As a massive foodie this mid morning meal really hits the spot. 100% luxury. At first i didn't really think much of the pancake mix but with my experience as a chef I decided to persist and managed to perfect it! Here's how: 50g Pancake Mix (I use the maple syrup) 125ml water (this may look a bit thin when added but trust me on this ;) ) Optional: Dried/fresh fruit and/or nuts (make sure you cut the fruit up into little bits and crumble the nuts) 15g Mascapone 25ml Apro Hazelnut milk Heat a non stick pan to hot/very hotBreak down any lumps in the pancake powder with the whisk before adding the water. There is no need for any oil/butter/spray oil, they will not stick. Pour in the water all at once and whisk for say 30 seconds until smooth. Pour half of the mix into the pan evenly (making sure the pan is flat). Sprinkle on half of your prepared nuts and/or fruit. Now here's the important bit: make sure you only cook the first side jsut to the point where it starts to pubble and theres still a little liquid ontop. Now using a spatula, carefully flip it over. The pancake is now 90% cooked. Cook the second side now for literally a few second, this way the its still going to be nice and moist inside as the pancake has still maintained it's moisture. Repeat again for the second pancake. Now I like to mix the mascapone and hazelnut milk until it starts to froth. Then pour over the top (this makes the pancake super moist). Enjoy guys, you will not regret buying this.Goes Well With:Fresh/Dried Fruit Nuts
I get a bag of the golden syrup mix every order and I can tell you that this pancake mix must have been made from ground angel wings, a pinch of pure happiness and a dusting of Megan Fox because these are positively delightful! 250ml of skimmed milk, 4 level scoops of mixture and you will have noises coming from your mouth that should be reserved for the bedroom!! Keep the pan heat reasonably low, mix one scoop at a time into the milk and the consistency is perfect every time! They will keep you full for hours and get your protein intake going first thing in the most enjoyable way! Top with pure peanut butter and you will refuse any other pancake again! I like to take mine at breakfast, but the girlfriend likes them cold for lunch as well! Take your pick! The only regret is that your bank balance will never be the same again after ordering over and over again! Perfecto! Goes Well With:Peanut butter, banana, coffee, anything!
Like all pancakes, the first couple you make you always chuck away and it's nodifferent here. Found the first one far too thick, added a bit extra water and then used a smaller frying pan and boom, perfection! A lot more filling than I thought so unless you're Dwayne Johnson then go easy with the portionsGoes Well With:Chocolate Peanut butter, almonds
Great product like the taste but needs to be made very thin
You've got to put alot of extra in to make the unflavoured pancakes taste of anything other than an omlette I'd save some money and use eggs and a scoop of protein powder..Goes Well With:Banana. Berries. Cocoa powder
I have the maple syrup flavor pancake mix and it is amazing! Especially if you have a sweet tooth. The only downfall is that they might be a bit TOO sweet. I admit that I get a bit bored with my entirely savory diet and these hit the spot! I couldn't have ate another sweet thing all day! Goes Well With:Chopped banana in the mixture - IT CARAMELIZES!
After reading some of the reviews I had high hopes for this. I honestly believe if you did a blind taste test with this and a peice of cardboard, you'd struggle to guess which was which.
My go to breakfast. Amazing with nutella. make sure you cook on low heat so you dont dry them out. Can mix with an egg or peanut butter for added texture :)
I bought the small pack of chocolate and golden syrup to try although I wasn't expecting too much after reading the reviews about them being lumpy and hard to cook. I tried the golden syrup first using 125ml water with 50g in my breville active blend, it blended really well and I managed to get two large pancakes out of it, they cooked within a few minutes and didn't stick or fall apart. When I tasted them I was amazed they were so tasty, the golden syrup is very sweet but still delicious. I tried the chocolate the following day and it was just as easy to cook, it is not really chocolately but just right for pancakes. The next day I tried adding an egg to the mixture and it makes it even more soft and fluffy. I have just ordered the large bags and also the maple syrup to try. It is very filling, full of protein and low in calories. This is definitely my new breakfast and after workout treat.
