Very excited to buy the Golden Syrup flavour as i was craving a good morning treat. Holy Christ this is sugary! For some I'm sure its fine but be warned! If you like things like IRN BRU, Flying Saucers and Handballing Sugar cubes into your mouth then this is the stuff for you.. If not then maybe go unflavoured or chocolate... *Note i do not eat sugar, nor add it to any food/drink*Goes Well With:IRN BRU, Strawberry Laces, ADHD & Sunny D....
great taste, quick and easy to make in the mornings, mixability could be better with a whisk or nutri bullet etc i just used a fork so little bit lumpy but didnt affect taste or cooking, will definitely buy again.
After being unsure whether to try this product i would definately recommend it! Light and fluffy pancakes that taste great
These pancakes taste incredible! I have bought the golden syrup and the maple syrup pancakes and both taste amazing. Almost feel guilty, like i'm not eating something really fatty and full of sugar because they taste so good! They are however very very sweet, which i don't mind, but i could see them being too sweet for some peoples taste. The first few times i tried mixing and frying the pancakes turned into a disaster, i just could not get them to fry properly but after trying different heats on my hob and ratios of powder to milk/water i eventually got it right and they turned out great. The best thing is the taste great mixed with water, which i would not expect but they hardly taste any different than mixed with milk. (Less calories and fat which is always a bonus). I also add some fruit, usually banana, on to the pancakes and use Walden Farms caramel syrup as well which is great because its calorie free. Love these pancakes, will definitely be buying more and trying the chocolate flavoured ones!
Great product. The pancakes taste great, especially Chocolate flavour. The Maple Syrup flavour is a bit to sweet for my taste so I would recommend mixing it with Unflavoured. Unflavoured are also great but need some additions to make them perfect. When ready add Cottage cheese or low fat Greek yoghurt mixed with MP Impact Whey Deluxe (to add protein and flavour). Amazing taste and a whole lot of protein :)Goes Well With:Low fat milk for pancake mix. Cottage cheese / low fat Greek yoghurt with MP impact whey deluxe.
As a pancake obsessive and bodybuilder preparing for a competition, this mix has been amazing. Great taste, easy made and generally very impressive. Thank you MyProtein!!!Goes Well With:Coffee
As others have said, it takes a while to find the perfect consistency and cooking style. The mix seems more aimed at Amercian style pancakes than crepes given that it is quite thick and airy. However, with practice you can make crepes that just about hold together when tossing. I use 300ml skimmed milk and three scoops of powder. That makes about four large, thick pancakes. I found the unflavoured mix to taste quite eggy - tolerably so, but I had to add a lot of other stuff (peanut butter etc) to mask the taste. The golden syrup flavour was better, and I drown them in lemon juice for a pleasant, fast, high protein meal.
I have the chocolate ones and I Love love love them!!!! Everytime I've tried protein pancakes I can never find a recipe that works. No more, These are gorgeous! Lovely texture, not rubbery like some. Not too sweet so I can add a banana and a drop of honey and they cook really well. SO happy so thanks myprotein!!! 😃
I bought the maple syrup one , it's nothing like cooking a normal pancake and if you cook it too much it gets kinda chewy , but after 3 attempts I got a nice one ! Maple syrup was sweet but I have a sweet tooth , gonna love eating these for breakfast after eating egg whites and oats for so long !!!
I was dubious when ordering these but was swayed by the reviews. Was really pleased, I struggle with breakfast normally but this has given me a decent change from porridge/eggs. It does require a bit of technique and precision, my first ones looked like heavy omelettes and still dont resemble the picture above but cant fault the nutrition stats or taste!
