As a massive foodie this mid morning meal really hits the spot. 100% luxury. At first i didn't really think much of the pancake mix but with my experience as a chef I decided to persist and managed to perfect it! Here's how: 50g Pancake Mix (I use the maple syrup) 125ml water (this may look a bit thin when added but trust me on this ;) ) Optional: Dried/fresh fruit and/or nuts (make sure you cut the fruit up into little bits and crumble the nuts) 15g Mascapone 25ml Apro Hazelnut milk Heat a non stick pan to hot/very hotBreak down any lumps in the pancake powder with the whisk before adding the water. There is no need for any oil/butter/spray oil, they will not stick. Pour in the water all at once and whisk for say 30 seconds until smooth. Pour half of the mix into the pan evenly (making sure the pan is flat). Sprinkle on half of your prepared nuts and/or fruit. Now here's the important bit: make sure you only cook the first side jsut to the point where it starts to pubble and theres still a little liquid ontop. Now using a spatula, carefully flip it over. The pancake is now 90% cooked. Cook the second side now for literally a few second, this way the its still going to be nice and moist inside as the pancake has still maintained it's moisture. Repeat again for the second pancake. Now I like to mix the mascapone and hazelnut milk until it starts to froth. Then pour over the top (this makes the pancake super moist). Enjoy guys, you will not regret buying this.Goes Well With:Fresh/Dried Fruit Nuts
Like all pancakes, the first couple you make you always chuck away and it's nodifferent here. Found the first one far too thick, added a bit extra water and then used a smaller frying pan and boom, perfection! A lot more filling than I thought so unless you're Dwayne Johnson then go easy with the portionsGoes Well With:Chocolate Peanut butter, almonds
I have the maple syrup flavor pancake mix and it is amazing! Especially if you have a sweet tooth. The only downfall is that they might be a bit TOO sweet. I admit that I get a bit bored with my entirely savory diet and these hit the spot! I couldn't have ate another sweet thing all day! Goes Well With:Chopped banana in the mixture - IT CARAMELIZES!
Great product like the taste but needs to be made very thin
I bought the small pack of chocolate and golden syrup to try although I wasn't expecting too much after reading the reviews about them being lumpy and hard to cook. I tried the golden syrup first using 125ml water with 50g in my breville active blend, it blended really well and I managed to get two large pancakes out of it, they cooked within a few minutes and didn't stick or fall apart. When I tasted them I was amazed they were so tasty, the golden syrup is very sweet but still delicious. I tried the chocolate the following day and it was just as easy to cook, it is not really chocolately but just right for pancakes. The next day I tried adding an egg to the mixture and it makes it even more soft and fluffy. I have just ordered the large bags and also the maple syrup to try. It is very filling, full of protein and low in calories. This is definitely my new breakfast and after workout treat.
I bought the Maple Syrup flavour. The powder is fairly easy to mix but you have to work it well to avoid lumps. The pancakes cook really quick, which is excellent at breakfast time. Their taste is quite sweet so anything you spread on them should not add any more sugar. My Protein crunchy almond butter is my favourite topping, but they are excellent on their own too. Goes Well With:Unsweetened almond butter.
I can't understand why people are rating these low?! The only thing that requires a bit of thought is that they mix with lumps sometimes. Solution: pour the mixture into a blender, blend for 30 seconds, done. Perfectly smooth mixture with no lumps. To stop it sticking I use some 1 cal. fry light spray (no problems) peals of the pan easy. I use about 4 sprays per pancake to ensure it doesn't stick (can't moan at 4 extra calories). They cook in about 3 minutes and the only addition I make to the recipe is a chopped banana on top! I have the golden syrup flavoured pancakes and when I made them I was a bit sceptical about the taste, however when I tried one I was pleasantly surprised! They tasted amazing! I couldn't stop eating them! The standard mix of 50g to 150ml of milk was a bit thick for me so I added 200ml of milk and it made 4 small and thick pancakes. Product is very simple to use and tastes great! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be purchasing again!Goes Well With:Chopped Banana
golden syrup flavor is nasty all I can taste is artificial flavor and sweeteners they should do this in a unflavored option and you can add your own flavor of choice Goes Well With:nothing
They taste amazing. They keep me filled up for hours. They're REALLY easy to make. If you want them extra fluffy - add an egg. I'm just going to keep buying them. Have tried all the flavours and love them all.
