After doing lots of cardio and weights I found I was tired and my energy was flagging so after research i found it's because when you sweat you loose a lot of the salts etc in your body so I bought this product. I use it after my morning workout and then in afternoon and i have noticed my energy levels are maintained as normal
Goes Well With:
Mix in protein shake

Great product, keeps you properly hydrated. If you're used to fruity electrolyte drinks, the taste may be a bit strange and even unpleasant at the beggining, but I actually learnt to like it. Also, great value!

These salts taste salty... Who would have thought. As per previous reviews you need so little so the pouch goes a early long way. It's seen my wife and I though 6 months of distance training, cross training after football / cycling hydration.
Goes Well With:
Apple / Orange squash.

Superb product, mixes well, yes it tastes a little salty but it does compose of various salts and minerals so its to be expected. one level scoop of the micro scoop provided mixed well into to a pint of Robinsons Lemon Barley made the drink slightly salty but nowhere near as unpleasant as some of the drama queens on her would have you believe. Now completely cramp free whilst working my way through various crossfit circuits, beats the likes of powerade lucozade hands down!
Goes Well With:
fruit squash.

This is absolutely awful , the salty taste was too overpowering. I have used electrolyte drinks and powders before that had no taste at all so assumed this would be the same. I found it a complete waste of money as I will not be using it anymore due to the horrible taste of it.

Sweat loss means loss of salts (electrolytes). Salts are required for efficient performance. This product has the right ingredients (i'm no chemist but I did my homework), mixes well and tastes as it should (it's salt, of course it's salty). Apparently an average sweat loss per hour is 0.5-2.0L. Apparently an average litter of sweat lost has 2.6g of salts. I know I sweat more than those numbers, and I know that I get headaches if I don't hydrate properly, and by that I mean adding electrolytes to my drinks, whether during or after the workout. I haven't nailed down the amounts I should use because i'm scared to add 5g of salts for every hour that I work out, and I know that the food I'll eat will likely make up for a lot of the salts lost in the first place, but so far I've been adding a little scoop (the one that comes with the bag) in every bike bottle I drink and this already goes a long way. Those bottles are 0.75L. I usually go through 1 bottle per hour when on the bike. More when working out in the (warm) gym doing circuits. Anecdotally, i also put 40-50g of sugars in each bottle (equal volume mix of fructose, palatinose and maltodextrin).

Bought this as I always used to get headaches after particularly sweaty workouts like spin classes, so someone suggested I may benefit from adding electrolyte powder to my workout drink. Yes it's a bit salty but I just add a bit of squash and I actually quite like the taste, and as long as I keep properly hydrated throughout my workout my headaches are usually kept at bay.

I have been running long distances (10-15 miles) for the past few months, and always ended up with tight muscles or cramp in the evenings after exercise. I use this powder along with the electrolyte plus capsules and haven't had cramp since. For my longer runs, I mix the powder into my water bottle that I take with me. The taste is quite salty, but the powder is very effective a staving off cramp.
