Suggested Use

Add 1 scoop (25g) and mix with approx 150-250ml of water or skimmed Milk (for a thicker shake use less liquid, for a thinner shake add more) . For the best results add liquid first, then powder into one of our shakers or a blender. Once mixed consume immediately. We recommend 2-3 servings daily.     Just about to order my second batch of Chocolate Mint - it really is like drinking after eights. Quality product and a fair price for the amount you get in a bag. I do have to transfer it into an old tub for convenience though, but that's fine. Just get a tub.

    Bought my 1st tub of this stuff (Milk Choc) in January been training for 4 months 3 times a week after work. Come home shovel some food down, then have this as "Pudding", Tasted amazing (used 400ml milk and 2 scoops, nice thick texture with no lumps, used in MP shaker with the wire ball) and have recommended to mates. Good gains from it, in 4 months i've put 1 stone 5lbs of good mass on. went for the Choc Orange flavour this time and hoping it's as nice as the milk choc. definitive use again, thanks MP.

    switched to this, and have been reasonably happy with it. gives me a little gas and quite soft bowel movements which whey isolate did not but will put up with it. Only been on it for a week so cannot really comment on effectiveness. i take one scoop pre workout and two after with water and usually one before i go to bed with half water half milk for slow release as i sleep. velvet vanilla tastes fine with both milk and water, all these people who complain about flavour need to man up and just get it down you!

    Used this for a good while now. Tastes great and gives good results. Had Choc mint , choc orange, cookies and cream, banana and all taste spot on. If you have an issue transffering to a tub from the new packaging just cut the top corner off with scissors and pour into the tub EASY! I won't use another supplier now, top product.

    Got this protein a few week ago (rasberry ripple flavour) but only just started using it today, have to say the taste is amazing if your someone like me who has a massive sweet tooth then have this with milk once a day and it tastes just like a milkshake and it kicks out the sweet tooth cravings, mixability it mixes very well no lumps nor is it powdery or anything like that, effectiveness yet to be seen as ive only just started using it.

    usually buy the impact whey protein from these guys and it is an awesome product, mixes great and tastes great giving the best amount of protein. however i tried this as it was on special offer and i am not a great fan. doesnt mix very well in the shaker, had to use a blender to get it to taste right. it is also very sticky powder so most of the shake sticks to the sides at the end so you will not get the full amount added. i would personally go for the impact whey. buy hey its just my advice, buy whatever the FUCK you wanna buy!!!! :)

    Ok so I bought this when it was on special offer and I can say I am not disappointed! The taste of the milk chocolate flavour is great - tastes just like the chocolate frij milkshakes you get. It also came with a measuring scoop which most other MP products don't. This offers excellent value compared to the big brands like Maximuscle which basically has the same stuff in but you pay twice the price!

    The one thing that separates myprotein products from any other 'branded' supplements is that the taste is not overhwhelming but still noticeable. I think this is due to the fact myprotein does not add so many additives, colouring and bad stuff. Really great

    This is my first time using MP, and I am impressed with the service in terms of how fast the items were delivered, and how easy the website is to use. I have been using other products in the past, but decided to give this a shot instead, as the price is good and i've heard good things about MP in the past. This smells great, but is very very sweet for me, especially coming from the previous products I have used (non MP). I may try an un-flavoured sachet to see if that's more suited to my taste buds. Otherwise all good. As others have said below, it would be nice if the sucralose content was reduced somewhat to give it less of a sickly flavour. Natural flavours are much more palatable than super sweet ones I find! I haven't been using it long enough to rate it in terms of effectiveness, but if it's like other whey i'm sure it will be good so long as you train hard and eat a balanced diet (the most important part!!) One thing I would like to see is an explanation in differences between the various proteins (i.e. impact whey and this), because it can be confusing for a first time buyer to choose a product. This is one reason why I haven't used this website in the past, as there isn't a clear guide on what's good to use after a workout (in terms of protein and not a creatine based product like Hurricane XS). I hope you find this review both fair and useful to help improve the products & service!

    Ordered two 5lbs pouches of raspberry ripple during the MP MAX sale. Tastes really good, if not better than a standard raspberry milkshake made with krusha or a similar product. Yes its sweet, but its a raspberry milkshake... not quite sure what the people who winged about the sweetness were expecting in the first place. Fantastic value, fantastic product.

    Very good delivery service as always, compared to other proteins on the market this is good value for the content. I have been using this a while now and although im not experienced enough to comment on sugar or any other chemical contents or anything it seems to be working very well for me, i got the cookies and cream flavour, tastes great! I want to drink it all the time, mixes really well after just a few shakes, not a lump in sight. I take it sometimes in between meal to supplement my diet and it does make me feel quite full for a while, it also definitely makes my recovery better and i seem to have put on some good lean mass! The only thing i would say is order a tub with it because the seals on these bags are not very good.

    i can honestly say this is the best product ive ever had! mixes extremely well and ive definitely felt the benefits. religiously take this after exercise and use it sometimes as a supplement during the day. i usually get chocoloate flavour protein but i took a punt at christmas on COOKIES AND CREAM flavour as i wanted a tub! (dont judge). best gamble ever-i mix one scoop with 350/400 mls of water and it tastes like walls vanilla ice cream! no joke! its not too sweet either so it never gets sickly. ive you've a bit of money to spend on protein get involved! if not ive used the cheaper proteins from MP and theyre decent for the money.

    I love the product itself - toffee fudge is great. However, the new packaging is horrid. It is difficult to open and even more difficult to reseal. I know you can buy vats separately, and I do indeed have some where I store the product. However, getting the powder into a vat is a nightmare - there is just no way to prevent it from spilling. I really wouldn't mind paying extra for the old packaging, this bag stuff just plain sucks.

    Well, this is just your basic protein powder which shows in the price, but i tell you what, its easily the best one out there and CHEAP. I have a shake in the morning with Oats and Creatine and post workout by itself. both with milk. Mixability: Honestly, this mixes a dream. I have read a few people saying its not great but IMO you just need to mix it better lol. Even when i use this in the beaker it mixed extremely smooth. Taste: i only get Vanilla and sometimes i spice my shakes up with coffee and other things. Vanilla is very nice on its own and compliment other tastes. I can't speak for the other flavours but i bet they are just as nice. Effectiveness: i can't really comment strongly on this one as i have not been using this order long however, mixed with there standard Creatine Monohydrate i have seen some very impressive gains in muscle size compared with the product i previously had. Overall: As above, mixes great, tastes even better, seems to work very well, its not heavy or sickly, i think MP nailed this one. No Nonsense, No Gimmicks, No Heavy Price good good quality honest protein at a great price. If you looking to get some protein for your first time or looking to make the change then i would recommend you use this product.

    I got my True Whey pouch within a lean gain bundle. I was a bit skeptical about the taste of Strawberry Delight.. No need for skepticism since the taste is AWESOME. Mixes very nice with cold water and cold milk. The taste is even better with milk. It's like eating a strawberry ice cream.

    Bought the cookies and cream, tastes amazing! takes the cravings of sweets/desserts away. Felt good taking the product however some of the other products here seem to be better for the goals i have. Just wanted to add, be carefull with your pouch, after 5 uses my seal ripped, carried on using it for a week or so, now because its not airtight im stuck with about 500g of rotten horrible protein.

    Simply too sweet for me but I will tolerate it .Sucralose is not a sugar despite its "ose" ending and was found during a seach for killer molecules for various organisms - it contains chlorine : but then so does salt and we can't live without that. I have to say that I abhor all artificial sweetners and so far, though it is early days, Sucralose has not been shown to be harmful so I will not worry about finishing off this large pack. Next time I will get unsweetened. I do hope that this does not upset the moderator but I suspect it will.

    Milk chocolate tastes like chocolate but sweet. Too sweet with dextrose, in fact with milk it tastes sickly man. For those thinking between true whey and impact whey protein, this has that bacteria/enzyme stuff which gave me loose stools. However i only brought this because at the time some kind of 40% off deal so worked out cheaper than impact whey. Wouldn't pay extra for true whey though. TL;DR Stick with impact whey, Milk Chocolate too nice but too sweet

    I started off using impact whey but wasn't really seeing great results, so I moved to True Whey, which is A LOT better. I've been using it for about 5 months now and I've put on about 9-10kg pretty much lean mass. Really helps with recovery too. If you're trying to bulk like me then mixing this with Instant Oats gives you, IMO, the best post-workout shake!

