CarBarley™ is a low GI (glycemic index) carbohydrate which is sourced from waxy-barley starch and has a high amylopectin content of 92% with approximately 7g of sugar per serving.
This low GI carbohydrate is ideal for the preparation and recovery for a range of sports including team-based sports or endurance based activities which require muscle glycogen stores to deplete.
Many athletes and gym-users may look to use this as a replacement to many simple sugars when increasing daily carbohydrate intake. CarBarley™ is ideal for a source of low GI carbohydrates to fuel endurance-based events and team sports. .
Add 200ml-250ml of water or fruit juice into our shaker. Then add 2 heaped MP large scoops (75g). Shake and consume.
1 x level MP Plastic Scoop (large) weighs 35g.
Pre work-out: We recommend having 75g of CarBarley up to an hour before taking part in high-intensity exercise.
Post work-out: We recommend consuming approximately 75g immediately post work-out.
Carbohydrate loading: This can also be consumed leading up to an endurance based event. We recommend taking approximately 2 x 75g servings across the days leading up to your event, and a further serving in the morning of the race.
