these bands are great! i have been powerlifting for a while now and have tried other more expensive bands and cant fathom why the price differs so much. being a self employed personal trainer i always look for cheaper alternatives to high end products and i found it with these. i purchased the entire range (red to orange) and love how each band progresses. i would recommend only using the red and purple for stretching as attempting pull-ups ect will potentailly break the band. if you know what your doing the range of exercises you can do is endless. they help with pushing through sticking points on lifts such as: bench press and deadlift. my only gripe is when i opened the orange pair one of the two was covered in mould!! this is obviously do to being damp when they were packaged. its not a huge problem as it wouldn't have damaged the band its self but it does effect how it looks as they are now permanently stained. other than this i would highly recommend these bands to anyone who wants to progress their flexibility or lifting capabilities Goes Well With:any other my protein product
As someone who has a rack, bench and barbell set up in my garage, these are indispensable. I own the red, purple and green bands, and I have found uses for each of them. The red bands are thin and offer little resistance - I've found them to be good for stretching and mobility work before training. They are also good for adding resistance to push-ups, kettle bell swings (around the rack and the waist) and around the backs of the knees during squats. These can force the lockouts to be a little stronger. The purple bands are mostly used for facepulls, banded deadlifts, and shoulder work (if you loop these around a couple of 5kg weights you can do some pretty challenging side raises). They're also good if you want to hang weights from a bar to simulate training with a flexible bar (try overhead press with a couple of 5kg weights hanging from the bar with bands - it really tests the core). I have four main uses for the green bands. I have done banded squats - these take a bit of setting up, though. I've also used them for standing crunches with the band looped around the top of the rack. Third, I've used them as a replacement for leg curls - these are fine, but there are better exercise for the hamstrings. Finally, and probably the main reason to buy these, I use them to loop around my bench when doing bench press. They turn my cheap, entry level bench into something much more advanced as I am able to really dig my traps into the bench without slipping. For this reason alone, I would recommend the green bands. For me, these are the three most useful bands. I imagine that the orange and blue are too thick for anything other than assisting pull ups. Goes Well With:A little imagination. Cheers
I purchased the red and purple bands to aid with calisthenics/ body weight training for assistance when practicing muscle ups and adding resistance for other moves. Seem very durable and well made and at a very good price. I like how they come as a pair where as on other sites it was more expensive just for one band. Overall great product.
Before buying the MP red bands I had a good few bands at different strengths and lengths from different companies. I can honestly say these are perfect for me to warm up my shoulders, well made and offer just enough resistance for my purposes.
I hadn't done a lot of work with bands until I bought these; but what a workout they can give you. I've ran through a couple of workouts and am left seating at the end with a decent pump. Because they are so small and light; they can go in your suitcase when you're away and you've got no excuse to skip a workout.
Most recently purchased the red bands to go with previously bought purple, green & blue sets which I've had for about 3 months. Customer support was excellent for both orders no problems during the ordering process and very quick delivery .Quality seems excellent and no issues with durability in the time I've had them - being used once or twice a week for banded bench & deadlifts.All this for a great for a pair of bands. Overall thouroghly recommended. Will definitely buy the orange pair from MyProtein if I ever get strong enough!
Was very pleased with the quality and strength of the green bands. Added to leg press for additional resistance through top of the movement was spot-on and will be using them for squats. Also are ideal for looping through weights plates and hanging from bars to add instability on free-bar movements. Would recommend them to anyone
Great product for assisted pull ups and other strength training drills. Two per pack so really good value.
Great stuff if you want to add some extra pressure to your normal pushups, i also use these for streching since they fome in pairs its like having cable rows at home.. These are also amazing for calisthenics, i used these bands to help me improve/learnmy front levers,human flags etc..
I bought a set of these bands as I'd heard they were really good for toning, and for using on the days you don't hit the gym hard. I'm not a massive lifter, and recently quit the gym so that I can train at home instead. It's going really well and these bands have helped no end. Only had them a couple of weeks but I'm already feeling a lot stronger, and can knock out more heavy reps on the bars as a result. I wasn't really sure what colour to go for so played it safe and went for the green bands. For me, they provide a lot of resistance, and I've found that by keeping tension in the bands throughout your set, you are constantly keeping the muscle under tension, which appears to be causing growth. My girlfriend has already commented that I'm looking more defined, and there are so many different exercises that you can do with them, they give a total body workout. I'll definitely be purchasing another set soon

These bands are great, both as part of a warm-up, when looking for assistance on dips or pull-ups, and also for adding a little extra and increasing the difficulty at the top of a rep for squats, dead lifts and press. A very useful product than can greatly enhance training.Goes Well With:Foam roller (warm-up) and an inventive mind.
Being cheap, I went for the cheapest option of resistance band, and whilst I cannot fault the band itself - it works great and I get good use out of it - I was expecting it to be a bit thicker and stronger. This could be down to not having enough specific description of each band on the page, however, this band confusion could easily be overcome by not being lazy and ringing customer services for advice on the products. If you want the resistance, don't be cheap.Goes Well With:Foam roller
"I bought the blue bands which provide a heavy resistance, perfect for speed word when anchored (to a rack or bar/weights). No major issues with them just make sure you check them each time you use them for wear. The red and purple are more suited to mobility work And rehab, anything higher is for power/speed or assistance work. Beware of grease and oil as they will break down the latex and cause your bands to snap, so wash your hand before use or chalk them up."
After suffering a bad dislocated shoulder and a long physio build up I needed some stronger bands and these MY PROTEIN resistance bands are excellent!
