Tasteless Squidge
1I'm on the keto diet and was given a bag of this to try from my friend who wasn't sure about them. When opening and draining the bag, I smelled a fishy smell and assumed it was the tuna mayo in my lunchbox next to me, but after reading other reviews I'm thinking it was the rice. I added it to a keto curry and honestly would've preferred it either with cauliflower rice or nothing at all. It's chewy and jelly-like and not a good substitute for rice, not as much as cauliflower rice anyway IMO.

This stuff is the business
5Yes, it might smell a bit when you open the pack, but give it a rinse with water and chuck it in the pan and it will pick up the flavour of what ever you mix it with. It also fills you up!Goes Well With:stir fry

Surprise
5Wow, I was shocked that this is good :) Although smelling really fishy and looking not very aesthetic, after rinsing and a good two minutes in the pan, it really just soaked the flavours around and was amazing with tomato sauce and chicken. Will be a staple for me!Goes Well With:Any kind of tasty, spicy food

Great alternative
5Whenever I crave for rice and on keto, this is my go to alternative. Definitely not like steamed rice when eaten alone. This is very much palatable when made as a fried rice, but you need to get rid of the excess water first: To get rid of the fishy smell and excess water, rinse them very well with cold water in a colander and squeeze well after. Then I dry fry them in a non stick pan until all the excess water evaporates. They'll start popping when it is too dry now, you'll have to watch out that it is not very dry. Then start adding your toppings for your fried rice. Filling and much delicious!Goes Well With:Minced veggies and meat

Not a fan
3The smell of fish when you open can be quite off putting but after cleaning and draining the rice the smell goes away. The rice is excellent for cutting calories, but I just don't like the texture of the rice when I'm eating it.

Excellent replacement for rice
5When you drain it and wash it with water, it's got a very fishy smell to it.. I usually wack it with my chicken in a pot. Bit of soy sauce, salt, pepper and the bend bros peri peri sauce and mix it all up.. Comes out perfect..tastes just like rice and the smell is gone.. Perfect when doing a keto diet like me

Absolute essential for me
4I live off of this stuff. It has made my summer cut much easier. I make all sorts of high protein, low carb / fat noodle dishes for lunch. Every day a different combo of noodles, ham, chicken, pulled pork, veg & sauces. I see people complaining that they aren't noodles / pasta / rice - they aren't. The same way cauliflower rice isn't rice; it's a low kcal alternative. They are what they are. I like & utilise them, allowing me to have the breakfast & dinner of my choice, a super low kcal lunch & easily hit my numbers. Nb 1 they are stored in a fishy smelling liquid, but a quick rinse in hot water before cooking & you are good to go. Nb 2 prefer noodles as they are closer to real noodles. Rice is good too, often I have a tablespoon of real rice & bulk it with this. Penne isn't as good as the others but I still buy time to time for a change. Nb 3 100g is too small, I need to use 2 packets at once. Goes Well With:Ham, chicken, pulled pork, veg & zero kcal sauces.

Diet rice
5If you can get over the smell of the water when you drain the rice this product is absolutely amazing! It fills you up and doesn't actually taste bad. It has a slightly odd texture but of your watching calories it is an absolute god send!!!