I bought the Maple Syrup flavour. The powder is fairly easy to mix but you have to work it well to avoid lumps. The pancakes cook really quick, which is excellent at breakfast time. Their taste is quite sweet so anything you spread on them should not add any more sugar. My Protein crunchy almond butter is my favourite topping, but they are excellent on their own too. Goes Well With:Unsweetened almond butter.
I can't understand why people are rating these low?! The only thing that requires a bit of thought is that they mix with lumps sometimes. Solution: pour the mixture into a blender, blend for 30 seconds, done. Perfectly smooth mixture with no lumps. To stop it sticking I use some 1 cal. fry light spray (no problems) peals of the pan easy. I use about 4 sprays per pancake to ensure it doesn't stick (can't moan at 4 extra calories). They cook in about 3 minutes and the only addition I make to the recipe is a chopped banana on top! I have the golden syrup flavoured pancakes and when I made them I was a bit sceptical about the taste, however when I tried one I was pleasantly surprised! They tasted amazing! I couldn't stop eating them! The standard mix of 50g to 150ml of milk was a bit thick for me so I added 200ml of milk and it made 4 small and thick pancakes. Product is very simple to use and tastes great! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be purchasing again!Goes Well With:Chopped Banana
golden syrup flavor is nasty all I can taste is artificial flavor and sweeteners they should do this in a unflavored option and you can add your own flavor of choice Goes Well With:nothing
They taste amazing. They keep me filled up for hours. They're REALLY easy to make. If you want them extra fluffy - add an egg. I'm just going to keep buying them. Have tried all the flavours and love them all.
As someone who often misses breakfast this give me something quick, easy and fulfilling to eat in less than 5 mins and is obviously much better for you than a stop en-route to the office. Will definitely be re ordering, I purchased the Golden Syrup version, yes it is sweet but hey it is a pancake after all....
Very excellent taste, ordering several times, never disappointed
These little ditty's taste amazing. I bought the standard mix and used unsweetened Almond Milk to blend with. Have started adding Cinnamon and 100% Raw Cacao into the mix. Top it off with some Blueberries and 100% Peanut Butter. Works a treat!Goes Well With:Blueberries. 100% Raw Cocoa. 100% Peanut Butter.
Very happy I bought these! Not only a relatively high level of protein, but low carbs, meaning I can add what I want without feeling overly guilty. I like to either enjoy as a breakfast or as a pudding/snack to curb a sweet tooth. It took a few attempts to perfect, but now its very quick to create a high protein meal or snack. I noticed a few lumps in the shaker I used, but was unable to tell once cooked. Goes Well With:Bananas and maple syrup MyProtein smooth peanut butter
Bought MP's Maple Syrup flavour. Very very tasty! Not too sweet. Just right and nice and moist too.Tried this pancake mix because I was getting tried of protein bars and wanted something for work that had good ingredients and nutritional profile. Plus it's very cheap. This has twice the protein content of most bars and is very filling compared to endlessly having protein shakes. Very easy to make either in the morning or the night before and put it in the fridge. Vanilla would be a great flavour to introduce MP! :)Goes Well With:Omega Balance :)
Recently bought these and they are already my new favourite breakfast! Bought the unflavoured version - I have 1.5 scoops with 100ml almond milk and that makes 2 good size pancakes (I like them slightly thicker!). I mixed it in a shaker with a ball and it mixed pretty well, although there were still a few lumps left. I found them so easy and quick to cook!! I don't think i'd like to eat the plain ones by themselves, but when you have them with fruit etc they taste sooooo good! They are really fluffy too. And they are SO FILLING! If I have these for breakfast I know I won't be hungry again until lunch. Goes Well With:Fruit, peanut butter, honey, maple syrup
So easy to do it and getting 20gr of protein just like that. Love this product totally!!! Shame didn't get more!
Love these pancakes. Tried the unflavoured one at first, which were ok but found had to add toppings to them for added taste. Following this I bought the maple syrup ones and they taste so good! I don't need to put anything on them, although I am not sure of the nutrition value for these ones. They mix really well and if you only cook just for a minute each side they do not go dry. Excellent for breakfast as gives you a feeling of fullness of protein and carbs, or as an after dinner treat if you have a sweet tooth but don't want to eat something unhealthy! Will continue to buy these, would love the nutrition info for them!Goes Well With:Honey, Banana
Great value pancakes, excellent macros. Perfect protein breakfast!
