I like green tea! I do! I just can't drink the amount of tea dictated by the people who say "You need to drink green tea!" Looking through the products, I thought I'd found the perfect way to encapsulate "green tea to the max" Oh dear god, I thought I'd died and was trying to dig my way out of the earth! It is the most vile flavoured component known to man! I mixed it with water at first, I was gagging after the first swallow. I "manned" up I held my nose and drank without a breath until it was gone! But my legs were so weak I had to hold onto the bench and take some deep breaths! I thought I'm not sure I can handle this again! Yesterday I thought "Kate you can do this!" Reading through the reviews I thought, Ok! try it with juice and add the L tyrosine(?). Whoever said this stuff mixes well with ANYTHING lied! It nearly came up faster than it went down! This stuff should be on the army training course, because let's face it if you can handle this you really are the best! Yesterday I had to lie on the couch looking for all the world like "The Lady of the Camellias" . This powder should be renamed "Terminator Powder" because it will come back on you! I've become one of Pavlov's dogs, I'm looking at that pouch and my insides are churning! For such a small volume of weight there are so many doses in it! I'm just going to try today's dose...............I'm going to be trans gender at the end of the pouch I will have "manned up" so many times! Those who are about to partake salute you! (pssssst go for capsules!))Goes Well With:Haven't found anything yet!
Amazing product helping with weight loss, mix it with diet impact whey either by shaker or blender
Reviews say the taste is bad but I can't even taste it when added to my morning and pre workout shake! Maybe I am adding too little though as no good way of measuring 100mg (without precision scales). Helps get rid of that last bit of stubborn fat whilst cutting and gives you a boost pre workout (and before work!). Goes Well With:A shake, water or juice.
I first bought the tablets since I got scared by all the bad taste reviews. Unfortunately I really can't do the tablets as they are huge. So I bought myself two bags of this. Just had my first mug of instant coffee with breakfast where I put 1/4 teaspoon of green tea extract. Absolutely lovely. Actually it tasted like coffee. People must be putting way too much of this in a cup to start with, though to be honest the team is not very clear on how much to add (100mg is seriously hard to measure on a normal kitchen scale!). As for the effectiveness I still do not know, but I'm taking it for the antioxidants so it should be good!Goes Well With:Coffee
The only problem I've had with the product is the taste, every time I drink it it almost makes me sick. Other than that it is very effective and saves me drinking cup after cup of green tea every day. You only need a very small amount and I would reccomend mixing it in with a smoothie/shake (I added a scoop of ginger to mine to try to mask the taste). I'm not a big caffeine drinker and it didn't make me feel "wired" or "shakey". Goes Well With:Fruit and veg smoothie with ginger.
Bought this to incorporate into my diet and workouts as i'm not particularly a fan, nor have the time to consume several cups of green tea a day. There is no way around this but it tastes absolutely horrendous!!! I mix it with juice but I need to make it fairly strong and often need another drink to wash away the taste afterwards! It mixes okay but can sometimes be a little lumpy if you don't mix it enough. This aside, I do quite like it. I use it in the morning and then as a pre-workout mixed with L- Tyrosine powder. I have to say it gives me enough of a kick to get me going but its not too strong that I feel like i'm "buzzing" (I personally don't like that wired/ shakey feeling). I would recommend this product and despite taste would buy again. Best to just get it down you and go! :-)Goes Well With:L- Tyrosine powder
Worst thing i have ever tasted, thought i had ordered the tablets then this turned up, literally made me ill all day
So if you're not a fan of green tea but want to increase your green tea intake, don't bother with this - do the tablets! Was fooled by other reviews saying it tastes nice or is flavourless but this is my only regret buy! I cannot stand the taste of green tea so this is useless for me as I have to hold my nose to drink it and have the aftertaste for hours after! Put my order in for the tablets however as it is effective and a fabulous product, I just need something I can't taste!
Very good product to add to all the other supplements and support the workout! Results are visible after a while, especially when the diet and training routine are good as well!
