Overview

Our new and improved Goat Whey Protein now contains a massive 80% protein content, making it one of the best Goat Whey supplements on the market.

Goat Whey Protein Concentrate is an excellent alternative to bovine whey protein offering an impressive 80% protein content. Like bovine derived milk, the two major proteins in goat’s milk are casein and whey. Unfortunately, some people are allergic to a specific casein protein found in bovine milk, however this is absent in goat’s milk which has prompted the recent development of goat’s whey protein powders.

The casein protein found in goat’s milk is easier for the human digestive system to digest when compared to bovine milk meaning it can pass through the digestive system much quicker. This makes our Goat Whey Protein an excellent supplement for all users both before and after exercise as it results in a fast delivery of amino acids to the fatigued muscles. The cholesterol in goat’s whey is vastly more digestible than bovine whey, making it more usable by the body. Cholesterol is needed for a huge number of bodily functions including the production of growth promoting compounds. This makes Goat Whey Protein a great tool in the battle to promote lean growth and exercise recovery.

Goat Whey Protein is also high in vitamins and minerals with an excellent amino acid profile. It also promotes a more alkaline environment when consumed when compared to the acidic reaction of bovine protein, making it very similar in structure to human milk.
Goat Whey Protein is sourced from goats which are not subject to pesticides, herbicides or antibiotics. Unlike most goat milk products, our Goat Whey Protein has a neutral taste comparable to that of bovine protein powders.

The protein fractions are: 60% Beta lactoglobulin, 24% Alpha lactalbumin, 4% Bovine serum albumin, 7.5% Immunoglobulin G.
The amino acid profile can be found at the bottom of the page under 'Certificates'.

I love this. Just started using it as food sensitivities mean I have to rotate my proteins - hemp, pea and brown rice. One scoop of the goat's whey I find a lot more filling than the other three. It tastes nice and creamy. I have this with vanilla powder, chia, sunflower seeds and kefir and it is great pre-workout!

I have been using this Goats Whey for about 6 weeks as a top up for my protein intake, i usually take it after a workout and i prefer it to the normal myprotein protein whey products, i just feel better after drinking it and not as bloated. I mix it in a tall jug with a hand blender, eat blends easily, i mix it with sugar/agarve free almond milk or coconut milk/water, it tastes great like this, although sometimes i add a little vanilla if i use the almond milk. If i take it as a general protein top up i sometimes add, blueberries/raspberries etc. Its quite a versatile whey and unless something better and cheaper comes along i will carry on using it.

Intolerant to cow dairy, tastes ok when mixed with nesquik not tired without guess it’s the same as goats milk with that slight bitter after taste. I have the MP Max Blender Bottle shacker with the ball I mix one large scoop with 100ml of water completely lump free and it’s not thick. Very good after a workout.
  • Goes well with which Myprotein products:
    nesquik choc and strawberry

This tastes & smells creamer than whey concentrate, which is my normal staple. This is easier to digest being goats whey (bovine whey has a different make up to human milk whereas goat & sheep’s milk is more similar) It has less protein than whey concentrate but this may be outweighed by better adsorption, so that follows for uptake of amino acids as well being they make up the protein. Fat is higher as is whey concentrate higher in fat than whey isolate. This can be a bit of a red herring as the fat contains vital nutrients such as CLA which helps with fat loss. Also isolates are not whole as the name suggests which effects not only nutrient loss along with lowering certain amino acid content. Remember isolates gram for gram will contain more protein & less fat because it is whey concentrate that has been processed further to reduce fat content, so each gram will have more protein replacing the weight that the fat took up. This on paper looks great & is still a good product which might have is place to a bodybuilder cutting up, but for general protein intake & health i feel that a concentrate is superior, cheaper, better tasting & has more nutrients & closer to a whole food. So following that a goat or sheep whey concentrate should have an advantage in that it is easier to digest & adsorb.

I don't agree with the comment abou this mixing well. It is incredibly sticky stuff, and unlike bovine whey which dissipates beautifully, this just clumps together into lumps of sticky gloop. It virtually tasteless though, which is great. It does however, smell awful, like a funky goat's cheese.

I've been waiting forever for goats whey and finally its here! Due to an allergy to cows milk normal whey is off the menu so i've been chugging down lumpy (foul tasting) egg white powder, switched to this now, faster absorbing than egg white and a whole lot better tasting! Only negative the low protein content and high carb content, compared to normal whey - hopefully MP can improve this somehow?? While we're at it, how about a bulk discount, for a 5 kg bag?? Final note, mix this 50/50 with egg white powder and it disguises the taste of the egg white and eliminates the lumps somehow, and the 2 mixed together will give a great hit of protein post workout.

    oats, maltodextrin

Just like normal whey really. Neutral taste, mixes well. Tried as an alternative as im intolerant to cow dairy, and haven't had any problems.
  • Goes well with which Myprotein products:
    Banana smoothie, on its own...