    Just got this order in the other day, delicious protein but be sure not to mix too dilute as can be significantly less delicious! Goes great with water so no need to use milk like with other proteins for flavour. However the "resealable" part of my pouch split from the bag on the first use and now I have to order a tub to put it all into. The protein is excellent and the added digestive enzymes help for those who have suffered with other proteins, but when you order make sure you also have a tub to put the protein into, as the pouch seal just doesn't cut it.

    I've been ill for a long time so lost a lot of muscle mass and for a few months I was trying to build myself back up with little success but since going on this I've been getting good, fast, consistent results. Not so good tastewise with water but its very much drinkable after the gym. At home its delicious with milk (like a proper milkshake, restrain myself from having another!) I've only had vanilla but I'm sure the others are as good, depends on what you like. Didn't give me any stomach issues either. Worth the extra cash in every whey.

    Strawberry tastes great but am very disappointed they've switched from the tubs to the foil pouches, as this adds valuable seconds to the time necessary to get a shake ready in the morning. Have now decanted the contents of the pouch into one of the old tubs. Not sure I will buy this one again unless the tubs come back.

    A couple of years ago I tried weighted excersises for around three months without the use of supplements like protein power etc resulting in little gains especially around my problem areas bein my arms and shoulders ( for some reason these parts of my body are very skinny compared to the rest) last month I decided to try it again but this time with supplements and I chose my protein true whey because of the price and the amount of servings per a pack compared to other brands out there. I received the package the very next day in the morning and since then I haven't looked back. Firstly the taste is great ( I've got smooth chocolate) and mixes well with either water or semi skimmed milk and even taking three servings a day after a month I've only just had To order another one which yet again came the very next day. The best part of it for me is the effectiveness of this product, using the same excersises as a couple of years ago with a few tweaks I've had massive gains includes 2 inches on my arms in 3 weeks, first week 1 inch, then the next 1/2 inch and the Third week another 1/2. I highly recommend this product and hope that it provides the same gains to you as it did me

    I purchased Chocolate Orange. Mixes better than PhD - no bits stuck to the bottom and consistency is fine (with water I have tried it only). Tastes OK. Not as nice as others, but for the price I am willing to compensate slightly - it isn't bad though. It tastes a bit similar to GOLD Standard protein powder, but I actually prefer the myprotein equivalent. I do wish that the orange flavour was stronger - I will probably try a different flavour next time.

    I chose the "Banana Cream" option and boy was I impressed. To be truthful I was slightly anxious about purchasing non-branded protein, thinking it would probably be of worse quality. However Myprotein completely proved me wrong, in a good way! This is hands-down the tastiest protein I have ever tried, the price can't be beaten, the shipping time is faster than any other online shop (and only costed 2.50).     Excellent product, have used for a while. Would recommend to anyone. Have tasted the strawberry and chocolate flavours and both are delicious. Mixes very well and I have seen good gains. However the new foil pouch was a huge annoyance, the seal was so useless I had to empty the contents of the pouch into the tub from my last batch. Which was a rather infuriating process to say the least.

    I bought 'Toffee Fudge' and 'Banana Smooth' and very happy with the flavours. I mix my shakes with skimmed milk using a Magic Bullet blender (blends directly into the cup you drink from so convenient and less clear up), and they taste great and the consistency is better than expected. Rests easy in the stomach too, no nasty gas or hurried trips to the toilet! Been 3 weeks and happy with gains, losing weight too (as per plan), so it must be effective. Will certainly be buying more and trying the other flavours.

    been taking this for past 4 weeks, very good gains! I raspberry flavour, which was a risk as there's very little reviews for this flavour, but its bang on it! nice taste, thick like an actual milk shake (unlike other shakes) generally good! The only thing I would say, is that there is genuine problems with the mix-ability of the shake, opposed to other protein powders - but this would not stop me buying. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking for an affective, affordable whey protein!

    Fantastic product, does exactly what you'd expect and there's no arguing with that. I bought this when on offer, I usually use IWP, and this has a far thicker consistency and imo a much sweeter taste. I bought vanilla and it tastes like bargin vanilla ice-cream, not bad at all. As a matter of opinion only I prefer IWP, for consistency of the shake, and price. I've not noticed any difference here with bloating (one of the bonuses here given the added enzymes etc), but then again I never get any with IWP anyway, so no real comparison. If you're a true whey regular maybe give IWP a go if you never have before - More bang for your buck.

    I see alot of people asking what the real difference is with this product over the IWP. The clear difference is the fact that this stuff has added emulsifyers which give it a far thicker consistency. This makes it for when you need to add water on the go. The issue with this however is that if you are someone like me, whos morning shake includes 2 scoops of instant oats and milk, you end up with a shake of mcdonalds thickness which is a bit hard going at 7am! What I actually do now is use normal IWP in the morning and this as my post workout treat for when I am just adding water. Choc orange and toffee fudge are both very nice but I would recommend the orange as a decent masker from nasty things like BCAA poweders.

    By far the best protein I've ever taken! Had several tubs of the velvet vanilla flavour now and I actually look forward to taking it, taste is fantastic. (Not tried any other flavours). Mixes perfectly every time with no lumps. Best with milk, but fine with water and it never leaves me feeling bloated as with many other company's products. I mix with BCAA and take first thing in the morning, post work-out and before bed. Taste is slightly affected by adding the other supplements, but not much and for me it's the best way to get them all down quickly and easily. Great product, would recommend to anyone!

    I bought this product because i liked the reviews of it, and people said that the flavours taste great! And yes it does, what a massive improvement on the taste of my other protein! Also, it digests much easier and doesn't make you gag. The only downside is that it doesn't have a really high protein count per serving. But overall, a great product!

By far the best shake i have tasted, this is the first day of using it so i can't comment on effectiveness but am sure that it will be good.     Vanilla - taste is ok, but not as good as total protein. Texture is very poor - gum like and sticky, not good with water, much better with milk. Taste and texture far worse than total protein. Effectiveness - unable to comment as only been using for a couple of weeks.

    bought this product about 2 weeks ago in chocolate orange flavour I have 2 scoops with milk post work out 1 scoop with milk before i go to bed (every night) I found the taste of choc orange was decent but my cousin bought cookies and cream and i had a taste and it tasted great! I have seen a slight improvement in my biceps after 2 weeks but nothing else yet - but it doesn't worry me as I have only owned the product 2 weeks. overall: Taste 8/10 effectiveness 8/10 value of product 10/10

    Not bad. Very high protein content and I don't have to run to toilet 4 times a day, don't go straight through me like few high protein nutritions I tried before. Digest very well. Personally I mixed it with Creatine. It's a perfect marriage.

    Great product, just bought my second batch of this. Had the Chocolate smooth and Strawberry, both taste great, also seen some great gains and a real addition to my diet when i am in need of a few extra grams of Protein. My only complaint is that if you put the powder in first then add water often a clump will get stuck at the bottom and won’t mix. Of course this can be fixed by putting the water in first but if you’re on the move can be slightly annoying.

    Great product, good taste and does the job. I used to use Maximuscle and it is quite good but overpriced, now I use this cheaper, effective and fantastic stuff with great offers and discounts, great delivery and honest marketing unlike other brands. It could do with some other proteins in like micellar casein etc. and possibly some minerals and vitamins but it is great and so worth it, tastes like milkshake, Strawberry Delight is amazing, delivered clear results for me in 3 weeks working out 4 times a week plus school rugby training, love it!

    Been taking TRUE WHEY for the past 3 months and what a difference I must say! True Whey mixed with hard work at the gym (45 minutes- 60 minutes, 5 times a week) and you’ll see a result. Being 6ft 6’’ this has help me a great deal. Have already converted a friend to MP and very happy with the other products I have tried and tested,( Recovery xs, Peanut Butter (smooth), the Beef Jerky and the High in Protein bars) with no complaints and with a great difference to my physique. Flavours are great, delivery is first class, Top stuff this MyProtein!!

