these bands are great! i have been powerlifting for a while now and have tried other more expensive bands and cant fathom why the price differs so much. being a self employed personal trainer i always look for cheaper alternatives to high end products and i found it with these. i purchased the entire range (red to orange) and love how each band progresses. i would recommend only using the red and purple for stretching as attempting pull-ups ect will potentailly break the band. if you know what your doing the range of exercises you can do is endless. they help with pushing through sticking points on lifts such as: bench press and deadlift. my only gripe is when i opened the orange pair one of the two was covered in mould!! this is obviously do to being damp when they were packaged. its not a huge problem as it wouldn't have damaged the band its self but it does effect how it looks as they are now permanently stained. other than this i would highly recommend these bands to anyone who wants to progress their flexibility or lifting capabilities Goes Well With:any other my protein product
Before buying the MP red bands I had a good few bands at different strengths and lengths from different companies. I can honestly say these are perfect for me to warm up my shoulders, well made and offer just enough resistance for my purposes.
As someone who has a rack, bench and barbell set up in my garage, these are indispensable. I own the red, purple and green bands, and I have found uses for each of them. The red bands are thin and offer little resistance - I've found them to be good for stretching and mobility work before training. They are also good for adding resistance to push-ups, kettle bell swings (around the rack and the waist) and around the backs of the knees during squats. These can force the lockouts to be a little stronger. The purple bands are mostly used for facepulls, banded deadlifts, and shoulder work (if you loop these around a couple of 5kg weights you can do some pretty challenging side raises). They're also good if you want to hang weights from a bar to simulate training with a flexible bar (try overhead press with a couple of 5kg weights hanging from the bar with bands - it really tests the core). I have four main uses for the green bands. I have done banded squats - these take a bit of setting up, though. I've also used them for standing crunches with the band looped around the top of the rack. Third, I've used them as a replacement for leg curls - these are fine, but there are better exercise for the hamstrings. Finally, and probably the main reason to buy these, I use them to loop around my bench when doing bench press. They turn my cheap, entry level bench into something much more advanced as I am able to really dig my traps into the bench without slipping. For this reason alone, I would recommend the green bands. For me, these are the three most useful bands. I imagine that the orange and blue are too thick for anything other than assisting pull ups. Goes Well With:A little imagination. Cheers
I purchased the red and purple bands to aid with calisthenics/ body weight training for assistance when practicing muscle ups and adding resistance for other moves. Seem very durable and well made and at a very good price. I like how they come as a pair where as on other sites it was more expensive just for one band. Overall great product.
Great product for assisted pull ups and other strength training drills. Two per pack so really good value.
Great stuff if you want to add some extra pressure to your normal pushups, i also use these for streching since they fome in pairs its like having cable rows at home.. These are also amazing for calisthenics, i used these bands to help me improve/learnmy front levers, human flags etc..
I bought a set of these bands as I'd heard they were really good for toning, and for using on the days you don't hit the gym hard. I'm not a massive lifter, and recently quit the gym so that I can train at home instead. It's going really well and these bands have helped no end. Only had them a couple of weeks but I'm already feeling a lot stronger, and can knock out more heavy reps on the bars as a result. I wasn't really sure what colour to go for so played it safe and went for the green bands. For me, they provide a lot of resistance, and I've found that by keeping tension in the bands throughout your set, you are constantly keeping the muscle under tension, which appears to be causing growth. My girlfriend has already commented that I'm looking more defined, and there are so many different exercises that you can do with them, they give a total body workout. I'll definitely be purchasing another set soon
I have nothnig else to say that quality is great and I'm not sorry for this order.Goes Well With:I use them to get better with my pull up, and It0s working good for me.
These bands are great, both as part of a warm-up, when looking for assistance on dips or pull-ups, and also for adding a little extra and increasing the difficulty at the top of a rep for squats, dead lifts and press. A very useful product than can greatly enhance training.Goes Well With:Foam roller (warm-up) and an inventive mind.
Being cheap, I went for the cheapest option of resistance band, and whilst I cannot fault the band itself - it works great and I get good use out of it - I was expecting it to be a bit thicker and stronger. This could be down to not having enough specific description of each band on the page, however, this band confusion could easily be overcome by not being lazy and ringing customer services for advice on the products. If you want the resistance, don't be cheap.Goes Well With:Foam roller
Hey, will these bands be suitable to use around knee area to tone and strenghten thighs and glutes?
Great product, good quality, extremely versatile and perfect for getting a deeper stretch
Great bands for rehab, sprint any form of rugby exercise.great qualityGoes Well With:Rugby specific training and rehab
Have been using these in the gym for a while with my PT and decided to buy my own set as they are so versatile. It's like being able to carry a cable machines in my bag to use anytime. I actually take them to work with me. Quality wise.... my pt has had his set for ages and are in constant use both by himself and his clients so I know they are high quality.Goes Well With:Brilliant for home, work and going on holidays.
2x purple in use for a couple of weeks now and working well. Good price for a 2 pack too.
These bans are a class idea for people wanting to train who can't get to a gym. I took them on holiday as the hotel I stayed at didn't have a gym. The range of exercises you can do is amazing. They take up no space at all in your bag. Would be good for people working away or even I you can't get to the gym! Just google resistance bans exercises and there's hundreds!
Great Bands, do exactly what was required, really durable and strong
Purchased the full range of these outstanding quality bands. Excellent for warm up and stretching. Great for those days that you can't get to the gym. Good progressive resistance through the range.
