This stuff is amazing!! Best nights sleep ever!! I take with ZMA and cod liver capsules on an empty stomach. However if u take anti depressants it's best if u speak to ur dr first. 5-HTP raises levels of seratonin as do some anti depressants. You could do yourself a mischief. I bought this product to help with sleep and recovery as a knock-on effect. Pricing is excellent compared to Holland and Barrett or anywhere else I've seen it available. I took this through a tough bout of training in which I was struggling to fully switch off at night. Taken at about 8pm it chilled me out nicely and lulled me into a deep sleep by about 10pm. My body felt heavy, relaxed and ready for a good night's sleep. I slept really well until 6am. I generally need at least eight hours of sleep anyway. After taking 5-HTP I would find it more difficult to get up in the morning. My body still had that heavy feeling and my head felt fuzzy. Hi, I have been taking the 5 HTP for about 2 weeks now and it doesn't make any difference to the sleep I am getting I am sorry to say. It doesn't particularly bother me as I have woken through the nights probably 4 times a night for the last 20 years, so I am used to it and not fazed. I just hoped the 5 HTP would allow me to do so. 5-HTP has practically changed my life since I started taking it around two years ago. I bought this product mainly to help me sleep for the night and to help my mild depression. I'm not sure if it helps me sleep better, but it has definitely had a massive impact on my depression! the downsides are that after a week, it's started making me feel nauseous and my appetite is non existent but I could do with losing a few pounds so that's not too bad!

Due to shift working I've always had an erratic sleep pattern which means falling and staying asleep is difficult, frustrating and leaves me constantly fatigued. Since taking 5HTP falling asleep is slightly easier however the biggest difference I've noticed is the quality of sleep once dropping off.