    Toffee Fudge flavour is really tasty. Mixability with full fat milk is good but can foam quite a bit which settles quite quickly, however, for some reason, it does not mix well with skimmed milk ! I always take one or two pre-mixed bottled to work if I am in the office and never had a problem with the full fat milk one, however, the skimmed one seperates so that when I come to drink it at lunch it is not really in a drinkable state - it actually looks as though it has curdled although the smell seems fine - haven't dared to taste it ! Overall though this seems to be a decent product, good tasting, at a very reasonable price - so I will simply avoid the skimmed milk option.

    Started with Velvet Vanilla a few years ago which has been fantastic. Recently I have moved to Chocolate Mint which is sublime with milk or water. Myprotein's flavour scientists have definitely juggled a great blend there... However, be warned, leave your mixed Chocolate Mint shake for a while (2+hrs) and it will go off in a big way so hold your nose when you wash your bottle!

This is my new protein!!! i am going to stick with this from now on, milk chocolate is just like a real milk chocolate bar & the chocolate mint is out of this world it could cure any craving and as for the vanilla i have never been a vanilla flavoured protein fan but i have to say this one is something else it taste just like a real vanilla ice cream, very very happy with my purchase i will stick to this protein, great job myprotein.com you have nailed this one :)

    Ok, so this is my second True Whey tub, my first was Chocolate Milk flavour which was really good, and mixed excellent with water. The second True Whey tub that I just ordered is Banana Cream flavour. I tried mixing with water the first couple of times, but it wasn't thick enough, even though I used less water and it was hard for me to drink it. However, when you mix it with milk, the taste and the thickness is much better, and its like drinking a proper Banana milkshake! Overall, good product.

    I've used pretty much every protein on this site and have settled on this one. impact whey was pretty good and got me started but this has taken both my growth and recovery to new levels. For me taste is irrelevant but it's quite a treat after a hard match or training session. i've recommended this to so many people and now half my rugby team are using it.     This is a great product, ive had strawberry flavour, velvet vanilla and toffee fudge, strawberry has been the nicest, it doesn't get a bit sickly like the other two. I have it with water, the shake mixes well both with water or milk if you prefer, if you fancy a bit more protien just add two scoops, it still mixes well, even with only 200ml. its good for a quick protien boost as its low in fat and easy to drink, especially if you have a busy lifestyle.

    I've gone trough a few different brands of whey and if can recommend any of them, it's this one. The powder is really smooth and not messy at all. I've tried both vanilla and cream & cookies, both great tasting. It's a real smooth taste too, which is why and don't get some of the comments on certain flavours being horrible. Even if you don't like them it's real easy to not notice it just by adding a little more water to your shake since the flavour is not that strong. Overall, I don't see myself ever switching to any other whey for as long as I can buy this one.

    Bought this about a week ago. I got the Milk Chocolate flavoured True Whey because the other reviews said it was the safest choice to go with, which it was. It mixes really well, it tastes like a foreign-branded chocolate milkshake (tastes good though) and I am making noticeable gains and am putting on a nice amount of weight too.     Fantastic value for money. Effective protein which (imo) when taken with creatine mono and BCAA's pre and post, gives you all you're body needs to build and recover. I'm also currently adding 1 scoop of dextrose post w/o as a little experiment. Taste wise, i've so far had cookies and cream, strawberry and currently going through chocolate smooth. Have loved all of them although the chocolate smooth is getting a bit boring now. The only difference in taste i've noticed when mixing the products is the addition of dextrose (obviously). No problems mixing in a standard shaker with water, although with milk i prefer mixing with a fork or spoon as it can froth a little. All goes down the same way though. My lean mass increases have been substantial with MPMax, but, as with any supplement, you have to work WITH it to reap the benefits. Hard training, correct amounts and timing of you're supps and you'll be well on you're way.

    TOFEE FUDGE EXQUISTE, CHEAP AND WORTH MONEY I have spectacle about making the right choice abou this product. i can say that its truley amazing and it takes alot to please me. I got the toffee fudge which is heavenly with milk. the taste is not as good with water as it is with milk defo. The price is amazing, the product gives me that boost of protein before i workout. I add 2 scoopers per serving and works miracles but you have to work your ass off if you want the desired results!! only next question is which is the next flavour on the hit list!!!.

    Very good product! Been using this for 4 months now, tried Banana Cream, Velvet Vanilla and Raspberry Ripple and would say Banana Cream is the best as it took me a while to like the Raspberry one. Each flavour has mixed great. As for effectiveness have seen a goodincrease in lean mass and also weight loss but that could be down to diet. Have and would definitely recommend it.

    I have been training for about four months now. I have tried total protien and true whey velvet vanilla, which is a great tasting and mixing product with either milk or water, but more importantly i believe it has helped me gain size on my chest and triceps in a short space of time.(6 weeks). I take a little more than the recomended dose, about 1 and a 1/2 scoops and some days i have three drinks. I dont want to get massive just a half descent size and shape so this product seems to suit. Would recomend to anyone in same situation as myself. Plus good fast delivery.

    Tried this for the first time last month, ordered cookies & cream, really impressed with the size of the tub for the money, coupled with a balanced diet I have already started seeing & feeling some results already. I have a shake at 6.30am before breakfast and another within 30 mins of training. Tastes fantastic with milk, NOT so with water but hey this is a training supplement and not an ice cream by the the sea side!     My first ever protein shake purchased and very pleased with everything so far. Only had it a few days so effectivness I cannot really say but I do feel a slight differnce when im working out already. Taste - I went for the strawberry flavour (the safest option seen as it was my 1st time) and i dont regret it, had it first with water and it tatsed brill, then i tried it with milk and it tasted even better so i stick with milk now (250ml milk and one scoop of protein) does the trick. Mixability is great, bought a myprotein shaker with it (one with the mini whisk ball) and i can say it does a better job than what the blender does!! just tastes like any other milkshake you buy from shops etc. Effectiveness - like i said cannot really comment yet only had it few days, im just hoping to gain muscle and get a bit bigger as im not the biggest of lads at the age of 17 haa, so hopefully it will do the trick! Overall great buy , very cheap for a 5lb tub compared to other brands which are at least £40. Reccomend this product , ill be sticking with it in the future and ill write back when hopefully i see its effectiveness ! :D

    I decided to order a sample of each flavour before committing to a full tub. I can't have high milk content so mix them with water. They all mix really well and if you use 200ml you still get a reasonable consistency. I also leave to stand for a minute or so which may help. Milk chocolate is amazing but as I have these for breakfast I have settled on cookies and cream as it is lovely. I also use powdered oats to make it more of a breakfast shake. Vanilla was also nice as was strawberry. Choc orange tastes like terry's choc orange and mint choc tastes like mint aero. Raspberry ripple was nice but found it a bit sweet. Toffee Fudge was like a sweeter version of cookies and cream I didn't try banana. All in all very happy and glad to have found myprotein :-)

    Well, I have been using this True Whey Protein for almost a month now and I've got to say that it's pretty good. It mixes very well, I always use water, and as far as the taste is concerned, Milk Chocolate is fantastic and a safe choice for those who are not sure about which flavour to choose. If you like chocolate, you are going to love it! As for the effectiveness, well I have not gained any weight over the last month, but on the contrary I have gained muscle!     I bought the Chocolate Mint flavour after reading the reviews. The first sip is chocolatish, the rest is purely mint. I'd hoped, through reading the reviews, it would be more chocolatey... But alas! The consistency is good too with the recommended amount of water. It mixes like a dream too. No little sugary bits to chew on. I took a shake with 1 scoop 1 hour after my workout and it certainly wasn't enough. I should have had one for breakfast the day after or maybe had a couple of scoops after my workout. Having come from another shake brand to this I guess I have to get used to using this one differently. I will definitely be having straight after my work out as I leave the gym, before bed and a small one at breakfast. I would definitely recommend getting the tester pack though. Sure, some people might think this tastes like Aero Mint... I certainly don't. Now I've got 2kg to get through... Better up my regime at the gym!! All in all, if you're thinking of going for a change and want to drop in price from the big boys, this is probably a safe bet. I'm not dead after drinking it (a plus) and my muscles definiltey don't feel as bad as they have when I've not had a shake. I think I just need to review my shake intake routine, so be prepared to do that.