I've been using this stuff for a week, stacked with acetyl l carnitine and caffeine. It tastes exactly like green tea. Its very effective, I've also noticed that this counteracts the edgy feeling from having caffeine which is a bonus. All in all. A great product for the price
Bought this to add into my morning protein shake / smoothie and it didn't disappoint. I've only used it in shakes and smoothies so far but I really can't taste it al all. Had no problems mixing it either. I can definitely feel a difference. I read the reviews before using the product and am glad I did. It is very strong, 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon is PLENTY! There is a tiny scoop, but if you find it it's probably easier to throw away. My first MP purchase and I'm very happy :)
The scoop is so small you won't find it in the packet. The mix ability of the powder isn't that good, think tablets would be easier for this supplement.
I have tried this for about a week now. My stomach is finally starting to gain some definition through the help of this product. I have to agree with others this is a VERY strong product, so mixing only half a teaspoon of this product with water each time is plenty.
Great in addition to a weight loss diet. Use hot water for better mixability. Keeps you awake, focused and helps you to burn fat!Goes Well With:L-Carnitine
Oh boy, that works a treat when used together with guarana powder, BCAA and cayenne pepper. Taking it in my porridge half an hour before my workout and I was sweating and pumping away. Goes Well With:porridge cayenne pepper guarana powder BCAA
No complaints, even if it's minutely helping out I'm happy. Feel more alert and definitely get a kick.
Not been using this long but already feeling benefits - more energy, better mood, etc. Been taking half a mini scoop in my shakes and by itself with hot and cold water. You can't taste it in the shakes at all and its great by itself.Goes Well With:Hot or Cold water, Diet Impact Whey
Can't comment on effectiveness in terms of weight loss. Just had my first cup though and it tastes exactly as green tea does, provides a nice buzz and is great value for money. I like strong green tea, so I found quarter of a tsp in hot water was to my taste.Goes Well With:Hot water
Tastes foul, like a cup of really strong green tea if not mixed with anything else, but neck it or mix into another shake and see the benefits yourself. Definitely makes me feel more alert and seems to be assisting with shifting the more stubborn fat.Goes Well With:Protein powder & green powders.
I have just started using green tea. I don't like hot drinks so thought I would try this powder. I add this to fresh homemade fruit and veg juices and you cant tell it is in it. I find this product really good and It is helping with weight loss. You only need a small amount and it last for ages.Goes Well With:Fruit and veg drinks.
Purchased this purely for the health benefits; I don't generally drink tea or coffee so green tea doesn't appeal to me. I found the tsar quite bad, but I think it tastes like a normal tea with no milk but I don't like tea at the best if times so that may just be a bias opinion. I have since found that you can get them in different flavours from elsewhere like a raspberry flavor which is supposed to be nice. Also I called to speak to someone after ordering to see if the spoon comes with it and if it didn't could they add it to my already placed order so I didn't have to pay additional postage charges; he said it does come with a spoon but it doesn't... Just make sure you get one. The tea it self didn't seem to give any energy boost or any other side effect you could feel but all the experts can't be wrong. Plus at a 21 year old male I'm not generally short on energy. All in all an alright product, would make an excellent substitute if you drink tea or coffee. Goes Well With:Hot water
I received this on Friday so have only been taking it for 2 days so cannot comment on its effectiveness just yet. I don't have a my protein small scoop so I have just been putting a teaspoon of it in with my whey protein shake with a banana and spoon of almond butter and it tastes great! I cant taste it at all, still not sure if I need more or less than a teaspoon but will play it by ear. Am not getting a kick from 1 teaspoon but will give it chance to work. Goes Well With:chocolate whey protein, banana and almond butter
I bought a pouch of MP's Green Tea Extract Powder to use alongside their Weight Loss Bundle. It comes in a convenient pack which I keep in my drawer at work and I think it tastes lovely. It tastes exactly the same as having a normal cup of green tea, although you only need a tiny amount in each drink. I take mine with a mug of hot water and drink it as a normal cup of green tea although I will be mixing it with Superfood XS and Nutri-Greens to give me a boost pre-workout. There is a good bit of caffeine in the Green Tea Extract Powder so you do get a nice little buzz with it in the morning. Whether it helps with weight loss? It' will be hard to tell but I think it's just something that's good to have for good general well being.Goes Well With:Add to a shake made up with Nutri-Greens and Superfood XS for a good natural boost pre-workout
Overall a great product though I don't think it mixes very well so I put it into capsules and take it like that which is easier for me.
