As a massive foodie this mid morning meal really hits the spot. 100% luxury. At first i didn't really think much of the pancake mix but with my experience as a chef I decided to persist and managed to perfect it! Here's how: 50g Pancake Mix (I use the maple syrup) 125ml water (this may look a bit thin when added but trust me on this ;) ) Optional: Dried/fresh fruit and/or nuts (make sure you cut the fruit up into little bits and crumble the nuts) 15g Mascapone 25ml Apro Hazelnut milk Heat a non stick pan to hot/very hotBreak down any lumps in the pancake powder with the whisk before adding the water. There is no need for any oil/butter/spray oil, they will not stick. Pour in the water all at once and whisk for say 30 seconds until smooth. Pour half of the mix into the pan evenly (making sure the pan is flat). Sprinkle on half of your prepared nuts and/or fruit. Now here's the important bit: make sure you only cook the first side jsut to the point where it starts to pubble and theres still a little liquid ontop. Now using a spatula, carefully flip it over. The pancake is now 90% cooked. Cook the second side now for literally a few second, this way the its still going to be nice and moist inside as the pancake has still maintained it's moisture. Repeat again for the second pancake. Now I like to mix the mascapone and hazelnut milk until it starts to froth. Then pour over the top (this makes the pancake super moist). Enjoy guys, you will not regret buying this.Goes Well With:Fresh/Dried Fruit Nuts
Like all pancakes, the first couple you make you always chuck away and it's nodifferent here. Found the first one far too thick, added a bit extra water and then used a smaller frying pan and boom, perfection! A lot more filling than I thought so unless you're Dwayne Johnson then go easy with the portionsGoes Well With:Chocolate Peanut butter, almonds
I have the maple syrup flavor pancake mix and it is amazing! Especially if you have a sweet tooth. The only downfall is that they might be a bit TOO sweet. I admit that I get a bit bored with my entirely savory diet and these hit the spot! I couldn't have ate another sweet thing all day! Goes Well With:Chopped banana in the mixture - IT CARAMELIZES!
golden syrup flavor is nasty all I can taste is artificial flavor and sweeteners they should do this in a unflavored option and you can add your own flavor of choice Goes Well With:nothing
Great product like the taste but needs to be made very thin
I bought the Maple Syrup flavour. The powder is fairly easy to mix but you have to work it well to avoid lumps. The pancakes cook really quick, which is excellent at breakfast time. Their taste is quite sweet so anything you spread on them should not add any more sugar. My Protein crunchy almond butter is my favourite topping, but they are excellent on their own too. Goes Well With:Unsweetened almond butter.
I can't understand why people are rating these low?! The only thing that requires a bit of thought is that they mix with lumps sometimes. Solution: pour the mixture into a blender, blend for 30 seconds, done. Perfectly smooth mixture with no lumps. To stop it sticking I use some 1 cal. fry light spray (no problems) peals of the pan easy. I use about 4 sprays per pancake to ensure it doesn't stick (can't moan at 4 extra calories). They cook in about 3 minutes and the only addition I make to the recipe is a chopped banana on top! I have the golden syrup flavoured pancakes and when I made them I was a bit sceptical about the taste, however when I tried one I was pleasantly surprised! They tasted amazing! I couldn't stop eating them! The standard mix of 50g to 150ml of milk was a bit thick for me so I added 200ml of milk and it made 4 small and thick pancakes. Product is very simple to use and tastes great! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be purchasing again!Goes Well With:Chopped Banana
They taste amazing. They keep me filled up for hours. They're REALLY easy to make. If you want them extra fluffy - add an egg. I'm just going to keep buying them. Have tried all the flavours and love them all.
As someone who often misses breakfast this give me something quick, easy and fulfilling to eat in less than 5 mins and is obviously much better for you than a stop en-route to the office. Will definitely be re ordering, I purchased the Golden Syrup version, yes it is sweet but hey it is a pancake after all....
Very excellent taste, ordering several times, never disappointed
These little ditty's taste amazing. I bought the standard mix and used unsweetened Almond Milk to blend with. Have started adding Cinnamon and 100% Raw Cacao into the mix. Top it off with some Blueberries and 100% Peanut Butter. Works a treat!Goes Well With:Blueberries. 100% Raw Cocoa. 100% Peanut Butter.