    Very good product, nice thick consistency just how I like. Sweetness is just right too ; no funny after taste like you can get with other non sucralose sweeteners. Flavour, mint-choc-chip is very nice and refreshing; one of the best protein flavours I've ever tasted . Mixes well too.     Exceptional product. I have only been using this product for a month now but have seen lean gains just like the product advertises. It mixes really well and the chocolate orange flavour is divine. Better than a milk-shake in my opinion. I crave it when I dont have it. The only negative is if you initially mix water and milk and leave it for a couple of hours while at the gym, it goes all gloopy and horrible, but I presume that's the case with all protein powders. Afterall, it does say consume immediately on the packet.

Chocolate, mint chocolate are great but my favourite by far is cookies and cream.     I've used this product for around a year. I'm not a weightlifter but train Muay Thai five days a week and run six days a week to the tune of 40 miles and this keeps me going/aids recovery. I think this protein is one of the best out there are it has a combination of several proteins unlike buying the single blend bulk isolate or impact whey pouches, it also has BCAAs to aid my repair. If you compare this protein to other brands you'll soon realise it's going to cost you near on £35 for a 200g-400g smaller amount. It mixes well and the flavours are great, so far I've had: Cookies & Cream- my least so far and probably 5/10 Strawberrry- tastes like a strawberry milkshake but I'm more a chocolate person 7/10 Chocolate Mint- the best protein powder I've ever tried 10/10 Chocolate Orange- only received this a few days back and have only had it in one scoop servings (find they all taste better as a two scoop serving) but it tastes exactly like chocolate orange 8/10

    Mixability for me was fine, seems others mix it by putting the scoop in first. Try putting the water in first you wont get it sticking to the sides ...     After using Impact Whey for half a year I decided to plump for something a bit fancier and wasn't disappointed. I like to create my own all in one shakes rather than buying them whole i.e. Hurricane XS etc so I mix this with creatine mono and a carb source (Dextrose at the moment but will go back to maltodextrin). I bought the strawberry delight flavour true whey and the taste is just like a good strawberry milkshake and with the dextrose it just makes it sweeter which might not be to everyones taste but it's definitely drinkable unlike some other all in ones which leave you feeling bloated and sick. All in all I would definitely recommend this product to others as a great starting point for creating their own shakes which is something I always encourage other people to do. Great work myprotein!

    I bought this product to use as part of a low carb/high protein diet to supplement a training programme (circuit training) with the primary goal being fat loss. I had a double scoop of this in the morning with a scoop of instant oats for breakfast, a single scoop pre/post workout. I used this product for about 6 weeks and went throug about two tubs, which is what my review is based on. Mixability: No problems whatsoever with the mixability of this product. Didnt have any problems regarding lumps. Forms a thick creamy shake, even when mixed with water. In the mornings I added a scoop of myprotein Instant Oats to the shake and hey presto, breakfast (just be sure to add a bit more water if you do this though) Taste: On a par with a rival product, Instant Whey Deluxe as the best tasting protein shake I have ever tasted. I have had the cookies and cream flavour which was nice (tastes like a caramac) and the vanilla, which was out of this world. Adding the unflavoured instant oats doesnt add to or take away the flavour either, just makes the shake a little thicker.

If i was to recomend a flavour I would say the Mint Choclate because it was hands down the best tasting one when mixed with just water.     I bought this Whey as it is one of the cheapest about and a friend recommended the company, I placed the order and within days it was at my door. First shake I used water and could not believe how well it mixed and tasted. My last Whey was from a competitor and let me tell you it is cheap and nasty compared to True Whey, I went for the Choc mint flavour and it is really tasty there in no need for milk I find, as it is nice with water. I do 2 scoops with 300ml of water and it makes a nice thick shake no need to use a blender doing a 30 second shake mixes it great. I would recommend to anyone from now on the True Whey from myprotein.com is one of the best on the market and at a great price

    This product is great value for money compared to the other leading manufacturers of such products.) I have tried the Vanilla and the Strawberry flavours and found the strawberry to be really tasty. I have always mixed my whey into a bannana smoothie (milk, 1 banana, whole oats and whey) and always use an electrical hand blender. Using an electrical blender means I have never had lumps from a whey product and this one was no exception. People have mentioned froth but I didnt experience this at all (maybe because my ingredients combined, holds them together.) Great protein content and low in carbs makes it ideal for me. I would recommend the strawberry one for certain as it was sweet without being sickly which I found the Vanilla flavour to be slightly.

    I use Hurricane XS and usually go for Vanilla and bought a 3kg bag of unflavoured last month and will use this as a flavour mixer. True Whey mixes so well and I got Toffee Fudge flavour, Its like drinking Angel delight and so damn tasty. Thanks My Protein as next time I get a craving for a Snickers this will suffice.

    Just got this today around 2 o'clock and had one shake after the gym, I was kinda reluctant to drink it because I usually hate protein powders. I got the chocolate and mint one and it tastes exactly like aero so if you like aero there's no way you gonna dislike this. It's also amazing how this proteine powder dissolves into the water, it's exactly like drinking water with a bit of chocolate and mind flavour. I highly recomend this protein and will definitely come back for more when this one finishs.

    The Milk Chocolate flavour is the most amazing flavour i've tasted, especially with milk! The reason I bought this was because it included BCAA so I thought it was more convenient than buying them seperately. Another thing I love is the thick texture it gives, making it feel like a milkshake, I think it might be due to the Digezyme or Lactospore! Mixability is alright, however when I leave a scoop of whey in my shaker with maltodextrin, the whey seems to stick to the shaker, which I didnt get with Impact Whey. Still a great product overall, and very effective!

    I normally don't bother to submit reviews but I have to say that this protein is great! There is an argument regularly put forward for people to just shut up and drink the bitter crap that some companies put out (after all, we're not drinking this for fun are we?) but surely if you can buy a delicious tasting protein that ticks all the boxes, then why not do so! I bought the Chocolate Mint flavour and once mixed with skimmed milk, three large scoops to 400ml milk, it tastes smooth, refreshing and just like a good quality milkshake. No lumps, no odd taste, no bits left in the bottom of the shaker. I've previously used proteins that left me bloated, this doesn't, not sure if the digestive additives stop that or not, but no complaints from me!

    This is my first time using True Whey and all I can say is WOW! this is the best tasting and mixing whey protein product I have ever used and I have had a few.     Most importantly, it works as a protein supplement with all the wonderful amino acids aswell, the inclusion of digezyme and lactospore is a nice touch. I've been buying this for a while now, but have never done a review. On to taste, I always opt for the strawberry delight flavour, it's nicer than other strawberry flavours i've had from different places. It doesn't froth up like some other companies products do either. I tried the toffee fudge flavour once, it wasn't nice, I should've gone for a sample of it first as I had to get through the whole tub before getting back to strawberry. I have it with water, but it doesn't leave a watered down taste, which is nice. I will also add Creatine Monohydrate to it aswell when I want and it doesn't change the taste or consistency.

    I've never used protein products before and I couldn't decide whether to try the small sample packs first or just to go for it. I decided to get Strawberry Delight and it is truly yummy! It really does taste like strawberry milkshake, it's such a delicious drink and so moorish! I've always liked strawberry milkshake so it was natural choice for me and I was very surprised at the lovely taste. I can't comment on results yet as this is my first day using it, but it's all good so far.

    I have reviewed it's more expensive cousin rating it all the same but the cost of it is shown to be a farce with this product being of this quality and cost. So this is my recommended choice because it gives your system all the it need before and after the hardest workouts. Thanks MP. PS. I recommend getting your carbohydrate intake from actual food sources as the body digests them better than powder or alternative option.

    im a cyclist doing my winter weights program and this has helped a lot. in teh attempt to keep a low fat % the 98g a serving is one of the lowest. i find with protein you have to compramise...e.g. high protein = high cals. but with thsi you get a good highish protein but with a low calorie intake. it is nice a filling, i will have 1 scoop with water a touch of coffee for caffiene boost about 30 mins before a session and then after the heavy strength or power sessions and even the turbo sessions i go for two scoops. also coffee with either the banana or vanilla flavours gives it a nice taste of tiramasu. apology for bad spelling, im on a train.

