Suggested Use

Add 700ml of water or milk into our shaker (the less liquid the thicker the shake will be). Then add 3 MP large scoops (100g), shake and consume. Alternatively, add 350ml of water or milk and 1.5 MP large scoops (50g). Use 1-3 times daily or as required. 1 x level MP Large Scoop weighs 35g.

    Bought a 5kg bag of vanilla flavoured extreme pro gainer and arrived very quickly. First tried it with semi skimmed milk but found it really thick and sickly with recommended large scoop and half per serving, however much easier to drink and quickly started to enjoy the taste with water instead. Went from ten stone and half to nearly eleven stone and half in 2 months now with 2-5 gym sessions a week since started. Overapl very happy with the product would definetly recommend to a friend.

    I can't recommend MYPROTEIN enough, hard gainer extreme mixes easily enough and the vanilla tastes ok, not too sweet. The results are pretty good (mix with some hard graft!) I will see how I progressed after 2 months use. Great price and delivery.

    I bought this stuff after a friend's recomendation and I am very happy with it, i dont mind the taste at all so to the people who complain about it, shut your eyes, hold your nose and get it down you. It works well as i am trying to get back up to my target weight of 78KG so i am very pleased with my progress so far ....good value for money.

    I ahve just started takng hard gainer on the 19th march 2012 and ive been working out few dumbell exercises and push ups and sit ups.. I can feel my muscles aching so this should be a good sign.. the shake flavour is fine and the mixability is easy.. Just wondering is it easier to mix with semi skimmed of just water or whole fat milk? And why do i keep going to the toilet with my protein shake?

    Out of all the products I bought, this one is the worst tasting and smelling (smooth choc flavour). The previous comment about resembling a pet shop smell is pretty accurate. However mixability isn't an issue, and the nutritional content is worth the 30 seconds of bad taste. Overall I'd recommend maybe go with one of the other flavours though...

    Drinking it rite now 3 large scoops to about 500ml of water. I have the smooth chocolate flavor, prob the best one i have tried so far, not sickly at all! Almost reminds me of a chocolate serial, would recommend to anyone!

    I can't recommend this product. The 'chocolate' flavour tastes like a pet store smells. A strong flavour of sawdust and crap. Beware it requires 3 scoops to gain the 'high calories' it boasts. 1 scoop is more or less the same as a regular Impact Whey drink - that which I can recommend.

    I ordered this last week and had my first shake today. Its the worst tasting shake i've ever had, its like sugar sweet. Theres barely a hint of chocolate amongst all the sugar taste. I tried this instead of total weight gainer and i will be switching back straight away. I would seriously recommend to anyone wanting to buy this product to get the total gainer and just add an extra scoop for the extra calories. Also, the mix ability is good but it remains like a chalky liquid instead of dissolving. It doesn't thicken very well either so just stays very thin. Overall, don't buy this product get total gainer instead and add extra powder.

    Been using hard gainer extreme (along with a normal impact whey) and its a good product to put some size on fairly quickly, take a pic of yourself before using and then again after even just one month, if your training properly you will definately be happy with the results! I really reccomend this to anyone who knows what their doing and wants to size up! Ive never had a GOOD supplement that tastes amazing but its not the worst, but who cares when it does the job?

    after using impact weight gainer for 4 months, and going from around 10.5 stone to a tad over 12 stone, i was looking for something with a little extra as my weight gain was starting to plateau (also altered my workout), and hard gainer extreme ticked all the boxes, a variety of proteins and a variety of carbohydrate sources make this a great shake that covers pretty much everything because of the gains i had made with impact weight gainer, i wanted to continue using oats, so i take instant oats along with this, and continue to put on weight and size. i've been using HGE for a month now, and can say im impressed, as i was with IWG, but i think im starting to benefit from the extra variety this shake has, not only weight gaine but recovery times. i shall continue using it for a couple more months and report back with any extra weight i've put on. i take this as follows: 1 hard gainer extreme shake mixed with instant oats in the morning. 1 shake of instant oats an hour before workout 1 hard gainer extreme for supper taste makes no difference to me, supplements are for the gains, but chocolate isnt bad at all with milk.

    I ordered this two weeks ago. i dont know why some people just mourne about taste , taste and taste too much . i dont give a monkeys as long as the the product works . tell you what this works . i been using myprotein stuff for a while now this is the product if you need to bulk. i ordered Vanilla and it taste fab . god knows what one of the previous reviewers were on when he wrote this but guess everyone has their opinions . ill defo buy this again as i know it works as i can see my face puffing up with weight with this product . another great pruduct MP keep up good work

    Firstly I rarely write reviews but in My Proteins case I don't mind! I've just plenty of products from this website, non have ever tasted bad, mixed badly or not done their job! I decided I want to add some more size before cutting for the summer so got this. Mixes well and the vanilla does indeed taste like cookie dough... I love cookie dough and I think it tastes great! Which is a plus as I'm not looking for a macdonalds milkshake, just something drinkable! Delivery rapid as usual! Not used it long enough to report on gains but I'll be back! Keep up the good work MP Team!!

    i bought vanilla and it taste not nice atall but i also got instant oats aswell and mixed them both together which was not as bad. Do not get vanilla as it has a very bad after and before taste !

    I'm getting to the end of the bag and i'm just about to order again, this shake is great! , i actually look forward to drinking this after a workout , i ordered vanilla but i think that should be changed because it's more like a biscuit flavour. Anyway, 5 out of 5 for me! Highly recommended.