Very happy I bought these! Not only a relatively high level of protein, but low carbs, meaning I can add what I want without feeling overly guilty. I like to either enjoy as a breakfast or as a pudding/snack to curb a sweet tooth. It took a few attempts to perfect, but now its very quick to create a high protein meal or snack. I noticed a few lumps in the shaker I used, but was unable to tell once cooked. Goes Well With:Bananas and maple syrup MyProtein smooth peanut butter
Bought MP's Maple Syrup flavour. Very very tasty! Not too sweet. Just right and nice and moist too.Tried this pancake mix because I was getting tried of protein bars and wanted something for work that had good ingredients and nutritional profile. Plus it's very cheap. This has twice the protein content of most bars and is very filling compared to endlessly having protein shakes. Very easy to make either in the morning or the night before and put it in the fridge. Vanilla would be a great flavour to introduce MP! :)Goes Well With:Omega Balance :)
Recently bought these and they are already my new favourite breakfast! Bought the unflavoured version - I have 1.5 scoops with 100ml almond milk and that makes 2 good size pancakes (I like them slightly thicker!). I mixed it in a shaker with a ball and it mixed pretty well, although there were still a few lumps left. I found them so easy and quick to cook!! I don't think i'd like to eat the plain ones by themselves, but when you have them with fruit etc they taste sooooo good! They are really fluffy too. And they are SO FILLING! If I have these for breakfast I know I won't be hungry again until lunch. Goes Well With:Fruit, peanut butter, honey, maple syrup
So easy to do it and getting 20gr of protein just like that. Love this product totally!!! Shame didn't get more!
Love these pancakes. Tried the unflavoured one at first, which were ok but found had to add toppings to them for added taste. Following this I bought the maple syrup ones and they taste so good! I don't need to put anything on them, although I am not sure of the nutrition value for these ones. They mix really well and if you only cook just for a minute each side they do not go dry. Excellent for breakfast as gives you a feeling of fullness of protein and carbs, or as an after dinner treat if you have a sweet tooth but don't want to eat something unhealthy! Will continue to buy these, would love the nutrition info for them!Goes Well With:Honey, Banana
Great value pancakes, excellent macros. Perfect protein breakfast!
I got maple syrup flavour and these are the absolute BOMB. Had chocolate before but these are way better. I think they mix okay too.. I find 125ml of water is best and you've got to be patient when cooking them to keep them from sticking or tearing but that's pancakes!Goes Well With:Cinnamon & calorie free pancake syrup
The first time I tried the pancakes I used the recipe on the back on the packet and it tasted awful. I then tried it in a different recipe I found online and it tastes amazing!
Good taste (additional sugar is not needed), great mixability and nutrition value. Definitly recommended
Awesome stuff, really like it! Good for a sugar fix, feels like a cheat food! I cant get mine to look like the ones on the photo but I dont care as long as it tastes good...
I went for the Golden Syrup flavour and love it! Its so quick to mix and cook, within 5 minutes you have a few tasty protein pancakes! I love them for a quick meal after my workout or even for a quick treat throughout the day. Now would like to try more flavours!!Goes Well With:On there own!! Or; Bananas, Berries, Nutella, Bacon...
At the time of ordering the MP pancake mix, I was on a repeating, two-day workout (upper body/lower body) at the gym, with one day's rest in-between. I was (and am continuing to) eat healthily, attempting to stick to a popular diet routine. I was missing the ability to eat pancakes as a *very* occasional breakfast treat, and I saw these - with their excellent reviews - and decided to give them a blast. I opted for the maple syrup flavour, and went for the 500g pouch (despite the pestering to "upgrade" during the checkout process). Delivery was quick, and I followed other user's helpful suggestions - I used a smoothie maker to mix the powder with skimmed milk, and I threw in a single medium egg. I used one squirt of sunflower oil Fry-Lite in the pan, and poured the mixture out to a medium thickness. Looking at the ingredients, they contain a reasonable whack of protein - I actually used less than the recommended amount of powder by a third, and still came out with three decent sized pancakes. The packet suggests 1.5 scoops (50g) per 150ml of milk - I went for 1 scoop per 150ml and one medium egg for added nutritional benefit. The pancakes cook as per "normal" pancakes - i.e. you need a LOW steady heat, and once bubbles start to appear, use a silicone spatula to flip them over. They don't need long (around 1 minute for the first side, maybe 30 seconds or so for the second side) but use your judgement. I had them plain, and they were great. The taste was slightly synthetic, but that's something I'm prepared to overlook for the benefits! Flour has been replaced by egg protein powder and ground oats, and there's no sugar - sweeteners only! The texture wasn't as robust as a regular pancake, and I wouldn't recommend doing them too thick, however they certainly filled a hole. The only unfortunate downside was a HORRENDOUS bout of stomach upset approximately 6 hours later. My other meals haven't varied at all, this was the only new addition to my diet, so I'm reasonably confident at pointing the finger at these being responsible. I haven't tried them again yet, but will do so and report back if there are any further issues! Over all, they're tasty and I recommend them. They could be marginally cheaper, but for a 500g pack you'll get at least 12 protein-packed pancakes from your purchase. Enjoy!Goes Well With:Calorie-free syrups, fruit, lemon juice
Perfect for my keto diet. Add sweetener and sugar free chocolate syrup to these. Satisfy my sweet tooth and enough protein to help with my muscle recovery. Can't fault them! Goes Well With:Sweetener Sugar free syrup
I'm not a big fan of protein shakes as the texture doesn't sit well with me. I was on the site recently and saw this pancake mix, I was a little sceptical but the flavour is spot on. 2 scoops with 100ml of water gets you 2 good sized and completely filling pancakes, tastes so good feels like you're cheating but safe in the knowledge you're getting 30grams of protein in at breakfast.Goes Well With:Blueberries,Bananas and Honey
Great breakfast mix, I got the chocolate flavour, will be buying again!