I got maple syrup flavour and these are the absolute BOMB. Had chocolate before but these are way better. I think they mix okay too.. I find 125ml of water is best and you've got to be patient when cooking them to keep them from sticking or tearing but that's pancakes!Goes Well With:Cinnamon & calorie free pancake syrup
Well sadly i won't advise any one to use this mix! I've always used a different brand but as this was on offer I thought I'd try it, I've made two stacks and my husband and I have just thrown them away after 2 bites! Wish I could return for a refund Goes Well With:My bin sadly
The pancakes mix very easily and taste delicious - you can't tell them apart from ordinary pancakes It's very easy to adjust the mix to make thicker American-style pancakes or thinner crepe-type pancakes I felt full for about 5 hours after eating themGoes Well With:Maple syrup Bacon Xylitol and lemon juice
Tasted wwwaaaaayyyy too sweet for my liking. Has put me off using it again.
This product tastes great but it does mix properly at all it turns out like water follow there instructions Goes Well With:Sugar 😂
Product is easy to mix and straight forward to make. Once cooked is quite a dry texture so does require the addition of a sauce but with some honey or lemon juice is actual taste ok.
Brilliant on it's own, or with the syrup from myprotein. But when you put some cream cheese no carb cream on it with fresh forest fruit, everybody will be amazed! Love it!
I would suggest to not by this product. I bought Maple syrup and Chocolate- the taste is just horrible
I don't know about anyone else but why waste the effort of putting it in a blender or mixing it by hand, just chuck it all in a shaker and off ya go!! I do this every time and they turn out great. I only ever use 100ml milk otherwise they're way too runny and don't keep their shape. I normally get about 5 small rice cake size pancakes from just the 50g serving! Taste amazing and well you can't beat the macros on them!!Goes Well With:MySyrup Maple, peanut butter, almond butter.
Really good product too add a bit more protein into your diet. Mixes very well with milk and tastes excellently. Definitely recommended by me.Goes Well With:Milk
This product is a great way to add protein in to your breakfast or as a snack. I did need to sacrifice the first couple of pancakes so I could find the right amount of water etc.Goes Well With:Breakfast or snacks
Just bought this recently. Tasted good despite my lack of pancake making skills. I went for the unflavoured and tasted just like a regular pancake which I topped with zero calorie syrup. If you make thick pancakes it can have a slight eggy quality but perfect for thin style. Mixes ok, has some lumps in the mix but it isn't noticeable when cooked. Mixing in a shaker cup may help this. I would buy again but perhaps buy a flavoured variety to avoid having to buy syrup.Goes Well With:Zero calorie syrup.
I bought these last week and have been really pleased - they taste amazing and are really easy to make. I am still yet to work out the perfect water/milk to powder ratio as I prefer more American style pancakes however they are packed with protein and taste amazing! I will definitely be making a repeat purchase - they keep you full all morning too! Goes Well With:Greek yoghurt, bananas, honey, frozen mixed berries, my zero syrup, peanut butter
I don't EVER review items, but actually felt like I was obliged to review this product because of how amazing it is, and the way it has got me through my prep! The Maple Syrup flavour is incredible, low in fat, carbs yet high in protein, with the most amazing taste. What's more the texture is beautifully fluffy, and combined with peanut butter and banana I have literally found the most amazing guilt free treat! This is a MUST buy, my cupboard will never go without it!Goes Well With:For an extra guilt free treat, add a tiny bit of water to the Chocolate Peanut Butter flavour whey isolate to create a paste similar to that of melted chocolate!! Pour it over the pancakes with toppings of your choice and you are onto a winner!
I have pancakes as a weekend treat, so thought it would be a good idea to substitute them for these as I've been upping my training and my body has been feeling it! I'd recommend mixing with a shaker as other people have suggested. Tastes okay, thicker than a normal pancake and does taste a bit eggy as in an omlette! But still nice, I had the golden syrup flavour which tasted a bit like toffee! Definately a good sub and I feel better knowing it's better for me but still feel like it's my weekend treat!! Goes Well With:On its own!