    I found true whey too be pretty good, it has helped increase my size a little (without creatine) but the best bit i thought was that helps you recovery so well remember training with out and killed to move anything but drinking this i can wake up next day and do it all again.     I have never written a review online before but I feel I should for this product. I have tried other powders before including heavily advertised brands and this product cannot be beaten on performance, taste, ease of use and price. Its a no brainer, high protein and low carbs. I mix it with 5g of Creatine Monohydrate and 5g of BCAA(both MP products) and am getting great results. Have only used orange flavour and it is so much more pleasant than any other powder I've used in the past. Couldn't be happier well done MP!

    This was my first ever MP purchase, recommended by a local gym instructor. I am new to the gym, not a bulk body builder or anything just trying to get fit and tone up. I used it to get a protein hit immediatly after working out and sometimes as a snak replacement shake in the mornings/afternoons. To begin with I was using it twice a day but began to fart with serious reek factor. I toned it down to one a day after workouts and occasionaly on other days if no other snacks took my fancy which reduced the smell! It work really well, no aches or pains after big sessions and some good gains & losses. I've just finished my first tub and as a beginner and going to try instead this time round 'recovery XS' and see if I notice any difference. I bought toffee fudge which was nice, but got a bit boring after a while. So much better with milk than water. Also better blended than in a shaker I found, but for convenience a shaker can't be beat. A good product.

    I have Choc Mint, it was gorgeous. now enough of the flavour and the mixing, this product is great for adding muscle and reducing recovery. Before this product i would work out 4 times a week usually upper body and legs and by the weekend i wouldnt be able to move. I brought this and have gained 3 stone of muscle in 2 months (I aint a expert so don't know if this is good but im impressed) My recovering time is now a few hours of pain the day after a workout and i feel more energetic and like i can lift a lot more weight, i can't wait for my second tub to arrive!

    Tried Whey Protein before but this stuff blows the competition out of the water. The Velvet Vanilla is the the dogs danglies. Combined with the MP Max Blender it mixes and gives a lush texture.     Ok well i got this product today, i usually have the whey isolate but. For £30 i saw this... low carbs... low fat is still in this so why not ? there is not that much different in the isolate and this... there is only 19gs of protein thou in 25gs... so if you want more.. add more, well as i say ive used MP for a while now... all there protein is good and is ideal for building,cutting,fat loss and building..... im on a fat burn.. muscle build diet [clean] with one or 2 shakes a day it keeps my protein levels up but as its low in carbs its ideal for me..... as for anyone wanting to loose abit of fat and build good muscle... as i say only got this today so i have not seen no gains BUT from past experience, i know the protein is spot on from MP. Just commented to tell you about mixing and flavours... ive tried chocolate in the isolate... and i wanted a change, so i got banana cream ... come today, FAST DELIVERY AGAIN! and the flavour is superb if you dont like natual protein powder.     I think this protein personally is the best value on the market as for taste and performance is concerned, i have used many protein and find alot are great but its the price you paying and alot of that is for the packaging (BSN, Gaspari are all fancy bottled) and this is pointless as you are throwing your cash down the drain, seriously just buy this and you will be pleased both financially and performance wise. i recommend Choc Mint very tasty and refreshing

    After being with every sport supplement company under the sun I tried MP after being recommended them by a friend, I rang up for a chat and some advice on their products and got honest, reliable advice telling me the exact products that I need to acheive my goal.     Having tried many different brands of whey protein in the past this is definitely the best of the lot. After having this for only 3 weeks my dumbell shoulder press has icnreased by 7.5kg, a massive increase compared to the progress I was making before I started using TrueWhey. A must buy for anyone trying to improve strength. Also it is one of the nicest tasting proteins out of all the products I have tried.

    I've been lifting now for around nine years and during that time I've sampled pretty much all of the big brand names: Maximuscle, Met-Rx, MuscleTech, BSN, USN, etc. However, MyProtein's True Whey is hands down the best powder I've used. It mixes well, it genuinely tastes great (mint choc chip or raspberry ripple are my my persona choices!) and most importantly it delivers real gains - lean gains. There're no pros doing commercial for these guys and so you don't for that: you get honest, functional supplements at an awesome price. As a biologist myself it also good to see frank descriptions of compounds contained within without the usual 'padding' (read: BS) that surrounds most supplement descriptions. You won't find better value or better quality - trust me, I've looked!

    Firstly, have not tried this with milk so have not added whether or not it goes well with it. I have tried the mint chocolate flavour which is quite good. THe only thing with this protien is that it gives you a very 'full' feeling after drinking it. This is not a bad thing per se but if you are having it with your breakfast then you will feel very full. Please note though, this is not a bloated feeling, it is a full feeling i.e. after a couple of hours you'll feel hungry again. Another positive I have found is that you don't get as much gas from this protien, I have tried dymatize, gaspari, phD, optimum nutrition. This is as good if not better than them all which is saying something considering it is at least £10 per tub cheaper!. Fantastic job, i've found my new protien supplier.

    I would like to comment on this. I been taking USN for many years I use about 4 tubs a month, due to unforseen circumstances I needed a new supplier. Anyway I normally only ever use Vanilla because I make my own protein bars and it goes well. I have tried Vanilla, Banana, Choc Mint, Toffee fudge and all these are great. I have archieved true gains from this without question, maybe due to my body so used to the other protein I used it shocked my diet and I have benefited more from it. True Whey is a great product I would recommed to everyone. It's a tastey change, mixes a little thinner than the other stuff I used. Overall I give this 5/5 I order all the other flavours today and im confident they will be great however I will always stick with Vanilla its just for me. Thanks Myprotein I shall be spending 200 of my childs inheritence monthly from here. Kind Regards.

    I have only started training so cannot comment on how it compares to other protein powders etc. But my first one today i must say was not bad as i thought. I bought the strawberry flavour and mixed 50g (2 scoops) with skimmed milk (200ml) and it tasted nice, a little to sweet for me personally but it was good enough to drink. It was like drinking a thick froffy milkshake. Overall very good, i cannot comment on how it effects me at the gym (ie helps build lean tissue etc) as i said i am new to body building. Hopefully it will be great. My only gripe is the price. This is not something i could afford to buy all the time, i guess i will have to find how to make my homemade protein shakes. Hope this helps others.

    My first True Whey tub was a strawberry delight flavour which was very nice and easy to digest (for me, may be different for some). I originally purchased True Whey since it was on sale. The nutritional content is superb. I can honestly say I’ve improved whilst using True Whey, following a good diet and intense exercise routine Iv found gains in mass and especially fat loss (not massive gains in size but definitely fat loss). My second tub which I ordered this week and received yesterday is Choc Mint which is really nice! Did have some stomach cramps yesterday but that could be anything and today I’m fine. My serving sizes are usually one scoop with water before a workout, 2 scoops with water after a workout and sometimes one scoop with milk before bed. If you're looking for a protein powder that is great tasting and CHEAP then True Whey is perfect! On another note people who review products within weeks of their first purchase and claim gains, I find HARD to believe! I have used this product for well over 2 months now and have seen success, and that why I have rated this product 5 stars in all areas. My comments on other areas like mixability don’t matter since when did a little froth harm anyone???? On that note there is no froth with this product! Hope this helps anyone who is looking to buy this product!

    Comments on 'effectiveness' are a bit silly really - it's whey, the benefits are well documented in various scientific journals, and the nutritional content is certified. It's just a food, after all. The critical factors are price and taste/mixability. Price: can't beat it unless you go for the low-quality bargain bin tubs elsewhere that taste AWFUL - and still aren't much cheaper. Taste/mixability: Chocolate orange is absolutely amazing, I really look forward to drinking it every day. Mixes well, no foam, lumps or powder stuck to the bottle. Excellent product. I've also tried the Impact Whey (which is slightly better value) but taste is very important to me and this True Whey definitely tastes good enough to justify the extra cost (plus you get a tub and scoop).