Great tasting and satisfies my sweet cravings! Use an electric whisk for a good smooth blend. Golden Syrup is a winner for flavour!
I ordered the maple syrup flavour and it tastes great just on there own, no added sugar or syrup needed, easy to mix and easy to cook. Definitely purchasing again!
After a sacrificial first batch to get the temperature, amount of oil and cooking time spot on I soon had the knack of making a decent pancake using this mix - as others have said, go for a think pancake rather than thick ones. Also found the low cal spray oils are not so good for this, you need an actual oil to get the pan ready for the mix. When mixing it seems the lumps will never quite go away completely, but I found that once given a light mix and thrown in to the pan they seemed to cook fine and disappeared. Pancakes themselves are tasty and filling, but the golden syrup flavour is a little too sweet for me, certainly has that classic golden syrup smell to it but the taste is a little too obviously artificial - if you can live with that then fine, if not then unsweetened is for you and add your own accompaniments. Goes Well With:Peanut butter, strawberries, blueberries
The protein pancake mix is an amazing way of getting more protein into your diet without sticking solely to shakes. I really enjoy the shakes but sometimes it's nice to change it up a bit. The pancakes are lovely and taste like real indulgence without the guilt! Goes Well With:Greek yoghurt and strawberries!
4*'s because it tastes amazing mix ability is fine and nutritional content is great for my current goals. However I am back on the page to found out how people actually get the mix to work as the instructions on the packet just make it into slosh which does not flip on a pancake frying pan! (tried the liquid between all the recommended guidelines.. Maybe if my protein came up with a better way to get this mixture to work and wrote that on the packet, it would be perfect. Goes Well With:Bananas, and mixed berries, greek yogurt
I was a bit skeptical about these and read a lot of mixed reviews, but bought them when they were on offer and was pleased I did. They mix well, taste good and although they fell apart in the pan I put that down to my lack of cooking skills... I've bought a second pack and they are a nice little no guilt treat if you fancy something sweet.Goes Well With:MySyrup and a banana
After trying for the first time, all I can say it is just yummy and very addictive but perfect for sweet tooth like me(chosen as golden syrup). Perfect for a sunny breakfast if you are sick of porridge(which I love). A very good option for a sweet breakie
Absolutey fantastic product don't understand bad reviews iv tried numerous times to make my own protein pancakes and failed so was hesitant to buy these but so glad I did! Don't need no topping or anything have enough flavour in them selfs although I did use semi skimmed milk not water and an electric blender for ease. Tiny bit of butter in pan once while it heated and there cook perfect no sticking at all and there so filling defiantly recommend trying these ! Goes Well With:Have tried with peanut butter and is best thing ever!
Very tasty, very nice! Normally the shakes make me feel sick but I've found I can tolerate it in food form! Perfect for me and very nice!Goes Well With:Banana or yoghurt
It was the first thing I had ordered off my protein and I was extremely impressed. They were very nice to eat as a snack but also very nutritious. Definitely will be buying some more when I run out!!Goes Well With:Banana
I was pleasantly surprised when i got this. Mixes very well, tastes good (golden syrup) My only gripe would be that the pancakes are very dry but just use a lottle honey over the top and they are superb Dont cook them on a high heat as the moxture seems to blacken quite easyGoes Well With:Walnuts and honey!