If your wondering whether or not to purchase this, I suggest you do so. I purchased the golden syrup flavour and I must say the pancakes taste great. Most definitely worth it. Much better then using the normal whey protein cheat method. Thumbs up 👍🏾Goes Well With:Reese chocolate peanut butter spread
I recently bought this as protein pancakes are a fad that doesn't seem to be going away. I regularly make pancakes on a Sunday morning for myself and my marathon running boyfriend, and have been looking for a way to squeeze extra protein into our diets. The first batch I made was very sweet, and artificial tasting. That was my mistake, as I used soya milk. For me, the soy taste did not go well with the pancake mix. The next time I used 100ml of semi-skimmed milk with two scoops. Voila! Perfect. My Sunday morning routine: Preheat the oven to 80 degrees Celsius. I double the mix to four scoops and use 200ml of semi skimmed milk and mix well. Add a little bit of butter, if you do not have a not stick pan. Cook as many pancakes as you can in the pan, my pan fits three. Wait until the mixture has started to bubble, then flip. Cook on the other side. Place the pancakes on a plate, and put in the preheated oven whilst you cook the rest of the batter, keeping your pancakes warm and yummy. If you want to cook with bacon, then cook this before the pancakes and put in the heated oven whilst doing the pancakes. Otherwise, add berries and enjoy! I recommend caramelized apples and bananas.Goes Well With:Myprotein Mysyrup Maple Flavour
I was sceptical about trying these after reading some of the reviews, however I bought them and they are delicious ! I have the unflavoured ones and they don't taste too far off from your regular scotch pancakes. I found that the mixture cooked better into small scotch pancakes rather than thin crepes. I have Nutella with mine but you'd be able to use any topping with this flavour. Definitely will buy again ! Goes Well With:Any topping
Had my first batch (golden syrup) as a snack today. Burnt the first one, but managed to get three decent sized ones out of the 50g serving. Made them with soya milk & drizzled with honey. I couldn't finish the portion! Very filling. Think they would be lovely with peanut butter as the honey made them too sickly. But this was my fault not the product. Really quick to make and I'll quite happily eat them cold at my desk at work. Goes Well With:Depends on how sweet your tooth is!
Got the half kilo pack of chocolate pancakes this morning and made some right away. They taste just like the homemade ones i used to make with the same ingredients. Easy and fast, full of protein and flavour. 100% recommended for breakfast or dessert.Goes Well With:Honey, nuts.
good product i am very happy with this :-)
Great product. All protein needs and little additives. Also great taste
I love this pancake mix and it is now a regular in my cupboard. I have tried the maple syrup, chocolate and unflavoured. I personally buy the unflavoured and I think the are really tasty when made with Almond Milk in particular... water is not quite thick enough in my opinion for the best taste. I liked the chocolate flavour as well, but personally unflavoured means I can have different flavoured sugar free syrups by myprotein or walden farms on top which I really enjoy. I am reall happy with the macros in this mix as well.Goes Well With:almond milk and walden farms pancake syrup
Love love love these pancakes! Maple syrup tastes amazing and always a good fix for my sweet tooth Goes Well With:Nuts n more peanut butter
Imagine making an omelette and adding a bit of chocolate whey powder to it, that's what this product tastes like. Really disappointing.
Great product. Easy to use, mixes well, tastes great. Nice light pancakes, might not look the best but an easy tasty way to get your protein up! Goes Well With:Fruit and Greek yoghurt
They taste awful! I mean really bad, and you need to get the mix right or they wont cook properly ... I will probably make banana pancakes instead... Goes Well With:nothing, dump them
Great filling breakfast , or snack . The unflavoured mix is very usefull for supper filled with mushrooms and cheese etc , and I particularly like the Golden Syrup flavoured pancakes topped with cream cheese . No need to feel deprived at all :)Goes Well With: some grated apple and cinnimon added to the uncooked batter is good , so is grated cheese and mustard to the unflavoured mix !
