Overview

Over the past couple of years Wheatgrass powder has become a more and more popular nutritional supplement due to the myriad of health benefits available from this nutritionally packed super food.

Wheatgrass is the young grass stage of grain plants, taken just after sprouting and is packed with a number of healthy nutrients including vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Wheatgrass also has a high content of chlorophyll which has been shown to prevent the growth and spread of unfriendly bacteria.

Chlorophyll is similar in structure to Haemoglobin therefore it has been shown to increase the oxygen carrying capabilities of the blood. Chlorophyll breaks down carbon dioxide and releases oxygen. Oxygenated blood can provide numerous health benefits including increased energy, improved brain function and extra defences against unhealthy toxins. Chlorophyll also acts as a powerful anti-oxidant that neutralises toxins in the body by purifying blood and cleansing the cells helping the body to reduce the effects of harmful toxins and free radicals. This can result in the reduced likelihood of various illnesses and ailments including cancer and heart disease.

Due to the high amino acid content in Wheatgrass, it is also a great tool for building protein and supporting the growth of new tissue

Suggested Use

Add 150-250ml of water, juice or any other beverage into our shaker. Then add 2 heaped MP small scoops (4g), shake and consume. Consume one to three servings per day.

Wheatgrass Powder should be gradually introduced to the diet so the body can get used to any detoxification reaction.

    Took one scoop with 400 ml water every morning consistently for a month and felt the effects very quickly - I had far more energy and my digestive system was in far better condition. Taste-wise, it is pretty bad at first, but after about a week I could drink it reasonably comfortably without having to down it like I did at first.

    Great product, taste is awful but you do get used to it. When i first started taking it i hated the taste. Now i can increase the dose and drink it down with a pint of water easy. Great product for overall health, especially in the winter time!

    I have been using this for a week, and after being chronically tired all summer I am starting to notice I have more energy. It tastes awful as it would from anywhere, however drank quickly its bearable. I would recommend this product, and it appears to be a good price on this site.

    I bought some of this alongside Barley grass a few months ago. I cannot speak for the efficacy of these powders as I usually eat a diverse amount of good food anyway, and they seem to be for general good health anyway without touching on any specific areas of health. I have tried many different bad tasting supplements over the past few years because I thought they were healthy, but this is one that I had to give up on because I can't face it. I had it every day with orange juice and barley grass for about a month and it never got any better or easier on the tastebuds. The consistency when mixed is usually very thick, so it generally requires blending, although a good stir will probably work with larger quantites of liquid. If you've tried wheeatgrass before and can handle the taste then myprotein's stuff seems to be of good quality, it's organic 100% wheatgrass. One thing for sure though, if this is your first time I would definetely recommend only going for 100g and not getting stuck with 500g of the stuff.

    I've been using wheatgrass for 2 years now and having read up about it generally I hope and feel it is doing me some good. this is the first time I have purchased wheatgrass from Myprotein, so I hoping it is up to standard. I am sure it will be. Price is right compared to other places I have purchased from.

    Well obviously it doesnt taste that nice seeing as it is wheat grass, but as you take it more often the taste doesnt seem as bad, you just have to think of the positive effects this will have on your body

    As i suspected it tasted like crap but im not too bothered about it so i gave it 4.5 stars, i bought it for the benifits it would bring to my body, started using it today so i cant really say much else but everyone else seems to have something good to say about it so give it a try you cant fault the price!

    I'm on a crusade to increase the alkalinity of my body, this powder definately is helping... It mixes fairly easily , I have it with water.. the taste is fine... no artificial flavours or sweetners required... this is nature at its best.. i definately feel more energy after a glass .. try it for breakfast..

    I'm very happy with this product, using it 1-2 times daily, quite tasteless but has good effects. Its nothing magical however its nice to know your getting vitimins and enzymes whilst also increasing protein sythn, i take with taurine (1-2gs) i've had amazing sleep. its worth it.