    I bought it yesterday, the mixability can be a bit annoying as some gets stuck at the bottom but as you drink it loosens and mixes, so it isnt a big deal at all. I ordered chocolate smooth, with water it was nice, not something i would always drink but it went down well, but with milk it was amazing, just tasted like a regular chocolate milkshake, something i would buy. Effectiveness i have rated at 3 stars because i only started today, other reviews say it is good. So overall a brilliant buy for me and i will be staying with myprotein.com

    I'm not worried about the affect this have on weight gain. Looking at the ingredients, its clear it should do at least as good as other products in packing it on. What does it for me is the taste. Choc smooth is one of the best tasting shakes I've had and I've tried a lot of the MyProtein range so far. It mixes extremely well in a shaker and perfectly in a blender. If you mix and leave for a few hours, you wont get as much sediment in the bottom of your shaker as you do with oats shakes. As this has 34g protein and 47g carbs, its a good combination for saving money if you are looking to put weight on and dont want to have to buy multiple products. I mix 1.5 scoops with 1.5 scoops of choc oats and add 700ml of full fat milk. Take it 3 times a day and feel the energy boost all day long. mmmmmmmmm...

    Mixes well with a grate or drop whisk, with either water or milk. Have been having three per day with semi-skimmed milk in between meals and gone from 72kg to 75kg in less than 2 weeks, can defs notice the improvement. ordered 2.5kg of choc and 2.5kg of strawberry to avoid getting tired of one flavour. cant knock it, i'm back for more. the guy whinging about flavour.... man up.

    I purchased this product yesterday and tried it tonight after my workout, I ordered the Vanilla which smells more like cookie dough, as for the taste it nearly made me sick absolutely the worst tasting drink I ever had and to be honest I'll throw it away I do not reccomend this to anybody and I shall not be buying from this website again.

    Just finished my first month on hard gainer extreme i thought the smooth chocolate was great tasting and mixed well with blender nice with water or milk .I have put on three pound on in the month not a bad result really.I had a large scoop with oats for breakfast and a shake after training with two scoops in will be getting this again soon .

    Just finished a 5 kg bag. Haven't gained weight really - had 5 meals a day on the top of 2 servings if that gainer. I will try it again, but if after another bag wont see any effects, definitely wont purchase again...

    Been using for just under one month and have put on over 8 pounds, 2 heaped shakes a day, the product definately works, tastes alot nicer than the other bulkers as well. Only gets a 4 due to price, very calorie dense but still much cheaper to mix ingredients yourself, great for people without the time though

    Mixes well if put the powder in at bottom of shaker i think!! Tastes - easy enough to drink!! smooth chocolate, just like any ordinary milkshake, both with milk or water! Doesnt seem to have done much - 3 a day for a week then moved onto 2 a day, 1 morning and another at night... if any gains very little from a 2.5KG bag so i'd imagine you'll need a fair few bags!! Overall - Neither up or down. Possibly work slightly better for others!!

    I've been using this for just over 3 weeks now after deciding to switch from a competitor product due to the price increase on a 2.5kg tub and there no longer seems to be any 5kg tubs. I'm actually glad I decided to choose this! I mean the amount of grams protein/carbs you get for only 444 calories is brilliant considering the other product was 900+ calories with water and not much more protein. The only bad points I have is im using the new smart shakers and only holds 400ml (14oz), so mixing is kind of an issue with it being lumpy and leaving a powdery taste, even though my old one mixed fine, but this is easily solvable. The taste was also really sweet when I first tried it but soon got use to it. Overall I'm really happy and I'm already seeing some really good results. would recommend this to others straight away, Thanks MP!

    I have this product a little under a month and i can now safely say that this is yet another great suppliment from Myprotein. First of all Value for money £23.99 for 2.5kg and £43.99 for 5kg, as said above i have had this suppliment a little under a month and there is still plenty in the bag considering i have 1 shake everyday. Non Training Day: 15:00 Hard Gainer Extreme, BCAA's and Creatine Monohydrate Prebed Milk Protein Training Day: 10:30 Instant Oats Pre Gym Instant Oats, Creatine Monohydrate, Taurine Post Hard Gainer Extreme and BCAA's Pre Bed Milk Protein Taste: Unfortunatly when I ordered this product they had already sold out of the strawberry flavour so i opted for the Chocolate flavour as i had another vanilla suppliment the time before. But when i finally got round to having my first chocolate hard Gainer extreme its tastes great its has quite a rich taste but having a sweet tooth i dont really mind that and it hides the taste of BCAA's very well. Mixability is great as always with all there products i would recommend using the full amount of water and using MP's blender ball shaker too make sure its nice and smooth. I have continued to slowly gain weight and not put on any unwanted fat. I couldnt recommend this suppliment enough to any one that wants a good tasting, all in one protein shake. Dom x

    Just arrived 2 days ago and been having 2 a day with 2 big scoops. Cannot believe how filling it is! Like drinking a liquified steak haha, but the taste is gorgeous. The fact that it doesnt have the mixing qualities of other MP products is actually better, the bits and lumps feels like bits of cookie dough and ice cream when mixed with milk. Hoping the beefy title will give me the results!

    I am a huge fan of myprotein products but on this one, i feel let down. Bought the strawberry flavour and was delivered today. Mixability is reasonable, its quite gritty, which only makes the taste worse than it is. How they managed to describe it as strawberry flavour, I really dont know. Its an awful flavour which tastes between a mix of paper and bricks! I fully do not reccommend this product, MP's total gainer is much much much better and if i could get a refund I would. Effective, yes but the taste and mixability ruins this product. Disappointing.
