Kirk’s love of health and fitness began at a very young age when he would play any sport possible from soccer and athletics to pretty much anything that involved running around with friends. However, it was soccer where he quickly excelled and was his first true sporting love. He dreamt of becoming a professional soccer player and was overjoyed when he signed as a young professional for Coventry City FC. It was during this time that Kirk was first introduced to the gym and after a mixture of recurring injuries, lack of opportunities and quite simply not being good enough his football dream was ended.
Whilst working as a plumber in 2009 Kirk entered the ‘Men’s Health Cover Model Competition’ but was devastated after a mishap meant he wasn’t informed he had made the final. In 2010 Kirk decided to enter the competition again and gained the accolade many believe he deserved 12 months earlier. Kirk has since graced the front covers of numerous publications and books.
Moving into Personal Training was a natural progression for Kirk. The skills he has learnt from some of the best coaches in the world from both his soccer days, and now the fitness industry, are invaluable for his work as a personal trainer and fitness coach.
If ever there was a job that allows me to utilise my passion, energy and skills as a person to the complete maximum then this is it. I love motivating people, getting into the mindset of people, helping their body improve and making a difference every day. I push hard, but get results. Focus on one step at time, always believe and enjoy the journey!
