Nice rice for the price; will suffice my precise protein intake, but my advice is to use a bit of spice.
Wow - I love this stuff! It's fantastic if you're on a low carb diet! I love having rice and pasta with meals but can't afford the carbs so I have these 'pretend' carbs instead - lol :-) They taste similar to the real thing but give you a massive dose of protein instead of carbs = WIN WIN!!! All the taste of carbs with no guilt and a big dose of protein to boot! MyProtein you have excelled yourselves this time! :-)
For me, rice is rice. No rice tastes amazing and this rice tasted just as good as any other rice I've made for myself. Makes sense to me to buy protein rice as it's another source of protein in the diet that I otherwise wouldn't have had. Found it to be quite filling too which can only be a positive thing.
Made this today, took slightly less time than recommended, but I like rice with a little bite. Went great with keto beef curry.Goes Well With:curry
The rice cooks really well and tastes good when it's on its own but can be added to anything and will complement it perfectly. Goes Well With:Everything
After the gym last night I decided to use my Protein rice and this goes well with chicken breast. I was really amazed of how nice it was and it's a source of food that you can eat without feeling too full. I am going to continue using this with other meats and maybe adding veg.
The name of it pretty much gives it away, ideal for consuming in a low carb diet, I usually have my canes before my workout which is breakfast and lunch so dinner I cut the carbs as much as i can and this and this makes it easier to have a meal rather than just meat and vegetables, i prefer this to normal rice now :) good buy ! Goes Well With:Chicken, beef, prawn, vegetables, turkey mince, can make a fresh homemade healthy curry, rice stir fry, homemade chilli con carne
Rice itself doesn't have too much taste. looks very interesting though :) easy to cook and that lack of flavour can be an advantage because it works great with any meat with veggies (my typical lunch). Keeps you full but not floated. Very good stuffGoes Well With:any veggies and meat
This is easy to use no mess no straining just put packet in boiling water job doneGoes Well With:Curry bolognase sweetcorn and peas and you can do egg fried rice as well
Takes on the flavour of whatever you like, just like "normal" rice! However, the carb count is considerably lower, making it great, not only for building protein levels but for diabetes patients who must keep their carb intake under control. Goes Well With:Curry, anything saucy...
Bought this to replace normal rice in my main meals. Easy and fast to cook. Goes Well With:All rice dishes and salads
Really good texture when cooked and you get a really decent serving. Bags are pre portioned and you cook in the bag so it's really convenient especially if you can't be bothered to meal prep that day. It doesn't feel like rice as such, but tastes great and good amount of protein. Worth it for the macrosGoes Well With:Roast veggies, chicken or quorn chicken, stir fry
I've been on low carb diet and decided to try this protein rice out and it is great! Low carb, high protein. The taste is okay, it's not bad I add spice to help with that but with 30g protein overall it's a winGoes Well With:Chicken, fish, spices
bought this rice as a way to cut out high carb filled food in my diet, but still needed something to keep me filled up when I would usually eat something carby and it's actually really nice, doesn't really have a taste, and more the texture of noodles (which I like) it will definitely be a regular on my shopping list.Goes Well With:curry, chicken, fish, veggies
Good taste and a nice warm source of protein. But it always creates foam while cooking making my cooker dirty :/ Also the bags are not the best, rice kinda sticks on making it hard to put it out entirely. Goes Well With:normal rice
Not too bad. As I was looking for something extra to go with chicken etc, thought I would try this and the pasta. added decent protein and didn't taste bad at all. Goes Well With:Chicken and peppers
This item isn't as bad as it first looked when I opened the box. Looks wise, once cooked, it's almost like shredded noodles. It doesn't exactly taste of rice (but then rice doesn't really taste of much lol) but it does the job of not feeling like something is missing when having a curry for example.Goes Well With:Curry, Chilli
This product is great for adding extra protein and cutting the usual carbs from normal rice. sadly the package must have been battered abouit though as the rice inside was broken into almost a powder.Goes Well With:spicy chicken
Easy to make and quicker then brown rice but texture and taste is poor.
This protein rice helps me hit my macros in the evening, when I'm low in protein and have no more carbs to play with. They taste similar to the real thing, with the benefit of less carbs and MORE protein!
