. Like hold your nose awful. HOWEVER, it mixes really well - I blend half a scoop with milk, coco powder, peanut butter and a small bit of honey and it tastes really good. Half a scoop is much lower than the recommended amount but otherwise the taste is quite overpowering. When just mixed with water it is grim. Don't be put off though as I would buy it again as it is a convenient way to get extra calories, but I can only drink this if I mix it with other flavours to make it palatable.

Mixability needs improvement
4I have recently switched from the standard weight gainer and although this product tastes great and has a nice think consistency when mixed it never all mixes. You are always left with unmixed bits left at the bottom of the shaker.

It does the job!
4Really wish there were more options to choose from. Not a big fan of chocolate that much but it does taste alright. PLEASE BRING OUT BETTER FLAVOURS! Goes Well With:I mix it with peanut butter and bananas which makes it taste much better.

Disgusting
1Absolutely rank. Has a thick gritty texture and tastes like straw/a farm yard. Ordered two bags, I have requested a refund on the unopened one as it makes me feel physiclaly sick. I don't understand how people have said it tastes nice?! Only a wannabe vegan at the moment so will be sticking to whey for now. Goes Well With:Non existant taste buds

Not sure how I feel
3Just tried this product for the first time. Whoever works on MP's formulations hasn't got their sums right here. Even with 500ml of (soya) milk, not all of the product dissolves, and the resulting mixture is heavy and viscous. I suspect there's too much in the way of carbohydrate content for this to be properly soluble in only half a litre of fluid. I suspect that, in common with other 'gainer' products across the range, the shake i've pre-mixed for after my workout will thicken and be almost impossible to drink without adding extra fluid. However, the natural chocolate flavour does taste great.Goes Well With:TBC!

A Long-Needed Dairy-Free Weight Gainer
5I mix 200g of this with water with a mixer and pour into my MyProtein 1/2 gallon hydrator; tastes absolutely fine and is a great way to consume extra calories without feeling full. Wouldn't recommend using a shaker for this as there would be too much powder and not enough water!Goes Well With:1/2 gallon hydrator

Good product
5I was a bit sceptical about trying because of some of the reviews. But i think it tastes great. I do 2 scoops in the my protein shaker cup and have had no problems with mixing. The taste is also quite nice. Goes Well With:Water or almond milk

Don't get the other complaints
5Look, I'm not vegan so I mix this with milk for maximum calories/protein and it tastes great. For people complaining about it not mixing; just put it in a bigger shaker and add more water/milk. And shake harder. It's not that difficult, if a 6 year old can make chocolate milk, You can make a protein shake.Goes Well With:Milk

Not bad
4I got a flavoured one which was okay but too sweet for me (raspberry). Next one I'm going to get plain. It's way too thick to use three scoops as they say even with a blender. So you don't get the same amount as they say, as the scoops need to be smaller. But nonetheless does the job!Goes Well With:Coconut water and fruits blended. Just taste like a smoothie!

vegan weight ganier
5Been waiting for MP to release something like this for well over 10 years. Finally we have a vegan weight gainer. Mixes well i thought despite what others have said (ive used other brands that didnt mix half as well as this). Just make sure you use enough water (i use about 550ml and 2 scoops). As for the taste, well i thought it tasted really good. Definitely palatable which is half the battle surely at times :-) Would recommend!Goes Well With:Creatine
