Citrulline Malate
4Overall it’s a good product which is also recommended by a lot of YouTube busy builders and nutritionists. To get the pump though you have to have approximately 6 grams, which is also standard in pre-workouts. Also as a 2:1 ratio you’d get 4grams citrulline and 2 grams malaic acid in the 6 grams required. It is sour naturally but I enjoy the taste when mixed with squash. Mixes with anything as long as you mask the sour taste. Goes Well With:Any double strength squash

Effective
5This is an amino acid so it tastes acidic - that's not a criticism, just a statement of fact. It seems to work as a pump and vascularity enhancer. Measuring and mixing can be tiresome - I plan to get a capsule making setup and use this as part of custom pre-workout - that way it's done in one go and I doubt have to taste it.Goes Well With:Water. Goes better with capsules.

5If you deciding between AAKG and Citruline Malate, go with this one, as it certanly does give a better pump.

Pure and Raw
5Some raw ingredients can taste unbearable but the Citrulline is very easy to mix and drink, I didn't even notice a change in taste when I added it to my pre-workout mix.Goes Well With:Any pre-workout without a high dose of citrulline.

Does the job with correct dosage
4Firstly, if you're completing very intense exercise frequently, 2g isn't a high enough dosage. 8-10g I find optimal. I use this before weightlifting sessions and have found that it helps combat muscle fatigue post session. Particularly useful during heavy 1/2rm phases of programming. I mix with a low cal Lucozade or just a diluted squash as the unflavoured version leaves a real strange aftertaste with anything else. If you're doing high intensity, daily sessions then this is a great product to add as part of your nutrition plan. Not required when on rest days or low intensity programmes Goes Well With:Diluted juice or sports drink

Dosage
5So I received my first helping of citrulline malate, which I'm very excited to use and see results. I am however, confused about the suggested dosage. The bag says to use 7 1/2 mini scoops (2g)... so I decided to weigh it out. I dug the scoop around and levelled it out 7 and a half times as suggested and my weighing scales record a measurement of 3.3g. So, do I use 2g 0r the 7.5 scoops as suggested? I've done some research and other sites recommend a daily dosage of 6-8g... I'm confused... RegardsGoes Well With:Ginger green tea or black coffee

5Taste much like other brands, mixes well, wether it works as good, better or worse, only just started to use it, too early to tell.