    First tub I got was chocolate orange, smells just like terry's chocolate orange. Mixed with water fine and milk fine, however could never really taste the orange just smell it. Overall I give this flavour 8/10 Second tub I got the chocolate mint. Smell's just like after eight mints. Mixed with water fine and milk fine, taste's exactly like after eight chocolate mints. Overall I give it 10/10 I love this flavour, you would be mad not to. If you like chocolate and you like after eight mints then get this shake.

    I've been taking 3 shakes a day (2 scoops) for months now and have ordered tub after tub. Im growing well with weight training and a high protien diet and using this whey to top up my protien needs.\n\nMixability is great! Shake for 5-10 seconds in a shaker and I never get a lump. \n\nPrice is great! - Much cheaper than alot of other whey and just as good as PHD Pharma Whey & USN Whey. \n\nI have tried nealry all of the flavours now and my favourites are vanilla, toffee, milk choco, Bannana and cookies/cream.     Just finished my first container of cookies and cream and am currently enjoying choc mint and strawberry. Yesterday I also bought some Body fortress from Holland & Barrett because they have a half price offer on the go. I must say that not only is MP cheaper per scoop, it's much tastier! I'm sorry I wasted my cash at H & B! Having been taking whey long enough to notice any gains, but from what I've read, protein whey is protein whey!     I have only tried the milk chocolate one and have stuck to it since it really tastes like a chocolate milkshake. aftr reading these reviews im guna try the cookies n cream flavour since everyone seems to be talking about it. The main point is that it does exactly what it says on the tin. I wont ever buy another powder for as long as this website exists.I take creatine and dextrose with my protein shake (it all goes in the blender with 400mg of soya milk) and im surprising everyone at the gym at how fast im bulking up. i have the stretch marks that sent me to the doctor thinking i have a disease to prove it. Creatine helps with recovery, strength and increases mass a lil, protein makes you bulk up and put on the weight. I think i found the perfect combination! DEFINITELY BUY THIS PRODUCT

Its a no brainer to buy True Whey.Plus you earn points when you buy something which i really like.     lets face it guys, there are alot of brands out there and and 95 percent of them taste like lumpy dish water. no one wants to hear how it tastes with milk because at the end of the day even the worst flavour tastes ok with milk. when your out and about, or on a diet, milk just isnt always the right choice. the true test of a good tasting protein is mixing with water. and the 'true whey' that ive tried, there is no differance in taste and little differance in texture when mixed with water than with milk here are my reviews of the flavours ive tried in the true whey series, choclate mint - tastes exactly like mint aero milk shake, lovley. toffee fudge - if your the type of person who likes something sweet for dessert, this is for you. was skeptical when ordered it as i thought it would taste bad with water but i was wrong. being a chocoholic before i started bodybuilding, this product is like heaven vanilla - just as creamy with water as with milk, very nice, complete oppersite to maximuscle vanilla which put me off trying vanilla protein for a long time but will be ordering more of this.

Ive been through a tub of bannana which tasted brilliant and now on chocolate orange which also tastes fantastic (it's like having Terry's chocolate orange in a shake).     I ordered three samples toffee fudge, strawberry and mint choc. Literally just finished the strawberry one now and its damn good. Only got my toffee left now dont kno about results yet cos i've only been doing it a few days but choc mint and strawberry taste good alot like angel delight in a shake. 4.5 stars cos it was a little lumpy after shaking for ages but overall great product p.s make sure you order on the courier delivery if you want it fast i ordered mine with royal mail and it took a couple of week to get to me.

    Been using true why for 1 month now and i can notice the difference already. I have used maximuscle prodcuts before and did not notice any difference after 3 months so True whey is a definate and it is much cheaper. I have bought milk choc and rasperry so far and i have not found the taste to be the nicest but still easily drinkable.

    I train for strength and I'm vegetarian so protein drinks are important to push up my protein intake. These are good powders that help with this and have no unpleasant side effects. Choc mint is the first one I got based on all the rave reviews here but with the special offer recently I ordered banana cream which is pretty good (although I can taste a little too much sweetener). I mix both flavours with water but I imagine they'd both be even better mixed with milk.

    This isn't about the protein itself, but rather the flavour. If you take some out the tub and eat it, it tastes like those banana foam sweets you can get. In a shake it's watery and isn't very pleasant at all, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you LOVE those sweets.

    Hi guys, dont waist your money on fancy tubs of proteins which are over priced so they can pay for jay cuttler's or ronnie colemans's hummers, MP whey is perfect and the wallet does not take a beating.     Anyone tried mixing this up as a hot choc drink?Shake up as normal with milk, pour in a cup. Microwave for about 2 mins stirring halfway. Depending how good your shaking is you might need to pour through a sieve.Awesome evening protein hit!

    This stuff is the best out of all the protein I've tried so far, it stops me feeling achy the next day both after weights and Thai boxing, so I can train everyday. I still take it on my off days too. The taste is great in all the options I've tried both with Milk and water and its great value for money.     I am sure somebody will come up with some scientific reason why you shouldn't but try mixing a scoop of the toffee fudge flavour with a scoop of Calcium Caseinate. Blend this together with some skimmed milk and you will swear you are drinking melted vanilla whippy ice cream, pure heaven!!!

    Bought a tub of Chocolate Orange flavour. Very nice taste. Mixes very easily in a shaker with no lumps at all. No bubbles at the top which always helps. Really nice flavour could easily take it 3 times a day. Used to use Maximuscles Promax which for 1kg was about £35 which is alot of money, and with Myprotein I get alot more for my money. You get 90 servings from a tub although if you use 3 scoops a day it will only last a month. Thoroughly recommend

    i don't do body buliding - i'm fat - i bought this as a meal replacement after reading the ingredients of this shake with more well known diet shakes. Most other shakes have a lot of sugars, this is low in carbs....also the sweetener was a big concern as others use the dread aspartame...I'm not sure if it will work but i replace two meals with this...and its delicious. I take a good multi vitamin daily as this shake concentrates on the proteins..

    I love the choc mint flavour best as a drink. When the new flavours came out I bought Toffie fudge. Was ok, maybe a little sickly for some tastes. Strangely It seemed to foam (with milk) a little more than the choc mint but was fine with water.\nTRY THIS- 3-4 scoops of oats, some chopped mixed nuts, water/milk ~microwave for 90 sec (approx)~ stir in 1 scoop of toffie fudge and some blueberries. To me it tastes absolutely gorgeous! I use toffie fudge just for this now and with around 90 servings per tub thats 3 months breakfast sorted!

    It's really hard to believe that these supliments are actually good for you, they taste fantastic and even mix brilliantly. I've tried the toffee fudge and banana and I can't recommend them enough. \n\nThe only down side MIGHT be that some people might find that they taste too sweet, not me though, I look forward to taking mine!!

Had been using another product, which had no issues with, but increase in price to £37 made it too expensive - albeit that its the equivelent of MP's Elite True Whey - I do not need this because I am not a pro athlete. I Tried True Whey due to using MP for other supplements (multi vits, carb powders) and was instantly impressed with the price, and ingredients. Tried the cookies and cream (v.nice) and the toffe fudge (too sweet and sickly for me, but still drinkable- but the wife liked). Now also tried the Milk Chocolate - which tastes awesome. At £27 a tub, and tasting like that I wont be using anything else for a long while. Quality product, no froth at all, and mixes so quickly when used in any bog standard shaker. Big thumbs up - very impressed!

    this is noe my third batch, every 1 seems to rave at how amazing the chocolate mint flavour is ( which dont get me wrong, it is amazing) but the banana and creme flavour is AMAZING!!!!!!! it truly is an unsung hero i will definately be buyig this flavour again. after the total dissapointment with the cookies and creme flavour which i have just given a third of a tub away to my cousin, this has definately made up for it.\n\nshall continue testing all other flavours but i can see me buying banana a lot more often :D

    this is a weird one really. top notch delivery and products as usual from my protein recieved within 2 days of ordering. im on the cookies and cream flavour now which im finding a little peculiar, my last order was chocolate mint which tasted AMAZING but like a big bulk by the end i was looking forward to my new flavour. so like a kid i crack open my cookies and cream and hit the weights, add my water in excitement and wow it just wasnt as nice as i thought it was going to be. now dont get me wrong it still tastes amazing but i was expecting more from the flavour, but even tho im disapointed with the flavour i still look forward to my shake which is the most important part and for that i still cant give less than 5 stars. im thinking ill try chocolate orange next :D

    Not really a fan of the whole shake thing, I know why you need them I know you should take them.. just never found one that didn't make me gag until now..\n\nI have used maximusle promax and that was the only one [vanilla] that would mix with water and not make me hurl...that doesn't mean it was nice tho! anyway I have tried the raspberry ripple flavour and today the Vanillia velvet and holy cow!!! what an amazing flavour... honestly troops this stuff is NICE!!!! I mean it really does taste good!.. but just for the record it all depends what your used to and I had bummed out of luck with my trials in the past but I used the samples with the MP blender bottle [well worth it!] with 250ml skimmed milk and 100ml cold water.... really did work a treat.. altho I think the raspberry ripple might be a bit too sickly for continued use.. hope this helps..

