What is Protein Rice?
Protein Rice is a high protein food that can be added to certain dishes to increase the protein content or replace other high carbohydrate based foods. Protein Rice is easy to cook (preparation time approximately 9 minutes) and will add a new element to your meals replacing normal rice which is higher in carbohydrates and lower in protein.

Who is Protein Rice Suitable for?
Protein Rice is ideal for anyone looking for a high protein food to accompany their meals.
1 - Bring to boil 1 Litre of slightly salted water.
2 - Dip the rice pouch into the water.
3 - Cook for 9-12 minutes, according to your taste preference.
4 - Remove from pan and drain.
5 - Open the pouch and serve.
Suggested serving: Try adding some crushed garlic, chilli and ginger to improve the flavour. alternatively, add to chicken dishes or some kind of sauce.

Nice rice for the price; will suffice my precise protein intake, but my advice is to use a bit of spice.
Wow - I love this stuff! It's fantastic if you're on a low carb diet! I love having rice and pasta with meals but can't afford the carbs so I have these 'pretend' carbs instead - lol :-) They taste similar to the real thing but give you a massive dose of protein instead of carbs = WIN WIN!!! All the taste of carbs with no guilt and a big dose of protein to boot! MyProtein you have excelled yourselves this time! :-)
For me, rice is rice. No rice tastes amazing and this rice tasted just as good as any other rice I've made for myself. Makes sense to me to buy protein rice as it's another source of protein in the diet that I otherwise wouldn't have had. Found it to be quite filling too which can only be a positive thing.
After the gym last night I decided to use my Protein rice and this goes well with chicken breast. I was really amazed of how nice it was and it's a source of food that you can eat without feeling too full. I am going to continue using this with other meats and maybe adding veg.
Tastes basically just like real rice, meaning no specific taste, but great as a side-dish without the extra carbs. Only drawback is it's difficult to get all the rice from the bag once it's cooked (but the same could probably be said for regular rice).Goes Well With:All kinds of meat & fish, sauces, etc.
I tried it the firts 30 minute i received the order. It is a good substitute for rice (or pasta i bought it only) As there are days where the volume is the point , you feel fuelled with more protein less carbs without the guilt of eat more carbs !!! i usually cook it and then add really rice to make a good portion of rice. Additionally, i found the portion really helpfull , you can take with you easily.
Really good product, i have now found an alternative to get more protein within each meal.
I was pleasantly surprised at how much the 'rice' bulks up and how filling it was - all for 103 calories. However, I use the term 'rice' quite liberally! I ordered this and the protein pasta, and to be honest, there seemed to be very little difference except for the shape. It doesn't quite have the texture/taste of rice, but I love the fact that the bags are individually portioned to stop me going overboard on a carb-fest, and it allows you to feel a little fuller without any guilt. Good protein content, filling and tasty (just not much like rice). Will buy again - is now a cupboard staple item.
Works well, But I am not to keen on the taste. I threw it in a low fat curry and it tasted okay with that!
This effective meal is great choice if you are looking for high protein easy to cook dinner. I sometimes add tbsp of tomato sauce or other vegetables sauce. Highly recommended.
Like this product , it been made from soy etc , feel the taste of soy ,but the taste is good and its very healthy , good price and good quality and easy to cook .Good for cutting period, high in protein and low in carbs , got 30 grams of protein in only 50 gram sachet and 10 grams of carbs , very good product !
I bought the Protein Rice just to see what it's like and I'm actually quite impressed. I didn't think it would even compare to the rice I normally eat, but it goes just as well if not better. I'll definitely be buying again.