As someone who often misses breakfast this give me something quick, easy and fulfilling to eat in less than 5 mins and is obviously much better for you than a stop en-route to the office. Will definitely be re ordering, I purchased the Golden Syrup version, yes it is sweet but hey it is a pancake after all....
Very excellent taste, ordering several times, never disappointed
These little ditty's taste amazing. I bought the standard mix and used unsweetened Almond Milk to blend with. Have started adding Cinnamon and 100% Raw Cacao into the mix. Top it off with some Blueberries and 100% Peanut Butter. Works a treat!Goes Well With:Blueberries. 100% Raw Cocoa. 100% Peanut Butter.
Very happy I bought these! Not only a relatively high level of protein, but low carbs, meaning I can add what I want without feeling overly guilty. I like to either enjoy as a breakfast or as a pudding/snack to curb a sweet tooth. It took a few attempts to perfect, but now its very quick to create a high protein meal or snack. I noticed a few lumps in the shaker I used, but was unable to tell once cooked. Goes Well With:Bananas and maple syrup MyProtein smooth peanut butter
Bought MP's Maple Syrup flavour. Very very tasty! Not too sweet. Just right and nice and moist too.Tried this pancake mix because I was getting tried of protein bars and wanted something for work that had good ingredients and nutritional profile. Plus it's very cheap. This has twice the protein content of most bars and is very filling compared to endlessly having protein shakes. Very easy to make either in the morning or the night before and put it in the fridge. Vanilla would be a great flavour to introduce MP! :)Goes Well With:Omega Balance :)
Recently bought these and they are already my new favourite breakfast! Bought the unflavoured version - I have 1.5 scoops with 100ml almond milk and that makes 2 good size pancakes (I like them slightly thicker!). I mixed it in a shaker with a ball and it mixed pretty well, although there were still a few lumps left. I found them so easy and quick to cook!! I don't think i'd like to eat the plain ones by themselves, but when you have them with fruit etc they taste sooooo good! They are really fluffy too. And they are SO FILLING! If I have these for breakfast I know I won't be hungry again until lunch. Goes Well With:Fruit, peanut butter, honey, maple syrup
So easy to do it and getting 20gr of protein just like that. Love this product totally!!! Shame didn't get more!
Love these pancakes. Tried the unflavoured one at first, which were ok but found had to add toppings to them for added taste. Following this I bought the maple syrup ones and they taste so good! I don't need to put anything on them, although I am not sure of the nutrition value for these ones. They mix really well and if you only cook just for a minute each side they do not go dry. Excellent for breakfast as gives you a feeling of fullness of protein and carbs, or as an after dinner treat if you have a sweet tooth but don't want to eat something unhealthy! Will continue to buy these, would love the nutrition info for them!Goes Well With:Honey, Banana
Great value pancakes, excellent macros. Perfect protein breakfast!
I got maple syrup flavour and these are the absolute BOMB. Had chocolate before but these are way better. I think they mix okay too.. I find 125ml of water is best and you've got to be patient when cooking them to keep them from sticking or tearing but that's pancakes!Goes Well With:Cinnamon & calorie free pancake syrup
The best protein pancakes I have tried. Taste better, mixes better and cooks better than any others I have tried
These pancakes are delicious! I had the golden syrup flavour and could eat these all day. l definitely be purchasing again.
Highly recommend this product. Took a little bit of practise to get right but now I've mastered the art they come out perfect!!! A little small though I will admit but other wise great taste great texture for protein pancakes. Overall really good I'm about to order my next batch of this stuff.Goes Well With:Syrup, honey, strawberries, blueberries, yogurt....anything you want to put with them to be honest.
Love this product..... Quite sweet but nice with some natural yoghurt :)
This pancake mix is excellent to go with your breakfast or as a mid morning snack. I have tried various mixing methods and found just an extra 25ml of milk, and an egg goes well and makes 4-5 in a little egg pan. The maple syrup flavour is just right if you have a sweet tooth or if you prefer it sweeter I have found mixing a small amount of dark chocolate drops in the mix tatse amazing. Mixing isn't an issue as some have mentioned it mixes well in one of the shaker bottles, I will be buting again.Goes Well With:Dark Chocolate Bananas & Peanut Butter (MyProtein version)
Didn't think these would be much good, only threw them in as it discounted the rest of my order. Having tried them though I'm pleasantly surprised. They're really easy to do (50g is about 2 scoops, mix with about 120 ml milk) and taste great. The batter looked a little thin but once it was in the pan the pancakes actually came out nice and thick. Had it with a banana on the side and it kept me going for a while.