    I have been using a combination of Reflex, ON and Garnell Nutrition whey for the best part of 5 years. Just tried the Toffee Fudge flavour. Mixes very well indeed, no bits, no foam and tastes awesome with water. Will definately buy again as this 5lb tub is so much cheaper than the leading retail brands!! Highly recommended.

    For the price this is by far the best protein suppliment I've had at this kind of price - 2.2kg for £30 - it's a bargain. Mixes well with all the carbohydrate powder based drinks I've tried to make a good recovery drink after exercise. I've had Banana, Choc Mint, Raspberry, Toffee and Cookies & Cream, they're all great!!! (they really are - I've not got sick of any of them, and given the size of the tubs they come in that's impressive!). One thing I will say is that Toffee and Cookies & Cream taste quite similar so if you want more variety don't order both those flavours at the same time, otherwise it's difficult to fault. Sometimes feel slightly bloated after drinking it with milk but I think that's probably more down to the milk than the shake itself.

    There is another brand of protein by the name of Reflex which 'claims' to be the king of whey. now i've been on that stuff in the past, didn't like it. In the past few months i have been very loyal to MP and for good reason. This product is 100 times better than the so called 'king of whey' this is the "god of whey". Brilliant taste (mint choc - tastes like mint aero) and Brilliant results. Look forward to trying cookies & cream next month :o)

    good profile and i must say this is the only banana protein shake i have tryed that actually tastes like what you expect .. \nI love banana milk shake and after 3 or so years of trying to get a good tasting one i've found it! :) Always orderd with new companys and started with banana, never found one i liked, always drank them (cos we don't buy protein for the taste at the end of the day do we) but one thing i will say is for the nicest and best postwork out shake, get 2 scoops of this protein, a real banana, and some banana ice cream in a blender with some rice milk and MMMM! get those sugars and proteins in baby!

This protein is incredible tasting (I like the chocolate orange flavour!), it is excellent from a nutritional viewpoint (very high protein, low carbs, low fat, no sodium), and is fantastic value for money!\n\nOther proteins are too expensive and often poor nutritionally, but True Whey is an excellent protein and good value for money.

    Yeah, definately the tastiest protein you'll ever try! Honest! It tastes god-like with milk and its still better than most proteins with water...the taste is still amazing! Seems to work well, been putting on lean tissue gradually and is cheap enough to help supplement you well as you can take more of it than you can of other unbelievably ridiculously overpriced proteins (cough maximucle cough). This works well in conjunction with creatine as well to help people who want to build lean tissue and size faster!would definately reccomend it! i have the chocolate orange flavour and it actualy does taste like teyys chocolate orange...great stuff!

    I have been very impressed with MyProtein so far - supplements are cheap, of good quality and are delivered super fast. The choice of flavours is also impressive!\nI am on the Velocity Diet at present but decided to use this protein rather than the recommend brand, and ordered choc orange, velvet vanilla and rapsberry ripple. All three are great and mix really well. The vanilla is tasty but also easy to customise with spices or using various types of tea or coffee as part of the liquid. Raspberry is not too sweet and also tastes good with a shot of espresso.\nCan't wait to try the cookies and cream and toffee flavours when they come!

    I ordered samples of Choc/Orange and Velvet Vanilla. The Choc/Orange tastes lovely, but the only problem is that it's too thick. I normally only need to mix 300ml of skimmed milk with my protein shakes, this required about 500ml. The Velvet Vanilla sachet sat there until i'd polished off the Choc/Orange ones, but if i'd have known it tasted so good i would have had it first. Now i'm normally a vanilla man, so i've had vanilla protein from most manufacturers, but i've never, ever had one that tastes this good. The main thing for me is no Aspartame and no Acesulfame-K as these seriously upset my stomach, so Sucralose is an acceptable sweetener. The taste of the Velvet Vanilla is SO good that i'll be ordering a 5lb tub later today.

    This powder was GREAT! It's the first powder I bought from MP that was flavoured and they didn't disappoint. I was half expecting Smooth Chocolate to taste very artificial and nothing like chocolate at all (like you get with other "High Street" brands) but the taste was AMAZING! Really helped take the edge off the chocolate craving.\nMixing was a doddle, couple of shakes and it was drinkable with milk or water (tastes slightly watery, like any choc powder mixed with water), and no foam, as promised.\nI bought my tub in August, and I'm still using it (granted, I had to take a break, but still)! \nThen only "down side" (for me I stress), was the Protein content was a smidge low.\nOtherwise, top notch! Well done MP!

    been using this for just over 4 weeks now.\n\ngood points:\nmixes well, tastes great, added about 4lbs of lean tissue over 4 weeks.\n\nbad points:\ni started getting really bad heart burn throughout the day after taking my morning shake. not sure if its the digestive enzymes they put in this but ive stopped taking this and the heart burn is gone.\n\ngoing back to something with more carbs now to try to bulk a bit again.\n\noverall i gave it 3 stars as it wasnt suited to me due to the heartburn.

    Yes Yes Yes, this must have been what meg ryan had ordered in that restaurant in "when harry met sally" tried 3 flavours, first of all velvet vanilla, what can i say apart from "who tipped out my protein and filled my shaker with melted vanilla ice cream", WHAT A REVELATION this stuff is amazing, i have it in the morning on my oats and it feels like i'm eatting a pudding for gods sake, the raspberry ripple again tastes like someone melted some raspberry ripple ice cream into my shaker but god almighty then there came the chocolate orange OMG!!! imagine "yes you guessed it" someone melting 20 terry's chocolate oranges into your shaker lol i kid you not its THAT GOOD!!! never froths, which was always a bad thing in terms of giving you wind ouch!!! it mixes so easily the other day i just imagined shaking it and when i checked it was mixed like velvet, thank you soooo much my protein you guys are the main men when it comes to protein, 3 times a day (morning with oats, an hour before my workout, and straight after my workout, it tastes so good i almost feel guilty, but it tastes so good that that's never gonna be a problem :D.

    I usually choose the Vanilla flavour with my protein as it tends to flavour better when mixing with food, although, this time I went for the Choc/Pep which tastes just like icecream, however, when mixed in with my Porridge it takes a couple of days to realise its my brekie and not my pudding I'm eating!!! P.S.. it tastes and shakes great just as a drink....

    Ordered a sample of banana, strawberry and raspberry. Am yet to try raspberry, but the strawberry tastes great. No froth. I mix with a hand blender and 200ml semi skimmed milk! Will definately be ordering 5lb when my unflavoured whey runs out.\n\nBanana is a little sweet for my liking - will try to describe the taste - it's like those 1p sweets you used to be able to buy, you know, the shrimps, bananas, etc! It takes like a liquid version of those bananas!\n\nI'm glad they offer samples as I was going to order the banana but will opt for the strawberry instead!