It tastes absolutely fine and I don't see what all the drama is about with the taste. Has anyone tried a green teabag? its just the same, but obviously a lot better for you. I've only just started using it so I can't comment on the total benefits but is certainly giving me more energy and concentration. Make it like a tea in hotel water is the easiest. I will continue to have 3 cups a day and i am hoping it will build my immunity throughout the winter, which will help my joints. I definitely recommend! Oh and I think it is exceptional value!Goes Well With:Honey/cinnamon sugar for a treat
As good as it gets! Amazing energy in the smallest amount, mixability can be a bit tricky with cold water and the taste is bitter (but it is an extract of course..)
Not sure why others have negatively reviewed the taste, but with some warm water makes a drink very similar in taste to standard green tea! When you consider 100g gives you approximately 400cups (using a MP mini scoop or 240mg per time) it's exceptional value for money too. I can't really comment on it's effectiveness yet, but an easy to way to supplement with green tea.
I'm so happy with the taste of this Green Tea Extract Powder! You don't need much to make a cup of tea. It's too early to say if its doing anything good inside me, but I'm just happy with the new drink.Goes Well With:Ice and lemon
I've been using the Green Tea Extract Powder for a couple of weeks now, I just add it to my whey diet shake. I'm already seeing results, I have been constantly losing the pounds. It doesn't add any flavour to shake, however it does clump together sometimes leaving a dry taste in the mouth. Apart from that it's great.Goes Well With:Impact diet whey protein shakes
It's all about finding the right amount for the individual. Does take some mixingGoes Well With:Protein shake
Again, another product bought without checking the reviews. I was a bit apprehensive waiting for the Green Tea Extract Powder to arrive as everyone said it tasted horrible! Let's be honest, it does. It's sort of what I imagine melted tree bark would taste like, but it's completely worth it. I've used it to replace my teas and coffees (and I used to get through a lot!). I now have about 3 of these a day. In the morning, a quick one in the afternoon, and one before my work out. A squeeze of honey takes down the taste, but it's totally worth the grimace. I sometimes mix my last one of the day with a quarter cup hot water, pour into my shaker and fill with cold water. This keeps me going all the way through my work out. Also, a very handy side-effect has been that it's made my skin glow - not a bad side effect at all! Overall, an excellent product and I will definitely buy more.
I never realised this Green Tea Extract Powder had such a caffeine punch. I started to mix it in my shakes as I hated the taste of green tea, but it doesn't mix well cold. I've started mixing a quarter of a teaspoon with hot water for a great drink, and it tastes much, much better than regular green tea, which tastes of seaweed. It's like drinking a double espresso with a smoother up and no noticeable come down. It's brilliant.
This stuff is dynamite! I mix it in with my impact whey protein (don't bother drinking with water alone, dont mix well or taste great) and 30mins later it starts to kick in! Keeps me going through out my entire workout. Excellent product and very good price.I have being taking for 2 weeks and have noticed a big difference around the abs however I can't guarantee this is down to the green tea extract or CLA, as I've been taking them simultaneously.Goes Well With:Impact Whey protein, CLA, Water
All good, does everything it says on the tin. Recommended!
Green Tea Extract Powder is very good and very effective, the taste is bearable, but not great when it comes to mixing. Overall it offers very good results!
Really what is all the fuss about I got this because of all the benefits that have been mentioned and thought I would put up with the taste, I tried it today and what is all the fuss about? It's not that nice but it's not terrible. I made it up like a cup of tea with skimmed milk and no sugar and it just tastes like a strong cuppa with a bit of an odd flavour behind it. It's a bit like an earl grey or something, in fact I would say I'd prefer this over an Earl Grey, it's totally drinkable and there's no need to gag, rinse you mouth etc. I've tasted far worse. Don't let the taste reviews put you off. I've only drunk one cup, so I can't comment on the effectiveness as yet.
This Green Tea Extract Powder gives me that little boast I need when waking up,1/4 teaspoon with a slice of lemon and hot water goes down well.