Unfortunately, the pancakes don't cook well at all. I followed the cooking instructions perfectly and they came out terrible. They aren't remotely fluffy and they stick to the pan like nothing I've ever cooked! I'm guessing it must be the flavouring which is somehow watery and incredibly sweet. I even tried using loads of oil which still didn't work and just made them worse. I regret buying 1kg now.Goes Well With:Yogurt and berries. Lots of them.
Am I the only one to struggle with the cooking. Anyone got tips as the pancake just stick to the pan Goes Well With:Lemon juice
-Taste is bland (Both chocolate and golden syrup) - If cooked full the texture becomes rubbery, I had to half cook mine so they're edible -Expensive for quantity
The protein content in this is great! I got the maple syrup and it tastes pretty nice also. The pancakes are nice and fluffy. It taken me a few attempts to make a really good pancake (around 2), but after that I became a pro! I prefer to add a bit of cinnamon and also an egg! I find that using this stuff without an egg requires a perfect water to mix ratio, or else things tend to screw up a bit. Read the instructions! Would definitely buy again.Goes Well With:An egg Cinnamon Zero calorie syrup
I bought the maple syrup flavour... They are extremely sweet... It's easy to make however I don't think I'll be buying again .. Didn't realise you only get 4 servings in the 200g bag. I think the pancakes I make with the vanilla soya isolate are much better in taste and better value for money. Goes Well With:A person who has an extremely sweet tooth...
These pancakes taste awesome! Super easy to make, though you have to keep your eye on them to make sure they turn out right! Gorgeous treat for breakfast after a tough work out, though they do take a while to cook nicely! Goes Well With:Scrambled eggs or mixed berries
I bought this as something easy to make for breakfast which it did not disappoint. I bought the chocolate flavour and I am not overly keen, I feel that it is a little bit too rich. It mixes well with both milk and water and has a nice consistency when cooked. I will be inclined to try again in a different flavour.Goes Well With:Fruit, Cream
They taste spot on. Easy to cook and mix. If you mix it in your shaker it makes it much easier to measure the mix, mix the batter and pour. Also tastes cracking straight from the shaker ;)
I absolutely love this product! I can't believe how much protein is in these pancakes... With virtually no carbs/fats! Amazing! I have maple flavour and wouldn't get any other. So impressed with this stuff! Tastes great mixed with water too, which allows me to save on calories whilst having a tasty treat whilst cutting! Goes Well With:Milk or water, butterscotch sauce and blueberries!
The texture is horrible. I would recommend that you only put 1 scoop and mix it with milk. Make then as thin as possible as 2 scoops with 150ml of water makes what looks like a slice of ham. It also feels like egg in your mouth, together with chocolate just puts you off. If you need protein, just make oats and add a protein shake.
The protein pancakes are very cheap and good value for money, they are easy to make and do not take much time which makes them fantastic for a high protein breakfast or snack. The product itself is very good but the flavour and the texture are not very nice, I bought the golden syrup flavour and while it tastes decent, the texture is horrible, it is very rubbery and chewy. Apart from that it is a good product Goes Well With:Great for breakfast.
Tastes aren't very strong but good overall product. All new members use code MP26870082 to get triple points on your order!
My frist order and probably a mistake with choosing flavour - Golden Syrup. This taste is sooo sweet that it makes the final pancake quite hard to eat. Next time I would definitely choose unflavoured mixture.Goes Well With:probably some syrups
If you follow the measurements accurately enough, the pancakes come out really well; better than others i've done myself. It is better with milk however, the maple syrup one had a great flavour, not too sweet. You get more protein from a portion or two than you do from a meal, so I guess they're not for pigging out on.Goes Well With:Peanut Butter
The first time I tried the pancakes I used the recipe on the back on the packet and it tasted awful. I then tried it in a different recipe I found online and it tastes amazing!
