Overview

Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) come from a specific class of fatty acids that are dealt with by your body much like carbohydrates.

Most fats are broken down in the intestine and reformed so that they can be transported in the blood. But MCTs are absorbed intact and taken to the liver, where they are used directly for energy. This means MCTs can provide an increase in calorie consumption, energy production and weight gain.

MCTs contain around 8 calories per gram, twice that of carbohydrates, making them a great source of energy. And because this energy is easily used by the body, it can potentially offer muscle sparing properties by burning the MCTs before protein or carbohydrates.

Lastly, only a tiny percent of MCTs are stored as fat. So, if you are looking to lose weight MCTs make an ideal supplement to provide you with energy that won't settle as body fat, unlike carbohydrates.

Suggested Use

Add 150-200ml of water or fruit juice into our shaker. Then add five MP small scoops (10g), shake and consume. Use daily as required. Alternatively add to your existing sports supplements.

    Well I wasn't expecting that... this tastes gorgeous! Mix with a little water and it's like cream, almost melted Mr Whippy. Bought for easily absorbed calories due to illness but coming back for more because it's so nice.