I've just bought the resistance bands to add to my training, and I've bought the purple one. I find this product a great way to add to any kind of training plan, as it's very flexible to what you can do with it; such as warming up before an exercise or strength training. Also if you are unsure of what exercises you can do, or starting off a plan there are plenty of websites that can give you ideas. Highly recommended for someone who's trying to increase their strength
Resistance bands are good and they seem to be able to last for a while and provide good resistance. Impact whey protein great taste and mixes really well. Much better than the strawberry flavor i got before which didn't mix well. However I feel that it can maybe be more effective in terms of helping you recover a bit.
These bands (red) are excellent. I had been after some bands for a while to help with my shoulder mobility. These bands are spot on, have just the right amount of resistance to help warm up and mobilise the shoulder.
After reading another review here,i decided to go for the largest size. I slightly regret that now, the orange bands are extremely wide and thick, four of them could probably lift an elephant. i'm having to be somewhat creative in using them because they're just so absurdly powerful, i may end up buying a weaker set tooGoes Well With:he other bands
i bought the purple bands and was amazed at the quality of the product, after trying a few different resistance bands, these where by far the best. brilliant for people at every level as there is so many different colours and resistance.
Good value, but a pair of purple bands I recently bought arrived as two slightly different lengths and this makes the resistance out of balance from one side of the bar to the other.
Using these for help with front levers but they are amazing for loads of stuff. Currently Ghetto leg curls at home are going down a treat. And you can double up the bands and mix and match for smaller increments. There's so much you can do with these. Price is great as well.Goes Well With:My body
I bought these bands (In a pair! Other companies for one of the same price as myprotein do to 2!) I wanted to train my arm while I'm traveling I think theses with work well, almost replace a weight, almost...
Very good product, now have 3 pairs of various resistance and giving a new angle on training, well worth the money. Quick delivery and well packaged.
Work well to add a little bit of extra difficulty when you want it, well made, sturdy stuff
very goood for body shaping .... I recommend
Hard, thick bands, high quallity product! Great for pullups
Bought these for my girlfriend for support for doing chinups, she loves them. Also great for adding resistance to chinups if you put a heavy weight on them, I like the feeling of this added resistance better than having to dangle a big weight in my crotch from a belt. Super product :-)Goes Well With:Chinup bar, resistance training
I spoke to customer services for advice on the best band to assist me with pull ups for my weight, and these are perfect. I've been using them for four weeks and my failure point is already increasing. Once it gets too easy I intend to get another set with less resistance and so on until I can do them on my own. Also good for dips as you work harder than using an assisted machine.
Very handy for those days when you can't make it to the gym, haven't used them with weights yet but I'm sure they'll work just fine as additional increasing resistance got exercises such as bench press, military press and dead lifts Goes Well With:Workout
Great bands for deadlifting, squating, pull-ups etc... Hard, thick bands, high quallity product!
I got the green Myprotein Resistance Bands, the 23-54kg ones. They are an awesome product, I got these to help me with smashing my bench. They are really Good and the customer service is outstanding.Goes Well With:Hard Training
Got the blue and green bands to use in my Sports Therapy clinic. The bands were delivered really quickly. They are strong and well made and because of their strength they give me and my clients total confidence in trusting them to hold body weight. Additionally they stretch and recoil in a consistent pattern which allows for more control from the user and allows consistent and accurate measurements to be obtained - unlike some of the cheaper bands that I have used.Goes Well With:Chips ???
I got the green bands, 23-54kg ones. Excellent product to help me with assisted pull ups. Really happy with them.
Always wanted to incorporate bands into my training!
I ordered the Myprotein green resistance band, however, I wanted the purple one initially but due to the weird way it is explained - the kg's explain the resistance it gives not the amount of weight it holds. However, I ordered so I can learn pull ups as I can't do them without any support and it is absolutely great and as it turns out the green was better than the purple one which would have been thinner not give the support I need. It would be good if they could put the colour next the kgs so you can see the thickness as well as the resistance it gives.Goes Well With:Pull Up bar
Great product when doing band and chain work. Or at home when you can't get to the gym.Goes Well With:Foam roller
I find these Myprotein Resistance Bands a lot of help within the gym, especially the red band with my shoulder rehab, plus other bands for help on pull ups. I would recommend these.
Myprotein Resistance Bands are brilliant for stretching, keeping loose and avoiding aching muscles the day after training. Simply stretch away whilst watching TV! However, I miss hand grips and the lack of a guide.
I ordered some Myprotein Resistance Bands from Myprotein. I received excellent service, fast delivery and reasonable charges!
I bought the red and the purple bands for chin up and dip assistance and they do the job perfectly.
Took the Myprotein Resistance Bands down to my gym and we use them for warming up the joints before a heavy weights' session. Helps with nice fluid movement of joints.
These bands are great! Durable strong and long enough for squats and pull ups!
Got myself a pair of purple Myprotein Resistance Bands. They're a great way to mix up training and will help out anybody who is into strength/power training! It has tightened up my form and made training a little more exciting for me, not a bad investment!
I have just purchased a set of Myprotein Resistance Bands. I would give a 5 star rating, but the only problem is that they are slightly too long (when doubled up) for hip internal and external rotation movements such as clams and reverse clams. For these specific rehab movements, the option of a shorter length band would be ideal. They are perfect though for hip flexion work.