Good taste (additional sugar is not needed), great mixability and nutrition value. Definitly recommended
Awesome stuff, really like it! Good for a sugar fix, feels like a cheat food! I cant get mine to look like the ones on the photo but I dont care as long as it tastes good...
I went for the Golden Syrup flavour and love it! Its so quick to mix and cook, within 5 minutes you have a few tasty protein pancakes! I love them for a quick meal after my workout or even for a quick treat throughout the day. Now would like to try more flavours!!Goes Well With:On there own!! Or; Bananas, Berries, Nutella, Bacon...
At the time of ordering the MP pancake mix, I was on a repeating, two-day workout (upper body/lower body) at the gym, with one day's rest in-between. I was (and am continuing to) eat healthily, attempting to stick to a popular diet routine. I was missing the ability to eat pancakes as a *very* occasional breakfast treat, and I saw these - with their excellent reviews - and decided to give them a blast. I opted for the maple syrup flavour, and went for the 500g pouch (despite the pestering to "upgrade" during the checkout process). Delivery was quick, and I followed other user's helpful suggestions - I used a smoothie maker to mix the powder with skimmed milk, and I threw in a single medium egg. I used one squirt of sunflower oil Fry-Lite in the pan, and poured the mixture out to a medium thickness. Looking at the ingredients, they contain a reasonable whack of protein - I actually used less than the recommended amount of powder by a third, and still came out with three decent sized pancakes. The packet suggests 1.5 scoops (50g) per 150ml of milk - I went for 1 scoop per 150ml and one medium egg for added nutritional benefit. The pancakes cook as per "normal" pancakes - i.e. you need a LOW steady heat, and once bubbles start to appear, use a silicone spatula to flip them over. They don't need long (around 1 minute for the first side, maybe 30 seconds or so for the second side) but use your judgement. I had them plain, and they were great. The taste was slightly synthetic, but that's something I'm prepared to overlook for the benefits! Flour has been replaced by egg protein powder and ground oats, and there's no sugar - sweeteners only! The texture wasn't as robust as a regular pancake, and I wouldn't recommend doing them too thick, however they certainly filled a hole. The only unfortunate downside was a HORRENDOUS bout of stomach upset approximately 6 hours later. My other meals haven't varied at all, this was the only new addition to my diet, so I'm reasonably confident at pointing the finger at these being responsible. I haven't tried them again yet, but will do so and report back if there are any further issues! Over all, they're tasty and I recommend them. They could be marginally cheaper, but for a 500g pack you'll get at least 12 protein-packed pancakes from your purchase. Enjoy!Goes Well With:Calorie-free syrups, fruit, lemon juice
Perfect for my keto diet. Add sweetener and sugar free chocolate syrup to these. Satisfy my sweet tooth and enough protein to help with my muscle recovery. Can't fault them! Goes Well With:Sweetener Sugar free syrup
I'm not a big fan of protein shakes as the texture doesn't sit well with me. I was on the site recently and saw this pancake mix, I was a little sceptical but the flavour is spot on. 2 scoops with 100ml of water gets you 2 good sized and completely filling pancakes, tastes so good feels like you're cheating but safe in the knowledge you're getting 30grams of protein in at breakfast.Goes Well With:Blueberries,Bananas and Honey
Great breakfast mix, I got the chocolate flavour, will be buying again!
Great tasting and satisfies my sweet cravings! Use an electric whisk for a good smooth blend. Golden Syrup is a winner for flavour!
I ordered the maple syrup flavour and it tastes great just on there own, no added sugar or syrup needed, easy to mix and easy to cook. Definitely purchasing again!
After a sacrificial first batch to get the temperature, amount of oil and cooking time spot on I soon had the knack of making a decent pancake using this mix - as others have said, go for a think pancake rather than thick ones. Also found the low cal spray oils are not so good for this, you need an actual oil to get the pan ready for the mix. When mixing it seems the lumps will never quite go away completely, but I found that once given a light mix and thrown in to the pan they seemed to cook fine and disappeared. Pancakes themselves are tasty and filling, but the golden syrup flavour is a little too sweet for me, certainly has that classic golden syrup smell to it but the taste is a little too obviously artificial - if you can live with that then fine, if not then unsweetened is for you and add your own accompaniments. Goes Well With:Peanut butter, strawberries, blueberries