from now I'm going to use this product always
Took a couple of goes to get the mix right but once you get it right it taste great.Goes Well With:Peanut butter and nuttella
Simply LOVE it! It tastes amazing, usually I eat it for dinner almost every day. Easy to shake it, easy to make it. I tasted all; for me the flavoured ones are a bit too sweet so I prefer the unflavoured one (I add a bit of sweetener to it). I make very thin pancakes (with extra virgin olive oil) and roll them with home-made jam.Goes Well With:jam
I found it hard to incorporate protein into my breakfast but these are fantastic! Really nice flavour (i got the maple syrup), I mix with a hand blender which does the job well as I find no lumps etc. at first I found it hard to get the right cooking times/thickness of pancake, but if you pour a thin layer into a pan and then pour off excess batter and fry for 30 seconds on both sides on medium heat they come out perfectly! This usually makes a stack of 3 pancakes with a 10 inch width. I will be buying again and would recommend the product to anyoneGoes Well With:Bananas, peanut butter, assorted berries
This protein pancake mix is fantastic! At first, my pancakes tasted wierd, looked wierd and were not formed properly. But now, I've discovered how to use this mix properly! Do not be put off if your pancakes don't go right first time - mine certainly didn't. The instructions on the back are for BASIC pancakes, but personally, they're so easy and delicous!Goes Well With:I use: Two scoops of protein pancake mix. 1 large banana 1 tbsp honey 2 Egg whites & one yolk Blend in the blender for 2 mins. Then I spray a pan with one cal spray, wait for the pan to get really hot, then turn the heat down and cook for 1-2 mins each side. Use a small frying pan for best results. THEY ARE THE BEST. I've also found that if you make a large one, put some sugar-free jam on (Holland and Barrett). You can roll it up and have it as a little 'swiss roll' type treat. Tastes so naughty! 5/5!
These taste great! It took me a few goes to master them and they are better mixed with lesser liquid, rather than max amount. You get 2 decent pancakes from one mix. Tip : pour into middle of pan and let it spread out itself. If you move it round the pan to spread it they become thin in middle and you can't flip them! 10/10 for taste tho :) Goes Well With:Banana, Greek yoghurt & drizzle of honey Or peanut butter, Greek yoghurt & drizzle of honey
Quality product great for a protein boost in the morning. Also great for filling you up until lunch time Goes Well With:Fruit, yoghurt and Total protein
I got this as I wanted something in the morning that was quick and easy. I thought that it wouldn't taste as nice as it did. It wasn't over complicated to make, just add water or mail. I'm not great at making pancakes but I just follow the instructions on the package and everything was great. You can use the mix as well on waffle iron to make waffles if you're as bad as me making pancakes. The best thing is when I have them I'm set up for the morning till lunch. I'll get them again. Goes Well With:Berries or any fruit.
Easy way of adding in extra protein without many carbs. I have a large pancake with peanut butter, Apple and honey every day as one of my 6 meals. Easy to mix and cooks very well. Not many things can full you up without damaging calorific value but pancakes can. Goes Well With:Peanut butter Honey Banana Apple Strawberries
I bought the maple syrup ones a few weeks ago, and am so far loving it. They are very filling, with one serving keeping me full for quite a few hours. Whisk 50g of the mix with either milk or water with a fork until incorporated, then cook in a greased pan on a low heat to produce very fluffy pancakes. My only gripe is with the taste, and that it has that distinct artificial sweetener taste. However, after having them for a few days, you do get used to the taste and start to like it.
First time I've tried the pancake mix and I was very impressed with the product! I would highly recommend the pancake mix, especially if you've got a sweet tooth. Very easy to mix just add the recommended amount of pancake mix into a shaker then add milk and pour it into the pan. Ideal for a breakfast or a quick snack or desert. It's a great breakfast choice; I also tend to add blueberries and strawberries onto my pancake to add more taste, and it's also goes well with the my protein peanut butter. Goes Well With:Any kind of fruit (especially blueberries and strawberries) and the my protein peanut butter
I have used this for over 4 months now and love the product. They are very tasty sweet or savory and can be made in a few minute. Great for a quick snack, breakfast or night time treat. I would definitely recommend theseGoes Well With:Walden farms pancake syrup, total yoghurt, nuts, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries. I also have them with eggs.
This pancake mix is one of the best investments I've made- I bought the Golden Syrup flavor and it's out of this world! The macros are great both for pre and post workout meals! I bought the small package to start with but I'll definitely be buying this regularly now as it's a part of my routine. If you love pancakes, this is the product for you. I found it doesn't really mix well with water- I used to get scrambled pancakes instead of actual pancakes- so I just use soy milk instead.Goes Well With:Alpro Soy Milk, Almond Butter (or any kind of nut butter), Fruit (bananas, strawberries)
