    Overview

Ginkgo Biloba has been the subject of a huge number of scientific studies that have reported positive effects in a wide range of health areas. As a rich source of bio-flavonoids, Ginkgo has the potential to help maintain blood vessel structure and overall blood flow around the body. Increased blood flow to the brain can result in increased memory and cognitive function, therefore Ginkgo is often recommended to the elderly in the fight against cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer’s and senile dementia.

Ginkgo is among the oldest living plant species on earth and has been used extensively as a medicinal tool worldwide for centuries. Our Ginkgo is a high strength extract, standardised to 24% Ginkgo Flavoglycosides and 6% Terpene Lactones.

Scientists believe that ginkgo supports circulatory health, thereby aiding blood flow to the brain and extremities. In general, a healthy circulatory system promotes the delivery of oxygen and nutrients (like glucose) to the body's cells. As an antioxidant, Ginkgo mops up free radicals and aids in cell maintenance.

    Key Benefits

Well, I ordered this for the first time just over a week ago, I have had it everyday as recommended and honestly, there isn't anything that has a more powerful taste than this. I am usually very good at drinking / eating foul tasting things, but this one, you can smell it outside of the packet without opening it. I don't buy any all-in-one powders, I mix all my supplements myself and not all powders come with neutral taste this is defiantly one of those. It has a very powerful taste which can't be masked by anything (i have tried so far), however what I have found is choco powder does mix well with this taste to make it slightly better. There is quite a mild long lasting aftertaste which isn't too bad, however it does remind you of the taste when you drunk it. I think the best way to take this supplement is directly on to the tongue followed by a gulp of water. You might taste it a little but at least you don't have to deal with the taste for your entire shake. I have only been using it a week so I can't really comment on exactly how effective it is.

Hi, Ok, tastes disgusting and similar to rhodiola powder which also tastes disgusting leaves a powdery feeling in your mouth. On the up side the effects are noticable, for me between 500-1000mg. I take this with 500mg of green tea extract. I don't think there is anyway to mask the taste of gingko as i have tried stevia, honey and xylitol which have little effect, the gingko is too overpowering. But if you can get by the taste the product does work.

My first mug (which was about 500mg of green tea extract and 500mg of ginkgo) didn't taste that good - even though it was still endurable, but if you put in the suggested amount - about 200mg - this is actually pretty good, especially mixed with the aforementioned green tea extract..

this is the worst tasting thing i have ever experienced...it really is outrageously bad. mixing it with v8 vegetable juice works well...and some smoothes but it will over power anything so drink it down quick!

I find this product is most drinkable in a mug of hot water. I have mine with green tea extract which gives a good combination of taste and effect. Ginkgo Biloba extract is definitely one of those supplements you can 'feel' working. It gives you a nice tingling in your head, which when combined with green tea extract gives you a really focussed and alert but mellow feeling.I take up to a quarter teaspoon per large mug of boiling water.

Mixed mine with creatine ethyl ester. Felt a tingling in my head.... felt really focused. Brilliant stuff. Would say slightly represses hunger though. Could taste it but was ok! Can't any one nack slightly bitter tastes!

I've always been a big fan of this stuff capped, in terms of a nootropic and general health tonic. However, its quite expensive, so i thought the powder stuff would be more economical. Statred using it a few days ago, so heres my review:\r\n\r\nPRO's:\r\n\r\n Great value for money, and very effective as a cognitive enhancer. Is also antioxidant and lowers blood pressure\r\n\r\nPRO + CON\r\n\r\n Extremely potent for very small amount. Why is this a con as well? If you take too much, your head will be buzzing like crazy for hours. I took only half a teaspoon first time, and i was up until 3pm the following morning cos i couldnt sleep!\r\n\r\nCON's:\r\n\r\n Tastes absolutely vile, and the aftertaste lasts for ages. You will definately want to cap these, or use a flavouring system if you add them to your shakes.\r\n\r\nOverall verdict: Great stuff!
