Pizza Bagels 4 Ways | Quick Recipes On A Budget

Who doesn’t love pizza and bagels? Well, now you can have both in one quick, easy and budget-friendly meal. And the bonus? They're all high in protein, so they're perfect for post-workout or when you're looking for that protein fix. Here are our 4 favourite pizza bagel recipes.

 

#1: Pepperoni Pizza Bagel

Hands up who loves pepperoni pizza? Yup, we thought so. Here’s the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 High Protein Bagel
  • 2 tbsp. Marinara
  • 30 g High Protein Cheese
  • 2-4 Sliced Mushroom
  • Handful Slices Pepperoni

Instructions

1.

Slice bagel in half horizontally and grill on medium for 1-2 minutes until golden.

2.

Add marinara, High Protein Cheese and pepperoni, and grill for a further 4-5 minutes. Enjoy straight away.

#2: Fajita Pizza Bagel

Because FAJITAS and PIZZA.

Ingredients

  • 1 x High Protein Bagel
  • 2 tbsp. marinara
  • 30g High Protein Cheese
  • ½ tsp. rapeseed oil (or your preferred frying oil)
  • 1 chicken breast (diced)
  • ½ red bell pepper (cut into thin slices)
  • ½ red onion (cut into thin slices)
  • 1 tbsp. fajita spice
  • Handful pickled jalapeño slices

Method

1. Pan fry diced chicken on a medium heat for 8-10 minutes, or until cooked through. Add sliced pepper and onion and fajita spice, and fry for a further 3-4 minutes until soft.

2. While waiting, slice bagel in half horizontally and grill on medium for 1-2 minutes until golden.

3. Add marinara and High Protein Cheese and grill for a further 4-5 minutes.

4. Top with chicken, onion and pepper mixture and pickled jalapeño slices. Enjoy straight away.

#3: Neapolitan Pizza Bagel

This Neapolitan pizza bagel will have you dreaming you’re in sunny Naples, looking out to the sea. You’re probably not, but this is the next best thing.

Ingredients

Method

1. Slice bagel in half horizontally and grill on medium for 1-2 minutes until golden.

2. Add marinara and High Protein Cheese and grill for a further 4-5 minutes.

3. Top with fresh basil and season with salt and pepper. Enjoy straight away.

#4: Fiorentina Pizza Bagel

Or, as we like to call it, EGG-IN-THE-HOLE pizza bagel. Oh yes.

Ingredients

Method

1. Slice bagel in half horizontally and grill, inner side up, on medium for 1-2 minutes until golden.

2. Place into a frying pan on a medium heat, toasted side up. Spread over marinara and crack the eggs on top of the bagels, so that the yolk is covering the centre.

3. Add High Protein Cheese, sliced mushroom and spinach leaves and place a lid on top of the pan. Cook for around 4-5 minutes, or until your eggs are how you like them.

4. Season with salt and pepper. Enjoy straight away.
