This iBCAA is amazing! It mixes a lot better than the normal BCAAs and also tastes fine, berry blast just tastes like a fruit juice. This stuff makes BCAA 10 x easier to take. I will definitely be purchasing this product again!

Impact Whey Protein

iBCAA is an excellent product for what you want but the taste is pretty awful. I think I'll get the capsule form next time as I find it doesn't mix too well and weighing supplements out is a pain.

I've always used regular BCAA powder from MyProtein as it's good for recovery and general health. I just put up with the bad taste, but when I saw the iBCAA, I had to try it (in berry blast) and it tastes fine. I mix 2 scoops with 200ml of water and drink it easily, it has no bitter chemical-like taste, not even a bad after taste. It does leave a bit of powder at the bottom so it still isn't very soluble, however I drink mine in a smart shaker so if I keep shaking it between swigs, it mixes up better. I'll be sticking to this version from now on.

I bought the unflavoured Myprotein iBCAA (1kg) and although it mixes okay, there are crystal bits left at the bottom but that's not a major issue. What is an issue is the taste, it's awful and definitively needs some flavouring to make it close to being drinkable. I would recommend buying a small pack to see if you get on with it. I think I may prefer the capsules, at least they have no after taste.

"I have recently moved from BCAA tablet to iBCAA powder due to it's higher absorption rate. I found the tablets were simple and just popped them before and after training. This powder has terrible mixability, large granuals sit in the bottom of the glass and in your mouth and it has a really bad taste also. After training I blend a banana with my cookies and cream protein and L-Glutamine, before the tablets were never in my mouth long enough to taste but the iBCAA completely overpowers the taste of everything and makes it unpleasent. I don't know if it's just me or my batch. I do enjoy my protein but this isn't nice but effectiveness is 100%. I'd try a 250g (12.5 days is you take 3 doses a day) to see if you like the taste. That's what I got and glad I did because I'll either hazard a try at the new Berry Blast or move onto a different product or back to tablets"

"No doubting the effectiveness but what has happened to the unflavoured version? This used to be pleasant tasting (a bit like peppermint) and virtually disolved in water but now it does not mix as well and has the aftertaste of normal bcaa, albeit not as strong."

"Mixes far better than regular BCAA, also the taste is greatly improved still not a nice flavour but it is improved enough to mix in with protein. I used to have to down BCAA with water but it goes well with my PWO shake now. Tastes a bit like burnt marzipan but it's not that bad once you get used to it"

"I bought this product because of the addition of the lecithin, which the other powdered BCAA didn't have, and which MP stated would make the product soluble. However, it isn't - large particles of powder remain in the bottom, and stick in your mouth when you drink it, especially the last couple of mouthfuls. If the powder was finer I don't think it would be a problem, but the granules are big - some much bigger than sugar - which makes it unpleasant to drink. The effectiveness of the BCAA is as per the other MP products though."

Great product. 5g mixes perfectly with water and whey - no floating clumps as with regular BCAA powder. Awful taste of BCAA masked slightly by flavoured whey - certainly palatable. Tidy work MP.