It doesn't taste great but after drinking it a few times you don't mind it and it becomes enjoyable. Another thing is that drinking it 2-3 times a day will make your skin glow, obviously works.
I haven't lost weight after using the Green Tea Extract Powder, but the tea is lovely. You will have to do a little trial and error, but I love it and the price is great, so for me this is perfect.
This is not the nicest drink in the world but a perfectly acceptable hot drink and an alternative to black coffee (virtually necessary part of Intermittent Fasting), because it's 0 calories too. Nice caffeine content, which helps keep you feeling a little better if tired/groggy/super hungry. I don't particularly miss black coffee either now. I don't think the taste is that bad but I have fairly diluted amounts with one artificial sweetener - about a quater of a teaspoons worth. My main complaint actually is that it stains your mug/spoons fairly easily. I purchased the 500g bag during the sale and this is going to last me forever! So much so that I'd recommend putting the tea in another container (I used an old CLA tablet container with a lid) because the glue on the zip-seal will start to come loose and the packet won't close. Saving a whole heap of money on the coffee I went through every day, reaping the benifits of Green Tea as well as keeping hydrated and full of caffeine until my eating window comes back. Lush.
The taste of the Green Tea Extract Powder is horrendous. However, I've found if you mix it in a shot amount of undiluted robinsons squash then the taste isn't overpowering and it's down the hatch easily and quickly. Yet you still get all the positive effects. I've found this is a lot better than the tablets it seems a lot more potent and when taken in the morning it doesn't take long to give me that nice healthy feeling little buzz without any crash. Also useful pre workout for a little boost in the gym, I definitely feel healthier for taking this. I also recommend MP's wheatgrass powder when taken with this in the morning that healthy feeling is fantastic, I get a nice little buzzGoes Well With:undiluted squash
When 1/4 teaspoon of Green Tea Extract Powder is mixed with hot water, it tastes better than green tea bags. I will be buying more!Goes Well With:hot water
I have been using this for 6 month now and I love it . I have replaced my morning coffees with the green tea extract and I think it has aided my weight loss ( I have know lost 3.5 stone ) . Goes great with a balanced diet and a good training program!Goes Well With:Thermopure
Bought this hoping it would be like green tea, there were a few issues, when mixing the powder it must be done with warm/hot water otherwise it will not mix, also instead of a green coloured tea you will get a red/brown coloured tea. It seems to taste fine however that colour seems to indicated that the all of the antioxidants have been destroyed in the production process.
The Green Tea Extract Powder is a great product. Currently using it twice a day mixed in with some protein and it's helped my gut. Would recommend to anyone who wants the benefits of green tea, but doesn't want the nasty flavour that goes with it!
I'm well aware of the benefits of green tea that is why I ordered this extract, but little did I know how truly horrible it tasted. I tried mixing it in my protein shake, which just made my shake taste terrible. I can't see myself drinking this product because of the taste and don't envisage I will get used to it either, maybe I'm better off trying tablets instead Goes Well With: nothing on this planet.
The Green Tea Extract Powder is very disappointing compared to other brands I have used recently. The taste is terrible when I used it with hot water and the powder turned almost paste like on the spoon. One try was enough for me and I will not be suffering through a cup of this again.
I hate reading reviews about the taste of products as I would rather know what effects they have on the body. But good grief this Myprotein Green Tea Extract Powder was rotten, I think I'll be getting the capsules instead as I don't think I can handle the rest of the bag.
I hate reading reviews about the taste of products as would I would rather know what effects they have on the body, but good grief this Myprotein Green Tea Extract Powder was rotten! I think I'll be getting the capsules instead as I don't think I could hack the rest of the bag.
"This is great stuff. The reason people are saying it tastes bad is because they are mixing it with cold water. I don't recommend mixing it with cold water, because it does not mix very well, and just doesn't taste good. What i do recommend is to have it with hot water. It tastes great and is really soothing! I wasn't expecting any difference when taking this stuff, but it turns out that it really is beneficial! Despite eating a lot, to build muscle, i seem to be maintaining or even losing fat. I notice that my abs having become more visible aswell. You have to try this product, and if it isn't your cup of tea (sorry about that), well you've only lost around £5."