Delivery, is excellent. Top marks. \n\nI tried this product for the first time tonight, my rota starts from tomorrow, and I thought I'd give it a try tonight. Can't say I have any complaints with the taste. I'm not a fan of chocolate, but this sh*t (can I say that?) tastes good!! I'm 100% sure I will be consistently using this product.\n\nBut it's not the taste or the delivery of the product that matters, it's the results. I'm unsure as to how it will function with my body. I'm yet to see the results. Like I said, I'm 5 ft 9, 7 and 1/2 stones, one skinny mo fo, and I've set an ideal goal, to be a little bit bigger by next July, so I can flash the t-shirts without developing a complex. I'm not looking to hardcore bodybuild, just to put on a bit of weight to be honest. Is 9 and 1/2 stones by next July asking my body too much? Can someone give me advice? What should I eat?     In my opinion there was very little wrong with the old whey protein from MP max, i could happily use it as my whey suppliment forever, the one tiny gripe i had with it was the froth. That is it. True whey gets rid of all the froth so makes a very good product even better, which you cannot complain about. The taste (choc orange for me) is gorgeous and the whey mixes very smooth. Overall highly recommended.\n\n

    I bought the 'velvet vanilla' after reading the reviews. It tastes OK but you have to remember, protein whey isn't meant to taste good, its there to give you an instant 'shot' of protein post workout. Good value for money though and will be buying again.

    Just received the True Whey Choc Orange (couldn't not after all the glowing reviews!) as well as the Raspberry and they are both lush! Previously had Maximuscle Promax Diet and Dorian Yates both of which are about twice the price and this does the job perfectly without the need for added gimmicks (green tea extract in the Promax Diet!) and has hardly any carbs too - result! Really pleased - and delivery was super quick too. \n\nBeen afraid to try a new protein shake for fear of wasting money as I am a bit fussy and don't like them too sweet (if anything these are a little on the sweet side for me...) so was so useful to read all the reviews below before buying and I was not disappointed - in fact I nearly ordered one in every flavour but refrained! Mainly because the bulk order saving is only if you buy all the same flavour - would be great if you could apply the discount to buying any flavour and then I could justify the indulgence!\n\nThanks!\n\nCaroline

    I am very impressed with both the quality of the product and the service! I received a sample of the strawberry flavour very quickly. I mixed the 25g serving with 200ml semi skimmed milk, and the flavour was amazing, just like a proper strawberry milkshake. It reminded me of strawberry ice-cream! It mixed very well also, just in a MP shaker with little froth, and no lumps. As for the results, I do not know, but I have been using Impact Whey for 2 months and have gained 5kg, so if that works then im sure this will! I hope the taste is as good with water, for my PWO shake. Will have to finish my 5kg of Impact Whey left, so I can order some of this! Thanks MP once again!

    Excellent product, superior to anyting on the market... reasons why:\n\nAmazing taste, Terry's chocolate orange-like\n\nNo froth, easy to mix, tastes good in water.\n\nI use 300g whey per day and it has not effected by stomach, due to probiotics and digestive enzymes.\n\nThe only negative aspect I can highlight I have used it up within 2 weeks. This is due to the nutritional aspect, if there was a higher protein content, I could manage an extra week out of it.\n\nI appreciate that it's hard to balance nutrition with taste, however it's something I would rejig before naming it the ultimate suppliment.\n\nFantastic product from Myprotein.\n\nWell done.

    I was getting a bit board with another make of whey, that did its job but was a bit boring in flavour.\nJust got the Choco/Orange True Whey and its lovely stuff to drink, subtle in flavour and creamy smooth without too much mixing.\nI bike to work, 8 miles each way and I usually hammer it both ways, I reward myself with a protein shake straight afterwards. I now look forward to having my shake coz it tastes fab.\nGoing to order a different flavour and will probably have two tubs to save a bit of cash.\nOnly been using the True whey for a week and I cant notice any difference in its performance from other leading brands, accept in flavour and price. Go get some !!!

    This is a hard review for me to write as i do not take any joy in writing it,i was a little dissapointed with True way,not with the ingredients or the flavour but the way it mixes,there seems to be to much air in the shake,iv'e use the new shaker bottle with the spring thing in i've used the new shaker bottle with the spring thing out,iv'e used my old shaker bottles i've mixed in a jug with a spoon/fork but still it does not seem right to me it's just to fluffy? i don't think i will be buying it again.

    I've tried the lot and this one definately is the best!\n\nMaximuscle progain/promax doesnt mix well and leaves you feeling bloated for an hour or so until you 'get rid of it'\n\nLA Whey, that stuff is disgusting! Avoid like the Plague\n\nBSc (BodyScience) Mass Monster was my personal preference and gave great results but at around £39 plus postage per tub it was bleeding me dry.\n\nThe MP TrueWhey is gorgeous and easy to mix (milk chocolate) the price is great too. Only had 3 shakes so cant comment on performance yet but the signs are good.\n\nWell done MP

    I tried the strawberry delight and it tastes great, not too sweet and quite natural. The texture is perfect and unline some whey shakes that end up thin with loads of foam on top, this remains slightly frothy right through the shake. I wanted another one right after finishing the first, so that's a good sign. Another bonus was that it didn't bloat my stomach up and the usual atomic farts never showed. This is really high quality stuff.

    Mixability: Excellent just as it states. I use a Shaker, but you could do just as good a job with a glass & a fork (Don't forget the water/milk though!)\n\nFlavouring (Choc Orange): The flavour is good & well balanced, but I have to stress that it is rather 'subtle' in comparison to many other protein powders, and so this can be seen as a pro or a con, depending on your personal tastes. If you generally find most other mainstream brands too sweet, then True Whey will be just what your looking for. And respectively, if you've got a sweet tooth in general, then you may end up disappointed,...or just fat & out of pocket from using triple-sevings all the time! -)\n\nResults: It's too soon to say, but the quality of the product is excellent. It has an excellent Amino profile with a good amount of BCAAs, and digestive enzymes to boot! I'm sure it's tick the right box here.\n\nHope this helps!\n

    I just tried the chocolate orange flavour in water. I went for water because while I expect the drink would be more enjoyable in milk, I wanted to see if this is something I would be happy about taking to the gym and mixing with water on a regular basis.\n\nFirst thing that struck me was that the protein drink actually smelled nice. might not sound like much of a consideration, but it smelled like chocolate orange and that made me feel a lot better about drinking it.\n\nTaste wise, it really delivered. The chocloate background was a nice 'milk chocolate' flavour and as Mozza points out, there's absolutely no bitterness. The orange flavour was spot on, not overwhelming but nicely in balance with the rest of the taste. The aftertaste is very good- not clingy or anything, but reasonably long-lasting.\n\nA slight criticism is that even mixed with the recommended amount of water, it seems a little thin. I realise that this probably wouldn't have been an issue had I mixed it with milk, but if I had the option I would have liked to have a bit more thickening agent in there. I didn't get the impression that I used too much water (200ml), it's just that in water the chocolate orange flavour seemed to lack the texture I want. I'll stress that this is probably only the case when mixed with water and I expect that if I had used milk then this would be a very satasfying drink.\n\nOne thing I particularly like about this supplement is the addition of probiotics. For people who regularly use whey supplements I can imagine their digestive health gradually improving without them thinking about it. That would certainly be a selling point for me and it would be good to see pre/pro boitics in the other protein supplemets.\n\nAll in all I was impressed. Great flavour, no froth, digestive health, high protein content and I would be perfectly happy about mixing with water on a regular basis even though I would prefer a thicker texture. Good stuff.

    The original MP max protein was good enough for me, but this is even better. You no longer get the frothy bubbly milk at the surface of your shake anymore, it is much smoother to drink. The milk chocolate protein is delicious.\n\nI am cuttin at the mo and am a real choco addict, so i have made my own protein chocolate using this stuff, just add cocoa powderand milk, nuts and raisins if you want some extra flavour/goodness, and freeze for a few hours for a nice healthy snack high in protein.\n\n

    I've tried quite a few different protein powders from MP and this is by far the best for the following reasons:\n\n-Not too sweet (and no acesulfame-k).\n-Flavouring is subtle and not overpowering.\n-No cheap fillers and a competitive price.\n\nI tried the Chocolate Orange flavour in 300ml whole milk and 100g Oats. As the title states it was spot on!

I mixed it half and half with unflavoured whey (25g each) and added about 500ml of semi-skimmed milk... nicer than a McDonald's milkshake. I can't wait to taste it on its own without the unflavoured stuff added in.\nI will never buy another protein again!
